MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Flexible Circuit Technologies Inc. (FCT), a Minnesota-based flexible circuit and advanced electronics manufacturer, is pleased to announce the development of its Liquid Leak Detection Flex Assembly, a custom-engineered sensing solution designed for liquid-cooled AI servers, high-performance computing (HPC) systems, cold plates, manifolds, quick disconnects, coolant distribution units (CDUs), and other mission-critical electronics.
As AI and HPC platforms continue to move toward direct-to-chip liquid cooling, early detection of coolant leaks is becoming increasingly important. FCT’s flexible sensing assembly is designed to fit around the geometry of the cooling system, enabling leak detection close to potential failure points while maintaining a thin, lightweight profile in space-constrained server and rack environments.
The Liquid Leak Detection Flex Assembly can be customized for the application, including sensing patterns, circuit geometry, connector interfaces, and multiple detection zones. Potential monitoring locations include supply and return quick disconnects, GPU and CPU cold plates, manifolds, coolant lines, CDUs, and server trays. The flex-based architecture is intended to help OEMs and cooling-system manufacturers integrate leak sensing directly into their equipment rather than relying solely on facility-level leak detection.
