Innovative Eyewear, Inc. Announces New Claude AI Integration for All Lucyd Smart Eyewear

Published

on

MIAMI, July 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Innovative Eyewear, Inc. (“Innovative Eyewear” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: LUCY; LUCYW), the developer & manufacturer of smart eyewear under the Lucyd®, Lucyd Armor®, Reebok®, Eddie Bauer®, and Nautica® brands, is pleased to announce that it has developed a new Claude AI integration for its smart eyewear products, launching next week for all models of Lucyd glasses.

The new integration provides fast, free access to the powerful Claude AI from Lucyd smart glasses via the Lucyd app. In the first version launching next week, the user activates the functionality by opening the Lucyd app, then chooses their preferred Claude model, and converses with it using the audio interface on Lucyd glasses.

Some key features of the update:

Multiple AI models in one place — chat with the best of OpenAI (ChatGPT) and Claude from a single screen.

Switch models mid-conversation — move from ChatGPT to Claude without losing context; the conversation continues seamlessly.

Understands your images and documents — upload a photo or a PDF and ask anything; the AI analyzes the content and responds.

AI image generation — create images from a simple prompt and save them straight to your photo library with a single tap.

Incognito Mode — private, ephemeral conversations that are never saved; when you leave, they’re automatically wiped from the server.

Conversation history — pick up any past chat right where you left off, organized by date.

Rich content rendering — displays code with syntax highlighting, math formulas, tables, and formatted text, all natively.

Answers with sources — when the AI pulls from the web, it shows its sources so you can verify the information.

Real-time streaming responses — text appears word by word as the AI responds, for a fluid, immediate experience.

In a future update, anticipated to launch in late Q3 2026, users will be able to query Claude with the phone locked and in their pocket. This is similar to the Company’s groundbreaking hands-free ChatGPT integration, which was the first hands-free voice interface for the world’s largest LLM.

Harrison Gross, CEO of Innovative Eyewear said, “This is an important step forward in our mission to make the most flexible and powerful AI glasses on the market. We have a pending patent on multi-AI access glasses, and we are bringing this incredible functionality to all our customers at no additional cost. We envision that in the future, the Lucyd user can access several of the world’s most powerful AI models with a simple voice command, through its designer, lightweight, smart eyewear. We believe that this is the most practical way to expand human abilities through wearables. We look forward to continuing to Upgrade Your Eyewear® with useful smart features that make you more aware, knowledgeable, and more easily connected to the people and systems you care about.”

Viettel Group and Vietnam’s Government Cipher Committee Unveil Security Chip Embedding Vietnamese Cryptography in Silicon

Published

on

By

HANOI, Vietnam, Nov. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Vietnam’s Government Cipher Committee and Viettel Group have unveiled VGC v1.0, a security chip integrating a domestically developed cryptographic algorithm directly into silicon, alongside the country’s first domestically designed secure semiconductor platform.

The project addresses concerns over potential data exposure associated with reliance on imported chips. By embedding cryptographic functions directly into hardware, Vietnam’s Government Cipher Committee and Viettel Group aim to strengthen Vietnam’s control over the design and verification of technologies used to protect sensitive information.

VGC v1.0 contains 300 million transistors in a 10 × 10 mm package and is fabricated using a 28-nanometre CMOS process. In performance tests, it performed encryption and decryption approximately 15 times faster than a software-only solution carrying out the same tasks. The first batch passed technical tests and received certification for socio-economic applications in the first quarter of 2026. Technical safeguards were also applied to protect the design before fabrication, reducing risks of information leakage and reverse engineering.

The Government Cipher Committee’s M2 unit established security requirements, developed the cryptographic algorithm and defined evaluation criteria, while Viettel Semiconductor Center designed and implemented the chip. Based on the open RISC-V instruction set architecture, the underlying platform enables Vietnamese engineers to modify processor designs and reuse established verification processes for future chip generations.

VGC v1.0 has already seen initial deployment in secure USB storage devices for Party, government and defence agencies. Planned applications include supporting Vietnam’s national digital signature certification system, which has more than two million digital certificates in circulation. Other potential uses span financial data protection, connected cameras and sensors, and critical infrastructure systems in electricity, water, oil and gas, and telecommunications. Products intended to protect state secrets would require further testing and certification under applicable standards.

“Researching, designing and developing secure semiconductor chips is a formidable challenge, requiring years of accumulated expertise, technological capabilities and highly skilled talent. Yet we believe that starting later does not mean accepting dependence on others. With the right strategy, focused resources and sustained commitment, we can steadily close the gap and move towards mastering technologies of strategic importance to our country,” said Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang, Chairman and CEO of Viettel Group.

At the launch, the Vietnam’s Government Cipher Committee and Viettel Group signed an agreement covering plans for volume production, multicore security chips, specialist workforce development and testing on real devices. Viettel is also building a semiconductor fabrication plant in Hoa Lac as part of broader efforts to develop domestic capabilities across chip design, manufacturing and packaging.

Beyond the initial chip, the initiative establishes a foundation for future generations of security hardware, supporting Vietnam’s long-term efforts to reduce technological dependence and strengthen control over critical digital technologies.
