The 2024 Understanding China Conference (Guangzhou) Took Place

Published

on

GUANGZHOU, China, Dec. 5, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — The 2024 Understanding China Conference (Guangzhou) took place on December 3 at the Guangzhou Yuexiu International Congress Center. Over 600 participants from the political, strategic, business, academic, and think tank sectors, both domestic and international, attended. Themed “Carry through the Reform to the End–Chinese Modernization and New Opportunities for World Development,” the conference was a joint effort by the China Institute for Innovation and Development Strategy, the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs and the Guangdong provincial government.

Thanks to the support of its domestic and international partners, the Understanding China Conference has become a leading global platform for understanding China’s development strategy. This year’s conference saw a significant increase in international participation, with 100 representatives from overseas, Hong Kong and Macao, including nine former heads of state, 16 ministerial-level officials, two ambassadors to China, and other leaders from diverse fields. This reflects the conference’s growing global influence and the increasing desire for international dialogue and consensus-building. The program included keynote speeches at the opening ceremony, six parallel seminars, 14 thematic forums, two closed-door discussions, and numerous supporting activities, attracting over 100 domestic and international media outlets.

China consistently adheres to the development logic of “China can only do well when the world is doing well. When China does well, the world will get even better,” framing its progress within the context of human development and providing more opportunities for global progress. Today China is steadily advancing Chinese-style modernization through high-quality development. This not only fulfills the aspirations of 1.4 billion people for a better life but also contributes to global peace and development. As former Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome said, Chinese-style modernization is not just internal development for China; it offers new opportunities for global development. China looks forward to working with other countries to create a favorable environment for development, address various difficulties and challenges, and promote a model of global modernization characterized by peaceful development, mutually beneficial cooperation, and common prosperity.

This year’s conference prioritized showcasing the global significance of China’s further and comprehensive deepening of reforms and its advancement of Chinese-style modernization, demonstrating to the world that Chinese-style modernization has opened up new paths for promoting global modernization. The agenda also aimed to: demonstrate the characteristics and achievements of Chinese-style modernization; address international concerns about China’s further and comprehensive deepening of reforms and its commitment to expanding high-level opening up; and foster discussion on topics such as the unified multi-ethnic Chinese nation and common development of the Chinese nation, cultural preservation and innovation in historically and culturally significant cities, and the innovative development of women’s leadership. Ultimately, the conference sought to promote fine traditional Chinese culture and facilitate cultural exchange and mutual learning.

The expansion marks an important chapter in the company’s growth and its continued commitment to helping businesses operate more efficiently, securely, and confidently through technology.

As part of the transition, Network Brainiacs has maintained CES’ existing Frederick location and retained members of its local team. The two parties are exploring business opportunities in stablecoin payments and corporate treasury management.

Jointly identifying new use cases and business opportunities in stablecoin-based global payments and fund transfersReviewing the potential of digital asset-based financial infrastructure for global corporate finance and treasury managementLinking MoonPay’s global network with Dunamu’s GIWA blockchain to support global ecosystem expansion

NEW YORK, Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — MoonPay, a global crypto payments and stablecoin infrastructure company, is pursuing a strategic collaboration with Dunamu in the field of global financial infrastructure built on digital assets.

The two companies will jointly identify new business opportunities across areas including stablecoin-based global payments and fund movement, and corporate finance and treasury management. By combining MoonPay’s global financial services and network with Dunamu’s technology and business capabilities, including its GIWA blockchain, they plan to explore the potential applications of digital asset-based financial infrastructure.

First, the companies will look for collaboration opportunities in global payments and fund movement using stablecoins. Drawing on both companies’ technology and infrastructure, they will review a range of cases in which digital assets can be used for cross-border payments and fund transfers, and examine the business potential of new financial service models.

The companies will also pursue collaboration in global corporate finance and treasury management. They will jointly review ways to apply digital asset-based financial infrastructure to corporate finance and treasury operations, and identify related business opportunities and usage models.

Expanding Dunamu’s GIWA blockchain ecosystem is another key area of collaboration. Leveraging their respective global ecosystems and partner networks, the two companies will explore ways to broaden access to GIWA-based services and digital assets and strengthen the GIWA ecosystem’s global connectivity. In particular, by linking MoonPay’s global services and network with Dunamu’s blockchain infrastructure, they aim to increase overseas market access for services and assets within the GIWA ecosystem and jointly identify new business opportunities in global markets.

“For stablecoins to function as global financial infrastructure, it is important to have the technology and network to support not only cross-border payments and fund transfers, but also the real financial operations of businesses,” said Bugeon Lee, Head of APAC at MoonPay. “By combining Dunamu’s blockchain capabilities with MoonPay’s global financial infrastructure, we will explore new possibilities for digital assets and work together so that the GIWA ecosystem can expand into global markets.”

Going forward, MoonPay and Dunamu plan to firm up the technical and commercial potential in their main areas of collaboration, namely stablecoin-based global payments, corporate finance and treasury management, and GIWA ecosystem expansion, and to continue identifying new business opportunities that draw on both companies’ strengths.
