Inside the $5.4 Billion Georgia-Israel Economic Corridor: 5W Releases Israeli Tech in Georgia 2026 — 30 Years, 50+ Companies, and a New Generation of Builders

Published

on

Atlanta has been a top-five U.S. center for Israeli company activity for nearly two decades — anchored by Coca-Cola, Southern Company, Delta, Robins Air Force Base, and now the newly launched Georgia Israel Business Alliance

NEW YORK, June 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — 5W, the AI Communications Firm, today released Israeli Tech in Georgia 2026, a research report documenting one of the most institutionally developed state-Israel economic relationships in the United States. While most state-Israel economic stories begin in the last five years, the Georgia-Israel story begins in 1992 — and the cumulative numbers, now thirty years on, are larger than nearly any peer state outside California, New York, and Florida.

The headline numbers

$5.4 billion — Cumulative Georgia exports to Israel since 1996, per the Georgia Department of Economic Development. 50+ Israeli-affiliated companies operating in Georgia. $374 million — Georgia exports to Israel in 2024 (manufacturing goods). #10 — Georgia’s rank among U.S. states in exports to Israel. $615+ million — U.S. Foreign Military Financing to Georgia firms for Israeli Defense Forces contracts since 1996. 33 years — Conexx business alliance operating history (1992-2025). $1+ billion — Completed transactions Conexx was involved in over its lifetime. 2025 — Year the Georgia Israel Business Alliance (GIBA) launched, incubated by the Zalik Foundation.

Three layers of the relationship

The report identifies three layers of the Georgia-Israel economic relationship:

A defense and intelligence corridor anchored by Robins Air Force Base and a generation of Atlanta-based contractors including GE Intelligence Platforms, Northrop Grumman Support Services, and HP.A corporate gateway built around Coca-Cola (whose Tel Aviv-based Bridge accelerator is one of the most consistent Israeli-tech-into-Atlanta channels), Southern Company (whose 2018 R&D MoU with the Israel Innovation Authority covers vehicle automation, advanced materials, sustainable energy, public safety, smart homes, and distributed energy), and Delta. An institutional infrastructure that compounded across thirty years: the Georgia Department of Economic Development’s Israel office (opened 1994 — predating most peer states by a decade), the Consulate General of Israel to the Southeast in Atlanta, and the Conexx alliance’s three-decade run.

From Ronn Torossian, founder and chairman of 5W:

“Most economic-development reports celebrate inflows. This one celebrates compounding. Georgia and Israel have been building together since 1992 — through three administrations, three Israeli governments, and every economic cycle the period covered. The institutional infrastructure they created is what makes the relationship durable. The launch of the Georgia Israel Business Alliance in 2025 is the next thirty years opening. Compounding is the most underrated force in economic development. Atlanta and Tel Aviv have been compounding for a generation.”

The anchor companies

The report profiles the relationship’s flagship anchors, including Itamar Medical (the Israeli medical device company that relocated its U.S. headquarters from Boston to Atlanta in 2016 — a notable choice given Boston’s life-sciences dominance), Southern Company’s R&D partnership with the Israel Innovation Authority, and Coca-Cola’s Bridge accelerator network.

The next generation: GIBA

The 2025 launch of the Georgia Israel Business Alliance, incubated by Atlanta’s Zalik Foundation, is positioned in the report as the institutional handoff: from Conexx’s 33-year run to a next-generation Atlanta-Israel platform that builds on three decades of trade missions, MoUs, and consulate-led activity.

PwC US and PwC India Form Joint Venture to Help Clients Grow and Compete at Greater Speed and Scale

Strategic combination brings together the breadth of PwC’s advisory talent and capabilities across India and the US into a single, integrated platform for global clients

NEW YORK, Sept. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — PwC US and PwC India today announced a joint venture that brings together the full breadth of their advisory talent and capabilities across India and the US — uniting PwC India’s Consulting business and PwC US Advisory’s India-based capabilities into a single, integrated platform to serve clients in India, the US, and around the world.

India is increasingly central to how global companies grow and operate — as a significant and fast-growing market, a hub for Global Capability Centers, and a source of world-class talent and innovation. At the same time, clients are looking for deeper expertise, greater scale, and more seamless access to capabilities across markets. Rather than adding capacity in one place, the joint venture connects market relationships, industry expertise, and delivery into one team — so clients can access the right capabilities, wherever they sit.

