Official launch at the AVPN Global Conference 2026 in India to position ASEAN as a leading voice in corporate social investment; ASEAN leadership dialogue planned for the ASEAN Business & Investment Summit (ABIS)

SINGAPORE, May 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) and AVPN today announced the establishment of the ASEAN CSR Working Group, a regional platform aimed at mobilising corporate philanthropy, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and broader corporate capital, while supporting regional policy dialogue, ecosystem collaboration, and knowledge exchange across ASEAN. This initiative positions the private sector as a key partner in advancing sustainable and inclusive economic transformation in the region. AVPN, Asia’s largest network of social investors, will serve as Secretariat, convening corporate leaders, philanthropic organisations, investors, and ecosystem partners across the region.

Southeast Asia is entering a critical decade for sustainable economic transformation. The region is home to more than 70 million micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), accounting for over 97% of all businesses. Yet, many face structural barriers to scaling, including limited access to mentorship, markets, and capital. Current approaches to CSR and corporate social investment remain fragmented across ASEAN markets, with inconsistent definitions, implementation, and limited coordination across corporates, funders, and ecosystem actors. At the same time, demand for private capital to address regional priorities such as climate transition, health resilience, and inclusive economic growth is rising. This underscores the need for more coordinated and catalytic deployment of capital.

The ASEAN CSR Working Group is designed to address these gaps, marking a significant milestone in strengthening regional collaboration and multi-stakeholder engagement. It reflects a broader ambition to strengthen ASEAN’s regional ecosystem architecture for corporate sustainability, social investment, and cross-sector collaboration. At the same time, it serves as a trusted platform for regional policy dialogue, strategic collaboration, knowledge exchange, and more coordinated deployment of capital among business leaders, philanthropic organisations, policymakers, investors, and ecosystem partners. It also reinforces the private sector’s role in supporting ASEAN’s sustainable development priorities.

By connecting ASEAN-BAC’s institutional influence with AVPN’s regional investment network – spanning corporates, foundations, impact funds, family offices, and development partners across more than 40 markets – the ASEAN CSR Working Group aims to mobilise corporate partnerships and philanthropic resources, enabling catalytic partnerships and cross-border ecosystem collaboration across ASEAN. It will also strengthen and serve as the strategic engine to ensure that ASEAN-BAC’s legacy projects have the long-term capital and policy support they need.

“This collaboration reflects a critical shift from fragmented efforts to a more coordinated, regional approach to corporate social investment. By linking ASEAN’s institutional leadership with AVPN’s ecosystem of capital providers, we can help unlock catalytic capital at scale and position Southeast Asia as a leading hub for corporate-driven impact. ASEAN is one of the fastest-growing markets globally, and its corporate leaders have a real opportunity to shape the future of sustainability and philanthropy through collective regional action,” said Achal Agarwal, Chair at AVPN.

“As Secretariat to the ASEAN CSR Working Group, AVPN brings the strength of our regional network to connect corporate leaders, investors and philanthropies, and advance regional dialogue, collaboration, and shared learning across ASEAN,” added Naina Subberwal Batra, CEO of AVPN. “We are seeing growing momentum among corporates to move beyond traditional CSR towards more intentional and impact-driven social investment. Together with ASEAN-BAC, we aim to build long-term regional collaboration and enable more strategic deployment of capital to support the region’s sustainable and inclusive growth.”

“By establishing this Working Group, ASEAN-BAC is strengthening regional collaboration through more connected ecosystem engagement and multi-stakeholder dialogue. We are creating a regional platform to ensure that corporate capital isn’t just deployed, but is supportive of ASEAN’s broader sustainable development priorities and regional collaboration efforts. We are not just launching a group; we are encouraging stronger regional collaboration and more strategic approaches to corporate social investment across ASEAN,” said Rifki Weno, Executive Director of ASEAN-BAC. “Through the ASEAN CSR Working Group, we aim to better align private sector action with regional priorities, while strengthening partnerships and unlocking capital flows to accelerate inclusive and sustainable growth across Southeast Asia.”

The Working Group builds on early corporate engagement efforts led by AVPN across key ASEAN markets, including Singapore and Vietnam, which surfaced a clear need for greater regional collaboration, shared learning, and more strategic approaches to scaling corporate social investment. These engagements highlighted a growing shift from fragmented, programme-based giving towards more integrated and strategic deployment of corporate capital. Further engagements will be convened across ASEAN markets through both in-person and virtual formats.

