Dye & Durham Schedules Special Meeting

Published

on

TORONTO, Sept. 23, 2024 /CNW/ – Dye & Durham Limited (“Dye & Durham” or the “Company”) (TSX: DND), today announced that the special meeting of shareholders (the “Special Meeting”), called in response to a shareholder requisition submitted by activist investor Engine Capital LP (“Engine”), has been scheduled for December 10, 2024.

The Company had previously called the Special Meeting for August 20, 2024, however it was later postponed because of an interim order of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) on July 17, 2024, after activist, OneMove Capital (“OneMove”) commenced baseless litigation against the Company. OneMove’s litigation, in which Engine was an intervenor party, was subsequently dismissed on September 17, 2024.

Shareholders will receive details about the matters to be presented at the Special Meeting and about how to vote in a management information circular to be delivered to shareholders in advance of the Special Meeting.

The Company remains hopeful that this matter can be settled and is open to a resolution to avoid the further expense and distraction of a contested shareholder meeting.

Akeyless Recognized in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Privileged Access Management

Inclusion in the analyst report comes as Akeyless extends its Runtime Identity Security platform from AI agents and machine identities into human privileged access

NEW YORK and TEL AVIV, Israel, Oct. 26, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Akeyless, a Runtime Identity Security company protecting enterprise systems and data by securing AI agents, machines, and human identities, today announced its first inclusion in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Privileged Access Management (PAM), among other vendors evaluated in the report.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant for PAM 2026 evaluates vendors that manage privileged access for both human and machine identities. Akeyless has built its Runtime Identity Security platform around machine identities, workloads, and AI agents operating across critical enterprise systems, and already secures 1 billion daily machine identity interactions for Fortune 500 and Global 2000 organizations. The company is now extending that foundation into human privileged access, bringing its identity-first, just-in-time approach to a broader PAM market.

“Recognition in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Privileged Access Management is an important milestone for Akeyless and we believe this validates the direction we have taken from the beginning,” said Oded Hareven, CEO and Co-Founder of Akeyless. “We started with the identities that increasingly run the enterprise: machines, workloads, and AI agents. Now we are bringing that same approach to human privileged access. The future of PAM is one model for governing privileged activity across every identity.”

The Akeyless Runtime Identity Security Platform unifies secrets management, workload identity, certificate lifecycle management, PAM and other critical identity controls across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Akeyless delivers a powerful set of capabilities that include:

AI agent access and runtime control: Akeyless SecretlessAI® keeps credentials out of AI agents, while Agentic Runtime Authority governs what agents can do once access is granted.Just-in-time credentials and secrets management: Issue short-lived credentials on demand, automate rotation, and centrally govern secrets across cloud, DevOps, Kubernetes, and enterprise environments.Secretless machine access: Authenticate machines to privileged systems without static secrets using OIDC and SPIFFE/SPIRE-based workload identity, solving the “secret zero” problem.Dynamic privileged access: Grant time-bound, least-privilege access to human and machine identities without relying on permanently privileged accounts.Unified PAM and secrets governance: Apply consistent policy, lifecycle controls, and audit across privileged access, secrets, and existing secret stores from a single platform.Zero-knowledge architecture: Patented Distributed Fragments Cryptography™ keeps sensitive cryptographic material secure and under customer control.

The Gartner inclusion follows wider analyst recognition of Akeyless across multiple identity security categories. KuppingerCole named Akeyless an Overall Leader, Product Leader and Innovation Leader in its 2025 Leadership Compass for Enterprise Secrets Management and subsequently named the company a Product Leader and Innovation Leader in Non-Human Identity Management. Akeyless has also received recent industry recognition from the Global InfoSec Awards and Cybersecurity Excellence Awards, including honors for AI agent identity security, machine identity security, secrets management, and identity and access management.

For A Bright Future Foundation Launches NextGen Finance Lab Across Manhattan High School District, New York

District-wide rollout brings project-based financial literacy and professional mentorship to Manhattan’s 50 public high schools, building on a successful pilot at Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis High School

NEW YORK, Oct. 26, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Louis Hernandez Jr.’s Foundation For A Bright Future (“For A Bright Future,” “FABF”), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding educational opportunity for underserved youth, today announced the district-wide expansion of its NextGen Finance Lab program into the Manhattan High School District. In partnership with the Manhattan High School District Team, under the supervision of Superintendent Gary Beidleman, FABF will launch the program’s first cohort of 8 high schools this fall, with plans to bring the NextGen Finance Lab to additional Manhattan high schools in the semesters that follow as part of a phased, district-wide rollout.

“At Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, we saw firsthand what this program can do. Our students left Pitch Like A Dragon more confident, more articulate, and more prepared to manage their own financial futures than I’ve seen from any other initiative we’ve run. I’m proud that the model our students and teachers helped build is now reaching classrooms across Manhattan,” said Manuel A. Ureña, Principal, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis High School.

The NextGen Finance Lab is a project-based financial literacy program that integrates the Dave Ramsey Financial Literacy curriculum with FABF’s FinTech mentorship ecosystem. Throughout the program, students build core skills in budgeting, saving, debt elimination, investing, and entrepreneurship, while working directly with FinTech industry professionals who share real-world perspective on banking, digital wallets, investing, and career pathways in financial technology. The program culminates in “Pitch Like A Dragon,” a school-level and district-level competition in which student teams pitch original business and FinTech concepts to a panel of industry leaders, venture capitalists, and New York City business professionals, with scholarship awards presented to top teams.

“This expansion is proof of what’s possible when a nonprofit, a school district, and industry partners commit to the same goal. Everything we’re scaling today started as a pilot at Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis High School, where educators and students helped shape the curriculum and the ‘Pitch Like A Dragon’ event structure now being adopted by seven more schools this fall. That’s how one school’s success becomes a lasting pathway for thousands of students across Manhattan,” said Gina Rogoto, SVP, Operations and Programs, For A Bright Future Foundation.”This expansion demonstrates the collective impact achievable through aligned partnerships. The model shaped at  Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (JKO) High School now serves as a lasting foundation for advancing financial literacy for thousands of students across Manhattan,” said Gina Rogoto, SVP, Operations and Programs, FABF. The success at JKO High School, now fueling district‑wide deployment, was strengthened by the guidance of FABF’s Consultant in Academic Affairs and former Senior Deputy Chancellor of the NYC Department of Education, whose deep expertise helped shape a program adaptable to each school’s unique vision and academic priorities.

FABF and the Manhattan High School District Team have confirmed the following schools for the initial launch cohort:

FABF’s long-term goal is to bring the NextGen Finance Lab to all 50 high schools in the Manhattan District, expanding in phased cohorts over the coming semesters.

“As someone who spent a career in financial services, I know how much of a difference it makes when young people are exposed to these concepts early. This program doesn’t just teach students about money; it gives them the confidence to pitch real ideas, take feedback, and think like entrepreneurs,” said Benson Porter, Program Chairman, NextGen Finance Lab, FABF.
