WASHINGTON, Dec. 4, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Qorvis welcomes Benoit Lioud as Managing Director of its Geneva hub. With more than 30 years in the commodities trading sector, Lioud brings extensive knowledge of commodities markets, including market dynamics, geopolitical drivers, and risk management. His technical expertise and his strategic marketing and communications acumen will benefit the growing roster of Qorvis clients in shipping and trading.

Benoit Lioud has more than 30 years of experience in the commodities trading sector.

“As the global economy grapples with geopolitical and regulatory uncertainty, shippers and traders must be ready to adapt their business models,” says Qorvis CEO Matt J. Lauer. “Benoit Lioud’s decades of experience in commodities markets will enable us to better support companies with diverse banking and trading needs to navigate the complexities of evolving compliance landscapes across jurisdictions.”

Lioud spent nearly 20 years at Mercuria Energy Trading, one of the largest global energy trading companies, based in Geneva. He helped develop Mercuria’s biodiesel trading activities, including leading negotiations for the acquisition of a biodiesel plant in Germany and setting up a complete trading team. In parallel, he supported the management team with corporate communications, serving as the primary liaison for French-speaking media and stakeholders, and contributing to Mercuria’s first ESG reports and transparency and human rights initiatives.

Previously, he worked at Elf Trading, now TOTSA, the trading arm of the global energy producer TotalEnergies. He spent 13 years focused on derivatives, starting as a risk management analyst. He later joined the marketing team, where he helped clients structure energy-hedging strategies, including managing risks across their energy portfolios and carbon-related issues. He began his career in risk management for non-ferrous metals markets.

“I’m excited to join Qorvis to help companies navigate and effectively communicate complex issues to their stakeholders,” says Lioud. “I look forward to leveraging my expertise in the commodities sector to support our clients in addressing the challenges of this dynamic and evolving industry.”

A recognized leader in commodities markets research and analysis, Lioud has developed training programs organized by Suissenégoce, the association of commodity merchants, including in conjunction with the University of Geneva. He received one of the 2024 Suissenégoce awards, recognizing “members who dedicate their time and expertise beyond the industry to media and authorities, to raise awareness about the commodities trading sector based in Switzerland.”

Lioud is a member of the scientific committees of the Master, Certificate, and Diploma programs in commodity trading at the GSEM. He earned his Master’s degree in financial market organization from the University Lumière Lyon 2 in France.

Based in Geneva, Lioud will work with teams across the agency’s strategic communications, market intelligence, compliance, and regulatory practice areas, as well as support business development throughout Switzerland and Europe.

Lunai Bioworks Announces Receipt of Nasdaq Determination and Intention to Voluntarily Delist and Deregister

Published

on

By

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Oct. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Lunai Bioworks Inc. (Nasdaq: LNAI) (the “Company”) announced that on October 21, 2026, it received a letter from the Listing Qualifications Department of The Nasdaq Stock Market LLC (“Nasdaq”) stating that the Company no longer complies with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(b)(1), which requires minimum stockholders’ equity of $2,500,000. The Company reported a stockholders’ deficit of $(9,024,946) in its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, and does not meet the alternative market value of listed securities or net income standards. Because the Company is subject to a mandatory Hearings Panel Monitor under Nasdaq Listing Rule 5815(d)(4)(B), Nasdaq staff determined to delist the Company’s securities. Trading in the Company’s common stock on Nasdaq is expected to be suspended at the opening of business on October 30, 2026.

The Company will not request a hearing. Rather than contest the staff determination, the Company’s Board of Directors approved on October 22, 2026 the voluntary withdrawal of the Company’s common stock from listing on Nasdaq under Rule 12d2-2(c) under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended. The Board took this action because of the staff determination and the Company’s financial condition, and concluded that the cost of continued listing and SEC reporting is not justified.

The Company notified Nasdaq of its intention on October 22, 2026. The Company intends to file a Form 25 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) on or about November 2, 2026, and expects the delisting to become effective on or about November 12, 2026. The Company then intends to file a Form 15 to suspend its SEC reporting obligations, to the extent it is eligible to do so. The Company’s SEC reporting obligations will continue unless and until they are terminated or suspended in accordance with the SEC’s rules.

The Company does not intend to arrange for quotation of its common stock on any over-the-counter market and cannot assure that any trading market for its common stock will exist after trading on Nasdaq is suspended.

Forward-Looking Statements
This press release contains forward-looking statements, including statements regarding the expected suspension of trading, the expected timing of the Form 25 and Form 15 filings, and the expected timing of delisting and deregistration. Actual results may differ materially due to risks and uncertainties, including Nasdaq and SEC procedures and the Company’s financial condition. The Company undertakes no obligation to update these statements, except as required by law.
