SHANGHAI, Jan. 24, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Shanghai Electric (SEHK:2727, SSE:601727) recently received multiple certifications for projects in photovoltaics, sustainable thermal power, safety, and environmental protection, recognizing its energy technology capabilities in Dubai, Oman, Bangladesh, and Malaysia. The Company also led community-building initiatives in Pakistan.

Regarding safety, Shanghai Electric received a certificate of appreciation for exemplary HSE performance at Noor Energy 1 Solar Project, a 950MW hybrid CSP and PV solar power station in Dubai‘s Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. The team achieved 15 million safe human hours by identifying safety risks, planning major operations meticulously, and implementing robust risk control measures. Strict safety protocols for subcontractors ensured comprehensive oversight. The department pledged ongoing vigilance and system optimization to support the project’s stable operation and long-term sustainability. With insights from 32,500 travellers across 35 markets globally, including 1,000 from Australia, this year’s research highlights a generational paradox.

While 83% of Australian travellers say that more sustainable travel is important to them, older generations demonstrate greater commitment through concrete actions, despite younger generations often expressing stronger sustainability intentions.
