Benuta Selects Constructor’s AI Shopping Assistant and Product Discovery Platform to Personalise Online Shopping Experiences

With Constructor’s AI, Europe’s largest online rug retailer can give shoppers ‘the red carpet treatment’ — providing individualised results and recommendations that boost satisfaction and sales

SAN FRANCISCO and BONN, Germany, Dec. 9, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Benuta, Europe’s largest online store for rugs, has recently deployed Constructor‘s ecommerce search and product discovery platform to personalise and enhance online shopping experiences. In addition, Benuta will use Constructor’s AI Shopping Assistant, a groundbreaking conversational product discovery tool, to help shoppers better find the rugs and home accessories they’ll love.

Offering an extensive and affordable selection of rugs — from trendy, vintage styles; to modern Scandi designs; to washable carpets for children’s rooms — and home decor to complement them, Benuta seeks to help shoppers “create a home that has as much personality as you do.”

With more than 20,000 items for all spaces and aesthetics, there’s something for everyone, but it’s critical for Benuta to make it easy for shoppers to find the right things for them. With its previous product discovery platform, a search for “living room rugs,” for example, would reveal living room rugs… but not ones that were meaningful to the individual shopper.

“Our customers are all unique, and their interior spaces reflect their styles and lives,” said Andreas Fischer, Head of Ecommerce Technologies, Benuta. “With Constructor’s personalisation features, we can help shoppers quickly and enjoyably discover their dream rugs. We’re excited to leverage advanced search options that guide our customers intuitively to the products that best suit their preferences — making their shopping experience both seamless and inspiring.”

Giving shoppers the ‘red carpet treatment’

Constructor’s search and product discovery solutions focus not just on relevance (“Is this a living room rug?”) but also attractiveness (“Will this rug be attractive to the shopper searching for it?”) — so Benuta can create experiences tailored to each shopper on their site.

The company is using Constructor across its many European domains — in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK — and personalising for shoppers in their local languages.

Benuta currently uses Constructor to personalise search and autosuggest results and browse experiences across its online properties. By automating time-consuming manual tasks, such as detecting synonyms and adjusting for typos in online search, Constructor saves Benuta’s merchandisers time, so they can focus on more strategic and creative activities.

In addition, Constructor’s Merchant Controls and Intelligence give Benuta actionable insights into how the decisions their merchandisers make (e.g., slotting a rug at the top of results or boosting up higher-margin home accessories) affect the site’s metrics as a whole.

Next up: AI Shopping Assistant and more

In the next phases of its implementation, Benuta will roll out personalised product recommendations and landing pages that cater to each shopper’s tastes, as well as AI Shopping Assistant (ASA).

With ASA, Benuta can make ecommerce search more flexible and valuable to shoppers — with the ability to support longform, conversational queries like:

“Can you suggest a trendy rug with blue and gold hues for our living room?””Help me find a durable, absorbent and bright carpet for my child’s bathroom.””What should I consider when buying an outdoor rug?” and so on.

Results make sense contextually, are in stock, and align with the shopper’s history and preferences (for colours, materials, brands, price points, etc.).

“As they look to increase customer satisfaction, forward-looking retailers like Benuta are increasingly personalising shoppers’ interactions. We’re incredibly excited to be working with the Benuta team on this,” said Bernd Maehrlein, Constructor’s VP for EMEA. “Whenever shoppers engage with Constructor-powered results, that information gets fed back to our platform to optimise future experiences. With Benuta using Constructor across many areas — search, browse, recommendations, landing pages, AI Shopping Assistant, etc. — shoppers will benefit from tailored, cohesive and helpful experiences at every stage of their journey.”

Sokin will be named a Principal Partner and Official Business Payments and FX Partner of Chelsea FC and Chelsea FC Women.

As a Principal Partner, Sokin will be represented on the sleeves of the Chelsea FC men’s, women’s and academy home, away, and third kits from the 2026/27 season.

The partnership brings together two ambitious London-headquartered organisations with worldwide reach – a club with millions of fans across the world and a fintech platform through which businesses move more than $11 billion a year. A club of Chelsea’s scale works in many currencies every day, with partners, competitions and supporters around the world, and needs a financial partner built to handle that.

As Official Business Payments and FX Partner, Sokin will simplify how Chelsea FC sends, receives and manages money in the currencies the club operates in.

The Sokin logo will feature on the sleeve of the Chelsea shirt for the first time [when the men’s team host Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 24th October.]

Jason Gannon, President at Chelsea FC said:

“At Chelsea, we seek to partner with organisations that share our ambition and innovative mindset. Sokin’s expertise in business payments, and their focus on making both simpler for the businesses they serve, makes them a natural fit for the Club. We are pleased to welcome Sokin to the Chelsea family and look forward to working together in the years ahead.”

Vroon Modgill, CEO and founder at Sokin said:

“Chelsea plays on the biggest stage in world football, and its business runs in dozens of currencies. Sokin was built for that with regulated, multi-currency payments and foreign exchange for organisations that operate internationally. We’re proud to be the platform behind the business payments and FX of one of the most iconic teams in football. Sokin’s platform serves businesses in more than 170 countries. We’re thrilled to be partners for the season ahead. An organisation as sophisticated as Chelsea doesn’t leave its finances to chance.”

Private investment comes as Arcanus builds out Canadian manufacturing capacity for autonomous aerial systems

DUBAI, UAE, Oct. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Yazan Al Homsi, a UAE-based investor and managing partner of Catalyst Communications DMCC, has invested US$500,000 in Arcanus Aerial Systems Inc., a Toronto-headquartered developer and manufacturer of unmanned aerial systems for defence, public safety and critical infrastructure customers. Al Homsi is an investor only and holds no operational, advisory or board role with the company. Other terms were not disclosed.

Arcanus is a Canadian-controlled company. It currently lists more than 15 platforms across heavy-lift, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), cargo, strike and counter-drone missions. According to the company, its published line-up includes:

AB 516e: a long-endurance vertical take-off fixed-wing aircraft rated for three hours of flight.AE 401: a counter-drone interceptor with a top speed of 300 km/h.AC 5250: a cargo platform with a 250 kg payload and a range of more than 2,300 km.

Alongside defence, Arcanus markets its systems for wildfire detection, search and rescue, Arctic sovereignty, border and maritime patrol, and pipeline and power line monitoring.

The company has spent 2026 assembling its domestic production base. In April, Arcanus signed a binding term sheet with Portugal-based Beyond Vision, granting it rights to manufacture, commercialize and support Beyond Vision’s unmanned aerial systems in Canada.

In June, Arcanus announced a five-year agreement appointing FeralX Systems Inc. as a non-exclusive Canadian contract manufacturer for several of its platforms.

“Canada has the engineering talent to build these systems at home, and recent years have shown how much depends on having that capacity domestically,” said Yazan Al Homsi. “What stood out to me about Arcanus was the manufacturing groundwork already in place: licensing, a production partner, and a range of aircraft that serves wildfire crews and search-and-rescue teams alongside defence customers.”
