Confidencial.io Plans to Unveil Early Preview of Unified AI Data Governance Solution to Protect Sensitive Information and Accelerate AI Readiness at RSAC

Published

MENLO PARK, Calif., April 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Confidencial.io, a data protection and compliance leader born from DARPA-funded research at SRI, is set to debut its AI data governance solution at this year’s RSAC, engineered to prevent data leaks and fuel secure, compliant innovation. Purpose-built for enterprise-scale AI, Confidencial serves as a governance layer seamlessly embedded within AI frameworks, covering AI workflows, Agentic AI systems, training workflows, and operations to ensure only authorized data flows through.

AI thrives on unstructured data—documents, transcripts, slides, and images—but without the right safeguards, an organization’s most valuable assets remain wide open. RSAC findings reveal the urgency: 61% of CISOs cite IP leakage as their top concern, with customer data exposure close behind at 59%. In response, AI and GRC leaders are deploying siloed protection and governance tools, each with its own access controls, resulting in a fractured patchwork where unstructured data slips through the cracks, exposed, vulnerable, and at risk.

“We’re addressing the unsustainable model of fragmented systems that can’t talk to each other,” said Karim Eldefrawy, Co-Founder and CTO at Confidencial.  “One of the biggest barriers to deploying AI in the enterprise is ensuring consistent data protection, governance, and control across the entire AI pipeline, regardless of where or how that information is accessed.”

Confidencial unifies governance and privacy controls by embedding a resilient, cryptographic layer directly into AI pipelines and document stores, ensuring seamless protection. It automatically identifies and secures sensitive unstructured data, preserving context while enabling AI to still extract valuable insights. By applying data-centric Zero Trust at the object level, Confidencial secures only the most critical data, reducing computing costs and streamlining compliance with NIST and ISO AI and Cybersecurity Frameworks.

“Unstructured data is the fuel powering modern AI, and adoption is picking up serious momentum, especially with the rise of tools like Microsoft Markitdown and IBM Docling that convert files into text for LLMs and text analysis pipelines,” said Eldefrawy. “Confidencial is the only solution that can find and cryptographically protect sensitive information within these converted files, at a granular level, before they enter AI workflows and systems. This provably ensures enterprise-grade cryptographic security and compliance while enabling organizations to safely and cost-effectively unlock more of their data for AI training and innovation.”

Fresh off the launch of the Cloud Protector, their next-gen DSPM solution for cyber defense, Confidencial now delivers a unified approach that secures sensitive data across both traditional and AI-driven environments. Visit Booth 5787 at RSAC to see firsthand how AI data governance meets cyber resilience.

Knowledge Grid Study Shows the Same AI Model Goes From Wrong to Right When Data Becomes Knowledge

Published

Findings point to a missing layer in the agentic AI stack: durable knowledge of the environment, built once and kept for every model and agent to use.

SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Knowledge Grid, the company defining the Cognitive Data Layer for AI, today announced a study showing an AI model’s verdict can flip from wrong to right without changing the model.

Enterprises are handing AI agents decisions people once made. Most reason over data with no memory of what is normal, so the agent or model fills the gap with confident but unverified assumptions.

In one example, the study gave the same AI models the same incident and data twice: through a conventional cyber analysis pipeline (SIEM stack) and through the Knowledge Grid Cognitive Data Platform, which contains knowledge of each user’s normal behavior.

On the conventional pipeline, the models misinterpreted a user’s routine work as suspicious; and another model confidently called it potential insider threat activity. In the Knowledge Grid stack, the same models correctly interpreted the user behavior and did not flag it as suspicious. Results held for both frontier and smaller open-weight models.

This knowledge is too valuable to rebuild for every investigation or question. Agents rebuilding it from raw data start from zero. Using Knowledge Grid’s Durable Knowledge Layer, it keeps that knowledge current, so every model and agent starts from what is already known.

“The most dangerous AI answer is the one that sounds right, but isn’t,” said Peter Bybee, founder and CEO of Knowledge Grid. “The same model got the same incident wrong, then right. The difference was the knowledge underneath it, and that knowledge should outlast any one question.”

Knowledge Grid is sharing the methodology and results with analysts and customers and will demonstrate it at VentureBeat’s Agentic Infrastructure Stack Summit on Oct. 28.

About Knowledge Grid

Knowledge Grid builds the Cognitive Data Layer: knowledge infrastructure that turns high-volume temporal data into Persistent Environmental Knowledge that AI, analytics and automation can reason over without reconstructing the environment each time. The KG Cognitive Data Platform is built on Rough Set mathematics developed by the company’s research team in Warsaw, Poland, and is protected by seven issued U.S. patents, with two pending. Knowledge Grid is headquartered in Salt Lake City. Learn more at knowledgegrid.com.