Beyond convening, AVPN will lead knowledge and capacity-building initiatives, ecosystem engagement, and the development of corporate excellence frameworks to recognise leadership in social innovation.

The ASEAN CSR Working Group will convene high-level dialogues at two key milestones in 2026:

The official launch at the AVPN Global Conference 2026 in India this 25 to 27 August, positioning ASEAN as a leading voice in advancing corporate social investment and catalytic capital on the global stage; andAn ASEAN CSR Leadership Dialogue at the AVPN Southeast Asia Summit 2026, convened as a side event ahead of the ASEAN Business & Investment Summit (ABIS) in November 2026, focused on strengthening regional dialogue, ecosystem collaboration, and partnership opportunities across sectors.

The establishment of the ASEAN CSR Working Group underscores ASEAN-BAC and AVPN’s shared vision to strengthen regional collaboration, ecosystem engagement, and cross-sector partnerships across Southeast Asia. Through more strategic social investment and coordinated regional action, the Working Group aims to shape the next decade of inclusive growth, one that benefits both people and the environment.

In HelloNation, Expert Contractor Crystal Hincherick Highlights Questions to Ask Before Starting a Home Addition Project

The article outlines how planning around budget, timeline, and design ensures a successful home addition.

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y., Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — What questions should homeowners ask before starting a home addition project?

HelloNation has published an article that provides the answer, featuring insights from Crystal Hincherick of Nathaniel’s Construction.

The HelloNation article explains that careful planning is essential for any home addition project. Homeowners should begin by understanding how their goals, budget, and timeline align with the scope of work. Asking the right questions early helps homeowners avoid delays and ensures the finished addition meets both functional and aesthetic expectations.

Budget is one of the most important factors to address. The article highlights that homeowners should ask about total costs, including labor, materials, and permits. Understanding the full budget helps homeowners prepare for unexpected expenses and maintain financial control throughout the home addition project. Clear discussions about budget also help set realistic expectations from the start.

Timeline is another key consideration. The article explains that homeowners should ask how long each phase of the home addition project will take, from design to construction. A well-defined timeline helps homeowners plan for disruptions and anticipate potential delays. Establishing a clear timeline ensures the project progresses smoothly and stays on track.

Design integration is also critical. The article notes that homeowners should ask how the addition will connect with the existing structure. This includes structural considerations as well as visual consistency. Ensuring the home addition project blends seamlessly with the current home helps achieve a cohesive final result.

Materials selection is another important topic. The article emphasizes that homeowners should ask about the durability, cost, and maintenance of materials used in the project. Choosing the right materials impacts both the long-term value and performance of the addition. Understanding materials options helps homeowners make informed decisions that align with their budget and design goals.

Permits are an essential part of the process. The article explains that homeowners must confirm which permits are required and how they will be obtained. Securing the proper permits ensures the home addition project complies with local regulations and avoids costly delays. Discussing permits early helps streamline approvals and inspections.

Contractor experience and communication are also important. The article highlights that homeowners should ask about past projects, references, and how communication will be handled. Strong communication helps homeowners stay informed about the timeline, budget, and progress of the home addition project.

Potential challenges should also be discussed. The article notes that asking about how unexpected issues are handled helps homeowners understand the contractor’s approach to problem-solving. Being prepared for challenges ensures the project can adapt without compromising quality or timeline.

The article concludes that asking the right questions about budget, timeline, materials, and permits helps homeowners plan a successful home addition project. With proper preparation, homeowners can ensure their project runs smoothly and delivers lasting value.

Sky Elements Sets GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS for Most Drones Flown in One Week and Flies the Largest Drone Show in America

More than 71,000 drone flights over three nights in North Texas, capped by an 11,000-drone show, bring the nation’s largest show title home to Sky Elements

DALLAS, Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Sky Elements, the leading drone show company in the United States, set two GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS titles during seven large-scale drone shows over three consecutive nights in Blue Ridge, Texas. Together with Damoda America, the company launched 71,207 drones in one week, the most ever recorded, including an 11,000-drone performance, the largest drone show ever flown in America.

The team also set the record for the largest aerial display of a mythical creature, flying 10,183 drones to shatter the previous mark of 2,247. The titles are Sky Elements’ 18th and 19th world records.

