LOS ANGELES, July 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Ember LifeSciences, Inc. (“Ember”), an award-winning provider of advanced pharmaceutical cold chain solutions, has entered into a capital and business alliance with Alfresa Corporation (“Alfresa”), a subsidiary of Alfresa Holdings Corporation.

The Alfresa Group has the No. 1 domestic net sales in the pharmaceutical wholesale business in Japan. Alfresa will partner with Ember to improve the quality of pharmaceutical cold chain logistics across Japan, including evaluating the Ember Cube and related technologies for Alfresa’s Home Care Delivery service, which delivers specialty pharmaceuticals directly from medical institutions to patients’ homes.

As part of the new alliance, Alfresa will provide financial support for Ember’s business expansion through an investment in Series A preferred stock issued by Ember, strengthening collaboration between the two companies. Other investors in the Ember Series A include Amgen, Cardinal Health, Carrier and Sea Court Capital. Through the agreement, Alfresa obtains the exclusive sales rights in Japan’s healthcare sector for solutions provided by Ember.

“We are deeply honored to partner with Alfresa, a company whose legacy of excellence and market leadership we hold in the highest regard,” said Clay Alexander, Ember founder and CEO. “As our Ember Cube 2 continues to gain international acclaim for its revolutionary design, this strategic investment and distribution alliance marks a pivotal milestone. Together, Alfresa and Ember share a profound commitment to bringing unprecedented precision, confidence and reliability to pharmaceutical cold chain logistics for patients throughout Japan.”

“The rapid growth of biopharmaceuticals and vaccines — with the number of temperature‑sensitive products increasing each year — demands absolute precision in cold chain logistics,” said Yusuke Fukujin, representative director and president, Alfresa. “Alfresa has been strengthening its capabilities in this space through continuous investment in next generation technologies. I am very excited about this partnership with Ember, which reinforces our commitment to advance cold chain pharmaceutical logistics in the Japanese market.”

Ember provides pharmaceutical manufacturers, distributors and healthcare providers with cold chain solutions that combine temperature control with real-time shipment visibility. The Ember Cube 2, which recently earned the Best of the Best Red Dot Design Award, maintains a temperature range of 2°C to 8°C for more than 72 hours while continuously monitoring shipment conditions and location. Its reusable design also helps reduce packaging waste compared with traditional single-use shipping materials.

Temu Expands Seller Education with Bureau Veritas, QIMA and TÜV SÜD

Published

By

DUBLIN, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Temu is expanding its seller education programs in collaboration with eight global product testing and certification organizations, including Bureau Veritas, QIMA and TÜV SÜD. The courses help sellers on Temu understand the product safety and certification requirements that apply to their products and markets.

The training courses give sellers direct access to independent specialists who explain how regulatory requirements apply to their products. Sellers also have testing and certification support available to them on the platform.

The courses are livestreamed through the Temu Seller Academy. Sessions held in August recorded more than 4,000 views by sellers in total and over 2,000 interactions. For example:

Bureau Veritas provided an overview of European toy safety requirements, including regulatory updates, labeling rules and physical and chemical risks.TÜV SÜD covered testing and certification requirements for children’s toys in Europe and the United States, focusing on risk mitigation through product design and material selection.

The August program also included a session led by SPEAC, an EU-funded product safety project, on the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation and practical requirements for online sellers.

Upcoming sessions will cover electronics, textiles, footwear, cosmetics and food-contact materials.

“Every new market brings fresh obligations, from product safety rules to testing and certification,” said a Temu spokesperson. “By organizing these training sessions with industry leaders, we give sellers direct access to specialists and practical information they can apply to their own operations and products.”

Temu held more than 100 meetings with trade associations, chambers of commerce and start-up networks in Europe in the first half of 2026 to understand the difficulties small businesses face in selling online. The practical demands of selling in multiple markets came up consistently, and that feedback informs Temu’s broader support for sellers.

The seller education programs form part of this support, alongside dedicated onboarding teams that provide continued guidance through Temu’s Local Seller Program. Sellers can also connect their existing business software to Temu through more than 200 ERP integrations and access a network of more than 150 delivery providers across Europe, including DHL Group and La Poste.

Temu is deepening its engagement with Europe’s business communities, and has signed memorandums of understanding with Start:up Slovenia, Portugal’s APDC, Cyprus’s CITEA and Switzerland’s SKV to contribute to knowledge-sharing. Temu has also joined Cross-Border Commerce Europe to participate in EU dialogue on cross-border e-commerce.
