Caresoft Global and Delhi Research Implementation and Innovation (DRIIV) signed a MoU to collaborate for talent development in India by bridging the skill gap.

NEW DELHI, Aug. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Caresoft Global and DRIIV (Delhi Research Implementation and Innovation) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate for talent development in India. The partnership brings global manufacturing and technology intelligence into the Indian engineering, manufacturing, and education sector through a structured industry engagement model. DRIIV operates under the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, and was established on the recommendation of the Prime Minister’s Science, Technology and Innovation Advisory Council (PM-STIAC). Adroit Technologies Innovative Solutions Pvt. Ltd. joins as Implementation Partner.

India is among the world’s fastest-growing manufacturing economies, moving toward higher-value products and globally integrated supply chains. The industry is shifting quickly toward Electric Vehicles, Software Defined Vehicles, and electronics-intensive product architectures. That shift raises a persistent challenge for long-term competitiveness: developing engineers with real exposure to global manufacturing practices and technology knowhow. Indian institutions produce graduates with strong theoretical foundations, but few students have studied how world-class products are designed, benchmarked, engineered, and improved across their lifecycle.

Prof. Ambuj D. Sagar, Acting CEO, DRIIV, noted that the collaboration addresses a national priority. “India’s manufacturing ambitions will increasingly be shaped by the strength of its engineering capabilities. This initiative creates a collaborative framework through which academia and industry can complement engineering education with exposure to contemporary industrial practice.”

“The Caresoft Global Institute gives engineering institutions a structured model for engaging with industry while preserving the strength of their academic programs,” said Krishna Kumar Gaur, Head, Institutional Relations, DRIIV. “Working with universities, faculty and industry, we aim to build institutional capability that prepares students for the changing expectations of manufacturing and engineering employers.”

At the center of the initiative is Iceberg, Caresoft Global’s engineering benchmarking and technology intelligence platform, which shows how leading OEMs and suppliers make decisions on design, performance, manufacturability, quality, and cost. The collaboration will drive talent upskilling in India by deploying Centers of Excellence across the country and by running focused, multidisciplinary development programs in emerging technology sectors. These include Software Defined Vehicles, Electric Vehicles and new energy mobility, high-voltage battery systems, hybrid systems, automotive electronics, semiconductors, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data analytics. Adroit Technologies will manage operations of the Centers of Excellence, including faculty enablement, onboarding and delivery across mechanical, automotive, electrical and electronics, manufacturing, industrial engineering, computer science/IT, and AI disciplines.

For Caresoft Global, the goal is accessibility. “Every product tells an engineering story,” said Prideep Subramaniam, VP, APAC, Caresoft Global. “Through Iceberg, the engineering and manufacturing ecosystem in India will study how products are engineered, benchmarked and improved using real manufacturing intelligence. That includes Electric Vehicles, Software Defined Vehicle architectures, and the Electronics and systems behind them. The result is a deeper understanding of the decisions that shape product quality, manufacturability, performance and competitiveness.”

LONDON, Aug. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — UGREEN has announced the European launch of the Nexode Pro Series, a new premium lineup developed for pro-level charging. The series will be available starting August on Amazon and the UGREEN official site. Combining high-power output with an upgraded smart display, app-based remote management, intelligent power allocation, and an integrated retractable cable, the Nexode Pro Series delivers advanced control for demanding multi-device setups.

Smarter Charging at a Glance

Laptops, smartphones, tablets, earbuds, power banks, and wearable devices have all become part of the modern daily setup. As the number of devices grows, users need more than charging speed alone. ‘clossie’ Launches in Europe: A New AI-Powered Gateway to Seoul’s Premium Independent Fashion Brands

Published

By

LONDON, Aug. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Trenfit, an emerging fashion tech company, has officially launched ‘clossie’, a curated cross-border e-commerce platform designed to give European consumers exclusive access to South Korea’s most distinctive and high-sensibility designer brands.

While Seoul is currently celebrated globally for its avant-garde silhouettes and highly sophisticated aesthetic vision, international shoppers have historically faced barriers—such as language, logistics, and sizing uncertainty—when trying to access these niche brands. ‘clossie’ was created to eliminate these borders.