“Sky Elements already performs on the world stage, from Formula 1 in Monaco to our September 11th Memorial in New York City,” said Rick Boss, CEO of Sky Elements. “Until now, shows of this size have happened in Asia and the Middle East. This week, we proved an American team can fly them here at home, and we did it night after night.”

From Sunday, Sept. 27, through Tuesday, Sept. 29, Sky Elements flew six 10,000-drone shows and one 11,000-drone show, surpassing the previous record of 55,939 drones flown in one week. Crews recharged and relaunched the fleet between flights, and an official Guinness World Records adjudicator verified each one.

Sky Elements pilots, engineers, and designers worked onsite with Damoda America to create original formations for every show, filling the Texas sky with a soaring eagle, a lion, turning gears, a dragon, Pegasus, Americana imagery, and scenes from deep space. Recreations of Noah’s Ark and a black hole, followed by a UFO sequence, closed out the attempt.

“Flying more than 10,000 drones at a time repeatedly, night after night, takes an extraordinary team, and Damoda America was a true partner at every step,” said Boss. “We thank them for their commitment to this effort and for helping us bring a show of this scale to American skies.”

The record-week performance positions Sky Elements to deliver shows featuring 10,000 drones or more for sports leagues, municipalities, brands, and major events nationwide.

In HelloNation, Personal Injury Attorney Steve Caya Highlights What Evidence Matters in a Truck Accident Case

The article explains how driver logs, black box data, and federal trucking regulations affect liability and compensation.

JANESVILLE, Wis., Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — What evidence matters most in a truck accident case in Janesville?

HelloNation has published the answer in an article featuring insights from Attorney Steve Caya of Nowlan Injury Law.

The HelloNation article explains that a truck accident often involves more complex evidence than a typical car crash. Commercial vehicles are governed by federal trucking regulations, and proving liability may require reviewing multiple sources of documentation. In Janesville, early preservation of evidence is essential because key records can be lost or altered over time.

Driver logs are identified as one of the most important pieces of evidence in a truck accident case. These logs document hours of service, rest breaks, and routes taken before the collision. Violations of federal trucking regulations reflected in driver logs may indicate fatigue or negligence, which can directly affect compensation.

Maintenance records also play a significant role in determining responsibility. The article explains that maintenance records reveal whether inspections and repairs were completed as required. If maintenance records show delayed service or ignored mechanical issues, they may demonstrate that a truck accident resulted from preventable equipment failure.

Black box data provides another critical source of information. Also known as event data recorder information, black box data can reveal speed, braking activity, and other vehicle actions just before impact. In Janesville truck accident investigations, black box data often helps reconstruct the sequence of events and clarify disputed facts.

Company safety policies are equally relevant. The article notes that reviewing company safety policies can show whether proper training, supervision, and inspection procedures were followed. When company safety policies are poorly enforced or ignored, liability may extend beyond the driver to the trucking company itself.

Federal trucking regulations guide how these elements are evaluated. The article explains that violations related to hours of service, load limits, or vehicle maintenance can support claims of negligence. Understanding how federal trucking regulations apply to a specific truck accident helps shape the investigation and supports a claim for compensation.

Witness statements and photographs further strengthen the case. Images of skid marks, road conditions, and vehicle damage provide context that supports driver logs and maintenance records. In Janesville, combining physical evidence with black box data creates a more complete understanding of how the truck accident occurred.

Insurance companies often request information soon after a crash. The article advises caution when providing statements, especially before reviewing driver logs, maintenance records, and black box data. Organized documentation allows claimants to present clear evidence and pursue appropriate compensation.

The article also emphasizes the importance of acting quickly. Because federal trucking regulations require certain records to be maintained for limited periods, delays can jeopardize access to driver logs and maintenance records. Prompt action helps ensure that black box data and company safety policies are preserved for review.

In serious truck accident cases, multiple parties may share responsibility. The article explains that examining company safety policies alongside federal trucking regulations can reveal systemic issues that contributed to the crash. This broader investigation may increase the likelihood of recovering full compensation for injuries and property damage.

The article concludes that building a strong truck accident case in Janesville requires careful collection and preservation of evidence. Driver logs, maintenance records, black box data, and company safety policies all contribute to establishing liability. When supported by witness statements and guided by federal trucking regulations, this evidence strengthens claims and improves the ability to secure fair compensation.
