American Sikh Organizations: President Trump, Stop Modi’s “Invisible Invasion”

WASHINGTON, Feb. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The American Sikh Caucus Committee, the American Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (AGPC) and the Sikh Coordination Committee East Coast (SCCEC), today issued an urgent appeal to President Donald Trump to stop foreign governments that intimidate and try to kill Americans on American soil, particularly Sikh Americans under threats from India.

“We are tax-paying Americans who want all Americans safe on American soil. No foreign government should be allowed to invisibly invade our country and intimidate our citizens,” said Pritpal Singh, Founder of the American Sikh Caucus Committee. “We bleed red and back the blue, but right now, our community is being targeted. We need action.”

As President Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi meet this week for the first time in this administration, Sikh organizations call for the President to hold Modi accountable for targeting Sikh Americans. “The message is clear,” said Himmat Singh of the SCCEC. “India needs to stop threatening Americans, whether directly, like in the Modi gang’s foiled Nikhil Gupta plot, or indirectly with rhetoric from non-governmental organizations allied with the Indian Government.”

Gupta is in a New York jail on charges of trying to hire an undercover U.S. federal to kill Sikh American leaders. The case implicates Indian officials around Prime Minister Modi. Currently, Indian media is bombarding readers with lies about Sikhs in America, claiming they are being rounded up by the U.S. immigration service and reinforcing lies about Sikhs being terrorists, a tool of regimes who want to belittle diaspora expat groups.

The Sikh American community also asks President Trump to ensure the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) safeguard this community and its leaders from foreign threats. The invisible invasion of foreign agents into the U.S. is a growing national security crisis, testing American sovereignty and threatening the public at large.

As President Trump revamps the National Security Council, the Sikh American community asks him to appoint a liaison to coordinate the U.S. Government fight against foreign government threats and protect Americans on American soil, not only Sikh Americans but others facing similar threats.

The American Sikh Caucus Committee, American Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and the Sikh Coordination Committee East Coast will also work closely with Congress to push for stronger safeguards against foreign influence and targeted violence. Sikh Americans, like all Americans, deserve to live without fear of harassment or violence from foreign governments operating on U.S. soil.

The updated aPower builds on the company’s established platform, increasing usable capacity from 13.6 kWh to 15 kWh and raising warrantied throughput from 43 MWh to 60 MWh, an increase of 40 percent. The increase in usable capacity also improves energy density, lowering the effective cost per kilowatt-hour and supporting more efficient use of stored energy.

The 15 kWh configuration also aligns with current and upcoming policy frameworks benefitting residential battery adoption. This includes the updated Cheaper Home Batteries Program, with changes coming into effect for Australian homeowners from 1 May, 2026, helping households maximise value as incentives continue to evolve.
