AI-Driven, Tactical eVTOL sUAS Defines New Standard in ISR Operations for Maneuver Forces

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., March 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Quantum Systems, a leader in electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aerial intelligence solutions, today unveiled Vector™  AI—the next-generation, AI-powered, extended-endurance tactical sUAS—at AUSA Global Force Symposium & Exposition 2025.

Designed for frontline forces operating in dynamic and contested environments, Vector AI supports advanced intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities with autonomous mission execution, superior electronic warfare (EW) resilience, and real-time AI-driven situational awareness. These capabilities ensure warfighters maintain a decisive intelligence advantage in high-tempo operations.

“Vector has already proven itself in global military operations, and this latest iteration builds upon those battlefield insights to deliver the most capable mid-range eVTOL sUAS available today,” said Dave Sharpin, CEO of Quantum-Systems Inc. “With extended endurance, AI-driven mission autonomy, and modular, MOSA-compliant design, Vector AI provides unmatched flexibility and adaptability for modern military forces operating in dynamic and contested environments.”

“This platform is designed to meet the evolving needs of allied forces, delivering advanced ISR capabilities in the most challenging battlespaces. Its interoperability and seamless battlefield integration provide a decisive advantage to forward-deployed military units and operational superiority during complex missions,” said Sven Kruck, Co-CEO at Quantum-Systems GmbH.

Vector AI: Built for the Fight

Designed for maneuver forces conducting reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition (RSTA) missions, Vector AI introduces significant advancements over previous generation sUAS:

Hardened Against GPS and Communications Denial – Visual Inertial Odometry (VIO) and Silvus Technologies’ Spectrum Dominance capabilities equips users with resilient navigation and command and control in contested environments, strengthening operational resilience and mission success even in GPS and communications-denied areas.Mission-Adaptable with Modular Payload Integration – MOSA (Modular Open Systems Approach) compatible, the enhanced Ethernet-based, open-architecture payload bay seamlessly integrates third-party ISR, SIGINT, and EW sensors, enabling rapid mission customization and future-ready scalability.Autonomous AI-driven ISR – Dual onboard NVIDIA Jetson Orin processors enable real-time object recognition, automated target tracking, and adaptive mission execution, reducing operator workload and increasing mission effectiveness.Seamless Multi-Domain Interoperability – Vector AI is fully compatible with ATAK (Android Tactical Assault Kit), Cursor-on-Target (CoT), and leading battlefield management systems (BMS), ensuring real-time situational awareness and coordinated targeting across joint and coalition forces.Extended Endurance for Greater Time on Station – A redesigned eVTOL power system and advanced energy management enable over three hours of continuous flight, providing longer ISR coverage with fewer system swaps, keeping operators focused on the mission.

Built for rapid deployment and sustained operations in austere environments, Vector AI delivers AI-powered ISR at the tactical edge. Its compact, lightweight airframe facilitates ease of transport and deployment, while its enhanced autonomy enables warfighters to focus on the mission—not the system.

AUSA Global Force Debut & Demonstration

Vector AI will be showcased at Quantum Systems’ booth #735 at AUSA Global Force Symposium & Exposition 2025, where attendees can explore how Vector AI and Quantum Systems’ interoperable Family of Systems are redefining tactical ISR for the modern warfighter.

Fathom Applauds Introduction of the FRONTIER Act, the First Federal Blueprint for Independent AI Verification

Published

Reps. Lori Trahan (D-MA-03) and Jay Obernolte (R-CA-23) introduce a bill to build a competitive marketplace of independent verifiers for frontier AI models.

WASHINGTON, July 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Fathom welcomes the introduction of the FRONTIER Act, the most complete federal framework yet for independent, third-party verification of frontier AI. The legislation is built to earn public trust as AI technology continues to accelerate. As frontier systems begin to take autonomous action in the world, the gap between what these models can do and our ability to keep them in check is widening. FRONTIER is the starting point to close that gap.

“AI governance keeps running into the same wall. The technology is hard to measure and it moves faster than any law can keep up with,” said Andrew Freedman, Co-Founder and CEO of Fathom. “Trying to write the perfect rules and freezing them in place won’t work. What will work is a competitive market of independent verifiers who are accountable for real-world outcomes and who the government can actually count on. The FRONTIER Act shows we can move fast and still get this right.”

The bill gets the fundamentals correct. It sets one public standard – the adequate mitigation of catastrophic risk – and holds both the AI companies and their independent verifiers accountable to it. FRONTIER does not freeze a single testing method into statute. Instead, it licenses competing verification organizations, allows them to sharpen their methods, and gives the government the power to revoke a license when a verifier’s work does not hold up in the field. That is how you build a system that keeps pace with the science instead of falling behind it.

Fathom thanks Reps. Trahan and Obernolte for their leadership, and for their courage in releasing a discussion draft, inviting scrutiny, and incorporating substantive improvements from across the field. One priority improvement as the bill advances: giving the government a fuller range of tools to act upstream – for pushing companies to close identified gaps in risk mitigation early, rather than only once a catastrophe is imminent. We are committed to working with these sponsors, committees of jurisdiction, and Congressional leadership to continue refining the bill in the weeks and months ahead.