To ensure a seamless and confident shopping experience for Western consumers, ‘clossie’ deploys Trenfit’s proprietary “market suitability analysis AI solution”. This advanced system meticulously curates fashion items by evaluating specific data points, including a “Style Compatibility Factor” and “Silhouette & Size Fit”. By translating unique design narratives to fit local sartorial preferences and body types, the AI engine removes the traditional risks of cross-border fashion shopping.

The platform’s curation philosophy is grounded in real-world validation. Over the past year, Trenfit hosted three highly acclaimed physical pop-up showcases in London, testing consumer sentiment and building direct relationships with European fashion enthusiasts. By integrating these hands-on retail insights into its AI curation algorithms, ‘clossie’ offers an elevated digital shopping experience that highlights the artistic integrity and story of each participating designer.

Supported by its London-based European logistics and operations hub (CLOSSIE UK LTD), the platform provides fast, reliable, and premium cross-border delivery to major markets including the UK, France, Germany, and the broader European region.

Han Sangyoon, CEO of Trenfit, stated, “Our core philosophy is ‘Beyond trend, Beyond fit’. K-Fashion has evolved far beyond temporary trend cycles; it is now defined by extraordinary craftsmanship and original storytelling. Our mission at ‘clossie’ is to serve as a high-end digital curator, bringing these exceptional Korean designers to the forefront and offering European consumers a direct, effortless connection to Seoul’s most compelling style ecosystems.”

Looking ahead, Trenfit plans to expand ‘clossie’s curated portfolio beyond contemporary fashion into premium K-beauty and lifestyle design. The company is also preparing to launch B2B wholesale distribution channels alongside its core D2C platform, solidifying ‘clossie’ as the definitive global doorway for high-concept Korean culture.

Senken and Carbonsate Sign EU’s Largest Biomass Storage Deal: 50,000 Tonnes of Permanent Carbon Removal

Published

on

By

The multi-year offtake secures permanent carbon removal from Carbonsate’s Puro.earth-verified biomass geological storage project in Namibia through 2028.

BERLIN, Aug. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Senken today announces the largest biomass storage deal signed in Europe to date: a multi-year carbon removal offtake with Berlin-based Carbonsate covering 50,000 tonnes of permanent carbon removal between 2026 and 2028.

About the deal

Deliveries begin this year. The agreement is the second-largest buyer commitment in the biomass geological storage (burial) category worldwide, and the largest for a project operating in Africa. Permanent removal is still scarce: the entire market has delivered around 1.5 million tonnes to date, and this single commitment equals roughly 4% of that.

“Demand for permanent carbon removal is already outrunning supply: corporate net-zero targets all point to the same small pool of verified capacity. That gap will define the market for the next decade. We committed for multiple years to secure access for European buyers to credible removal at prices they can plan with.”
— Adrian Wons, CEO, Senken

“Long-term commitments like this one give project developers the certainty to build ahead of demand. This agreement supports the expansion of our Namibia storage sites and brings meaningful new supply of verified, high-integrity carbon removal to the market.”
— Johanna Broell, Co-founder and CEO, Carbonsate

About the project

Biomass storage, also known as biomass burial, prevents the carbon in waste wood from returning to the atmosphere: sealed in engineered underground chambers, the wood cannot burn or decompose, and the carbon stays locked away for centuries. Because the method needs no energy-intensive capture step, it delivers permanence at a fraction of the price of direct air capture.

About Senken

senken.io Senken is a carbon credit procurement partner providing high-integrity credits and the proof to defend them to auditors, boards and the press. With its Sustainability Integrity Index (SII), Senken vets every credit against 600+ data points, rejects 95% of market projects, and delivers audit-ready documentation. Senken supports large European enterprises, including Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, and DZ Bank.

About Carbonsate

carbonsate.com Carbonsate develops biomass storage projects that deliver permanent carbon removal by storing waste wood in engineered underground storage chambers. Each storage site is supported by a proprietary monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) system and independently verified under the Puro.earth standard.