“The firms that win will be the ones that stop thinking about markets, capabilities, and delivery as separate pieces. That’s what makes this combination so powerful,” said Paul Griggs, PwC US Senior Partner and CEO. “We’re bringing the full breadth of our advisory talent in India together with PwC US — one team with the relationships, expertise, and scale to deliver for our clients and the PwC network. This isn’t about where work gets done. It’s about building something clients can’t get anywhere else: the best of PwC, brought together around their biggest opportunities, wherever they operate.”

The combined platform spans the full spectrum of client needs — from strategy and transformation through technology, engineering, and AI. It brings together managed services at greater scale, expanding PwC’s ability to advise clients and to operate critical parts of their businesses. The platform is expected to more seamlessly support US-headquartered enterprises with Global Capability Centers in India, strengthen how PwC serves clients across major global trade flows, and create a stronger foundation for innovation as AI continues to reshape how work is delivered.

The joint venture also advances PwC’s broader ambition to build a more globally integrated consulting model, giving PwC firms around the world greater access to the combined talent and expertise of the new platform.

“Throughout our more than 150 years’ history in the country, we have been committed to the growth of India. Our Vision 2030 aligns our commitment to building a Viksit Bharat, and this joint venture is a step in that direction. For PwC India, this is a testimony to the tremendous journey of growth that we have been on over the last five years and our position of strength in the network. It is a matter of great pride for us that PwC India now has an opportunity to play a greater role in the success of our Global Network,” said Sanjeev Krishan, Chairperson of PwC India and the incoming CEO of the new joint venture. “This brings together strengths that used to sit in different places, allowing us to better serve clients across the world by combining the might of PwC’s global consulting capabilities with the best talent from India. It means our domestic clients gain access to best-in-class global capabilities, our multinational and GCC clients are served more seamlessly, and the capability and client perimeter for our partners and people go up, so they can take on a greater ambition than what we envisioned in Vision 2030. It also enables us to make greater investments in our people and in the value we can create for clients — in India and everywhere in the world they operate.”

The signing marks an important milestone and the beginning of the next phase. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of calendar year 2027, subject to closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Until then, PwC US and PwC India will continue to serve clients through their existing structures and ways of working. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The joint venture will be owned and governed by PwC US and PwC India.

SEOUL, South Korea, Sept. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Hyundai Motor Group (the Group) announced that it has put its Data Flywheel into full operation, marking a new phase in its autonomous driving technology strategy. The system creates a virtuous cycle of data collection, AI training, validation and deployment to secure a competitive advantage through accelerated learning and technology development.

During the Group’s “HMG Autonomous Driving Media Day” at 42dot headquarters in Gyeonggi Province, Korea, the Group presented its autonomous driving development strategy, technology roadmap, key achievements and implementation plans. The presentation underscored the Group’s strategic positioning in the global autonomous driving technology competition and detailed how integrated data and AI systems form the foundation for next-generation vehicle technology.

At the event, the Group identified the Data Flywheel as a key element of its autonomous driving competitiveness and shared the operational framework and execution strategy that transforms large-scale real-world driving data into continuous technology improvements.

42dot also introduced key technologies and the development progress for the Group’s proprietary autonomous driving artificial intelligence, Atria AI, while outlining the background and future plans for its Vision-Language-Action (VLA) technology development initiative.

In line with the event, the Group unveiled footage of an Atria AI-equipped SDV Testbed navigating complex urban traffic without driver intervention. The footage is available on the Group’s official YouTube channel.

“Autonomous driving competition is no longer about comparing specific features. Competitiveness is determined by how much data you secure, how quickly you learn and how effectively you can reflect those results in actual products and services. At its core, autonomous driving competitiveness comes down to having systems that enable continuous, rapid learning. Hyundai Motor Group will develop autonomous driving technology that customers can trust, based on a virtuous cycle of data, AI and validation. Our goal is to ensure the safety and quality levels customers can trust while we learn and improve rapidly.” – Minwoo Park, President and Head of Advanced Vehicle Platform (AVP) Division at Hyundai Motor Group and CEO of 42dot
