$110 million project will deploy PNE’s proprietary direct recycling technology to strengthen domestic production of battery-grade cathode active materials

PRINCETON, N.J., Aug. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Princeton NuEnergy Inc. (PNE), a U.S.-based advanced battery materials company pioneering direct recycling technologies, today announced that it has been selected to enter award negotiations for a $50 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to support the construction of a domestic closed-loop Cathode-to-Cathode® rejuvenation facility in Commerce, Georgia.

The $110 million project, including a $60 million company cost share, will establish a 3,000 tonnes-per-year first-of-its-kind facility utilizing PNE’s proprietary low-temperature plasma-assisted separation, or LPAS™, technology, and create 70 full-time manufacturing jobs and approximately 100 construction jobs.

Designed to process nickel-based lithium-ion battery-manufacturing scrap, the facility will recover and rejuvenate cathode active material for return to battery manufacturing, creating an integrated, closed-loop domestic battery supply chain.

“This selection represents an important validation of Princeton NuEnergy’s technology and our ability to bring direct recycling to commercial scale,” said Joe Fisher, Chief Commercial Officer of Princeton NuEnergy. “By deploying our Cathode-to-Cathode® process alongside battery-cell manufacturing, we can transform manufacturing scrap directly back into high-quality cathode active material while lowering costs and strengthening America’s domestic battery-material supply chain.”

“We are grateful for the Department of Energy’s Office of Critical Minerals and Energy Innovation (CMEI), Manufacturing Deployment Office (MDO), support and look forward to bringing this project into operation.” said Dr. Chao Yan, founder and CEO of Princeton NuEnergy.

Building a Domestic Closed-Loop Battery Supply Chain

PNE’s Cathode-to-Cathode® process is designed to preserve and rejuvenate the engineered structure of cathode materials rather than breaking them down into their constituent elements through conventional recycling processes.

By locating the facility alongside battery manufacturing operations, PNE will create a streamlined closed-loop system capable of returning rejuvenated cathode active material to battery manufacturing in approximately seven days.

PNE’s process can produce rejuvenated cathode active material at a cost of roughly 45 percent below that of comparable virgin material, without materially damaging the cathode structure.

The project is intended to establish a domestic source of battery-grade nickel-manganese-cobalt cathode active material while reducing reliance on imported battery materials and strengthening U.S. critical-mineral and energy security.

From Demonstration to Commercial Deployment

The Commerce facility will serve as a commercial demonstration of PNE’s modular Cathode-to-Cathode® platform and provide a foundation for broader deployment across the U.S. battery manufacturing industry.

Following a successful demonstration of the project, PNE plans to deploy as many as 10 additional privately financed production lines, potentially increasing total capacity to approximately 30,000 tonnes-per-year by 2035.

More than 90 percent of the proposed facility’s equipment is expected to consist of standard industrial equipment, supporting a modular approach designed for efficient replication and deployment. Data analytics and artificial intelligence will support process optimization and predictive maintenance.

“Direct recycling allows us to retain more of the value already engineered into cathode materials rather than breaking them down and rebuilding them from their constituent elements,” said Stephen Snyder, Chief Strategy Officer of Princeton NuEnergy. “This project gives us an opportunity to demonstrate that approach at meaningful commercial scale and directly alongside battery manufacturing.”

The article explains how after-hours pediatric urgent care gives families access to timely, child-focused care when regular medical offices are closed.

NEWNAN, Ga., Aug. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — How can families handle sudden childhood illnesses or injuries that appear when the regular doctor’s office is closed? A HelloNation article featuring Pediatric Care Expert Phillip Walker of Childrens Clinic in Newnan, GA, explains what after-hours pediatric urgent care is and why it has become an essential support for parents. The feature describes how this specialized service bridges the gap between daytime appointments and emergency room visits, offering care that is both timely and child-focused.

The HelloNation article opens by explaining that children often get sick or injured outside of normal business hours. Fevers, coughs, sore throats, or minor injuries can arise at night or on weekends, leaving parents unsure of what to do. Walker explains that understanding what is after-hours pediatric urgent care is gives families a clear alternative when symptoms cannot wait until morning but are not severe enough for the emergency room. These centers are designed to provide professional, child-centered care when families need it most.

After-hours pediatric urgent care centers are tailored specifically for children. Providers who work in these settings are trained to recognize how symptoms present differently in young patients. The HelloNation article notes that these facilities handle common issues such as ear pain, rashes, minor injuries, and fevers. The environment is also designed to feel more comfortable and less intimidating for children. Staff communicate in ways that help young patients feel calm and understood, which makes visits smoother for both parents and children.

One major benefit of after-hours care, according to the HelloNation feature, is the ability to reduce unnecessary emergency room visits. Many families struggle to decide whether a child’s symptoms require a trip to the hospital. Emergency rooms are vital for serious problems, but they can involve long waits and added stress for minor conditions. By offering a middle ground, after-hours pediatric urgent care helps families access professional guidance quickly and efficiently. Understanding what after-hours pediatric urgent care is allows parents to make better choices about when and where to seek help.

The article explains that familiarity with childhood illnesses also makes these centers valuable. Providers who focus on pediatrics know that fevers, coughs, and stomach symptoms can change quickly. Walker highlights that after-hours teams evaluate these symptoms with an understanding of each child’s age and developmental stage. This experience allows them to give clear, age-appropriate advice that fits each family’s situation. Parents benefit from knowing that the guidance they receive is based on a deep understanding of how children respond to illness.

