EMA Webinar to Unveil Network Operations Toolset Strategies for the Post-Cisco Prime Era

Published

EMA research recommends that customers with multi-vendor networks should treat this moment as an inflection point where they take a comprehensive look at their overall network operations toolset

LAFAYETTE, Colo., Feb. 15, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Enterprise Management Associates (EMA), a leading IT and data management research and consulting firm, today announced it will host a research webinar titled “Expert Insights: Rethinking Your Network Operations Toolset as Cisco Prime End of Life Arrives.” Featuring industry experts Shamus McGillicuddy, vice president of research covering network management at EMA, and Jon Kies, team leader of ITOM cloud product marketing at OpenText, this webinar will provide essential insights for organizations navigating the transition away from Cisco Prime Infrastructure.

For over a decade, Cisco Prime Infrastructure was a leading solution for managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting Cisco-based networks. With Cisco announcing end-of-life plans for this solution and promoting migration to DNA Center (DNAC), EMA research underscores the need for organizations with multi-vendor networks to reevaluate their network operations toolset comprehensively.

Research from EMA discovered that the typical network operations teams use four to 15 tools to manage and monitor infrastructure. This fractured approach to operations often leads to inefficiencies and errors. As Cisco Prime exits the industry, it’s crucial for network managers to seek ways to consolidate and optimize their toolsets.

During this webinar, McGillicuddy and Kies will discuss the impact Cisco’s announcement will have on network management teams, providing insights on:

Why network management teams need to take a new approach to network toolsInsights from network management professionals who are planning a Cisco Prime replacementEssential features and functionalities organizations should prioritize in their next network management solution.

“Network engineers and architects often tell me that they are struggling with operations,” McGillicuddy said. “Network management tools are often the root of the problem. Network operations teams struggle with fragmented toolsets, data quality and authority challenges, and complexity brought on by multi-vendor networks. Whenever an IT organization plans a transition to a new network management solution, it needs to consider how it can resolve these problems.”

Chelsea FC name fast-growing fintech platform as Principal Partner

LONDON, Oct. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Chelsea Football Club has today announced a multi-year partnership with Sokin, the embedded finance and payments company used by businesses worldwide. Sokin will be named a Principal Partner and Official Business Payments and FX Partner of Chelsea FC and Chelsea FC Women.

As a Principal Partner, Sokin will be represented on the sleeves of the Chelsea FC men’s, women’s and academy home, away, and third kits from the 2026/27 season.

The partnership brings together two ambitious London-headquartered organisations with worldwide reach – a club with millions of fans across the world and a fintech platform through which businesses move more than $11 billion a year. A club of Chelsea’s scale works in many currencies every day, with partners, competitions and supporters around the world, and needs a financial partner built to handle that.

Sokin gives finance teams business payments, multi-currency accounts, foreign exchange, checkout and treasury in one place, so they spend less time juggling banks and providers and keep more of what they move.

As Official Business Payments and FX Partner, Sokin will simplify how Chelsea FC sends, receives and manages money in the currencies the club operates in.

The Sokin logo will feature on the sleeve of the Chelsea shirt for the first time [when the men’s team host Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 24th October.]

Jason Gannon, President at Chelsea FC said:

“At Chelsea, we seek to partner with organisations that share our ambition and innovative mindset. Sokin’s expertise in business payments, and their focus on making both simpler for the businesses they serve, makes them a natural fit for the Club. We are pleased to welcome Sokin to the Chelsea family and look forward to working together in the years ahead.”

Vroon Modgill, CEO and founder at Sokin said:

“Chelsea plays on the biggest stage in world football, and its business runs in dozens of currencies. Sokin was built for that with regulated, multi-currency payments and foreign exchange for organisations that operate internationally. We’re proud to be the platform behind the business payments and FX of one of the most iconic teams in football. Sokin’s platform serves businesses in more than 170 countries. We’re thrilled to be partners for the season ahead. An organisation as sophisticated as Chelsea doesn’t leave its finances to chance.”

About Sokin

Sokin is the financial layer global business runs on. Businesses can transact, convert and hold money in 70+ currencies across 170+ countries. Some businesses use Sokin to manage global finance in-house. Others build it into their products to power financial experiences for their customers.
