WCH Alerts New York Medicaid Providers to 123-Day Revalidation Deadline Under New Statewide Process

New York State Medicaid is rolling out a statewide revalidation initiative, and all revalidation is completed online through the PSP. Providers should confirm their contact information and portal access now, then act promptly once their official revalidation notice arrives

NEW YORK, Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — WCH Service Bureau, a provider enrollment and credentialing company founded in 2001, is urging New York healthcare providers to make sure their Medicaid contact information and Provider Services Portal (PSP) access are up to date before a revalidation notice arrives. New York State Medicaid is rolling out a statewide revalidation initiative, and all revalidation is now completed online through the PSP.

Receiving the notice is only the beginning. The new PSP process means using a different online system, reviewing your information, gathering documents, and meeting fixed deadlines. Checking your contact details and portal access now takes minutes and can mean acting right away, not weeks later.

Every provider enrolled in the New York State Medicaid program is affected. Notices are being sent in phases through June 2028, so providers will be notified at different times by email and U.S. mail.

What providers should do now: confirm that the mailing and email addresses on file with Medicaid are current, and set up the NY.gov business account needed to access the PSP. Providers should then wait for their official notification before beginning revalidation.

Once the initial notification letter is issued, providers have 123 calendar days from the date of that letter to complete revalidation. Because that period is counted from the date of the letter, a notice that reaches a provider late, or not at all, leaves less time to finish the process. Providers who do not complete revalidation in time risk termination of their Medicaid enrollment. Requirements are available in the official guidance from the New York State Department of Health: https://health.ny.gov/health_care/medicaid/integrity/provider_revalidation.htm.

“Receiving the notice is only the beginning,” said Olga Khabinskay, COO, WCH Service Bureau. “The new PSP process requires providers to work through a different online system, review the information on file, gather the required documentation, and respond to follow-up requests within a fixed timeframe. For practices managing multiple providers or locations, that becomes a significant administrative task. The good news is that checking your contact details and portal access takes very little time now, and it can make the difference between acting on a notice right away and discovering it weeks later.”

WCH Service Bureau supports physician practices, behavioral health organizations, clinics and group practices with PSP navigation, preparation and review of revalidation documentation, and submission and follow-up.

Providers who have received a revalidation notice, are having difficulty with the PSP, or are unsure whether their Medicaid contact information is current can contact WCH Service Bureau at wchsb.com/contact-form.