Access to care outside regular clinic hours also brings peace of mind to families. When a child wakes up with discomfort in the middle of the night, parents often face anxiety about waiting until morning. The HelloNation article explains that after-hours pediatric urgent care gives families immediate answers and direction. This quick access helps parents make decisions confidently instead of worrying through the night. Timely evaluation often helps children begin to feel better sooner, restoring a sense of calm for the entire household.

Minor injuries are another common reason families visit after-hours care. Children often get hurt in the evening while playing or participating in sports. Sprains, bruises, and small cuts may not be emergencies, but they still require professional evaluation. Walker explains that these centers provide careful assessment in a setting that understands children’s comfort levels. By offering treatment and advice for non-emergency injuries, after-hours pediatric urgent care keeps care simple and reassuring while preventing unnecessary hospital visits.

The HelloNation article also emphasizes how coordination with a child’s regular provider strengthens continuity of care. Many after-hours pediatric urgent care centers send visit summaries to the child’s primary home. This communication ensures that follow-up visits, ongoing treatment, or further evaluation can continue smoothly. Walker notes that this teamwork keeps families informed and helps avoid confusion about next steps. Consistent communication between urgent care and primary care builds trust and keeps children’s records complete.

After-hours care becomes particularly important during busy illness seasons. Cold, flu, and allergy spikes often fill daytime appointments quickly, leaving families with limited options. The HelloNation article explains that extended evening and weekend hours reduce scheduling stress by giving families an alternative when symptoms appear suddenly. Having access to pediatric-specific care during these peak periods ensures that children receive timely evaluation while parents maintain a sense of control and preparedness.

Reassurance is another key benefit described in the HelloNation article. Parents often need clear explanations and realistic expectations about what to do after leaving the clinic. After-hours pediatric providers take time to explain how to manage symptoms at home, when to return for follow-up, and what warning signs to watch for. This approach helps families focus on comfort and recovery rather than uncertainty. Walker explains that feeling informed during these moments can make a major difference in how families experience illness at home.

Over time, after-hours pediatric urgent care becomes an important part of a community’s healthcare network. It fills the gap between daytime offices and emergency services, ensuring that families are never without support. For parents learning what after-hours pediatric urgent care is, the HelloNation article makes clear that it offers timely access, specialized expertise, and peace of mind. It helps children receive the right level of care at the right time while keeping families connected to the professionals they trust most.

Why After-Hours Pediatric Urgent Care Matters features insights from Phillip Walker, Pediatric Care Expert of Newnan, GA, in HelloNation.

Plumbing Expert Grace Bahorik Explains Water Heater Lifespan And Maintenance in HelloNation

Published

The article outlines how long a water heater typically lasts and how proper maintenance can prevent early failure.

DAYTON, Ohio, Aug. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — How long does a water heater last before it needs to be replaced? HelloNation has published an article that provides the answer, featuring insights from Plumbing Expert Grace Bahorik of Dayton, Ohio.

The HelloNation article explains that most traditional tank water heater systems last between eight and twelve years. However, the article notes that proper maintenance can extend a water heater’s lifespan well beyond that range. Some manufacturers design units to last much longer under the right conditions, but regular care plays a major role in achieving those results.

One of the most important steps discussed in the article is to flush the tank once or twice a year. Over time, sediment collects at the bottom of the water heater, especially in areas with hard water. This buildup forces the system to work harder to produce hot water, increasing wear and raising the risk of overheating. Flushing the tank removes sediment and helps the unit operate more efficiently.

Another key component highlighted in the article is the anode rod. This metal rod is designed to attract corrosion that would otherwise damage the inside of the tank. Because the anode rod wears down over time, replacing it every three to five years can significantly extend a water heater’s lifespan. The article describes a failing or missing anode rod as a common reason water heater systems break down earlier than expected.

The article also outlines early warning signs that may signal the need for water heater repair or replacement. Inconsistent water temperature, longer heating times, strange noises, or rust colored water are indicators that internal parts may be deteriorating. Plumbing Expert Grace Bahorik emphasizes in the article that recognizing these symptoms early can help homeowners avoid sudden breakdowns.

Water heater repair may be an option when a single part, such as a thermostat or heating element, fails. However, the article explains that if the tank itself is leaking or corroded, repair is usually not a long-term solution. A leak at the base of the water heater often means the inner lining has failed, and replacement is generally the safer course of action.

Proper sizing is another factor discussed in the article. A water heater that is too small for the household will be overworked, while one that is too large may waste energy. Both situations can shorten the overall water heater lifespan. A professional plumber can evaluate a home’s water usage and recommend an appropriately sized unit.

The article also compares traditional tank systems with tankless models. Tankless water heater units often last twenty years or more, but they still require routine maintenance, including descaling and filter checks. No matter the type of system, skipping maintenance reduces efficiency and increases the likelihood of failure.

Homeowners are encouraged to monitor their systems regularly. Listening for unusual sounds, checking for visible leaks, and paying attention to how quickly hot water is delivered are practical steps that can reveal developing issues. Plumbing Expert Grace Bahorik notes in the article that many problems start small and become more serious when ignored.

The article concludes that understanding the expected lifespan of a water heater allows homeowners to plan ahead. With regular maintenance, timely water heater repair when needed, and attention to warning signs, most systems can provide reliable hot water for many years.
