WORQ is recognized for its disciplined growth strategy, transit-oriented workspace network, customer-centric experience, and differentiated approach to Malaysia’s evolving flexible workspace market.

SAN ANTONIO, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Frost & Sullivan is pleased to announce that WORQ has received the 2026 Malaysian Flexible Workspace Competitive Strategy Leadership Recognition for its outstanding achievements in strategy execution, market expansion, operational discipline, and customer-centric growth. This recognition highlights WORQ’s ability to strengthen its competitive position while delivering flexible, technology-enabled workplace solutions aligned with the evolving needs of enterprises and occupiers.

Frost & Sullivan evaluates companies through a rigorous benchmarking process across two core dimensions: strategy effectiveness and strategy execution. WORQ excelled in both, demonstrating its ability to align strategic initiatives with market demand while executing them with efficiency, consistency, and scale.

“WORQ has built a differentiated growth strategy by combining disciplined site selection, strategic landlord partnerships, and a strong focus on transit-oriented developments. Its continued investment in technology and physical workspace creates lasting value across its ecosystem of landlords, investors, and occupiers,” said Janice Wung, Industry Principal at Frost & Sullivan.

Guided by a long-term growth strategy focused on capital efficiency, demand-led expansion, and strategic partnerships, WORQ has developed a hybrid operating model combining conventional lease structures with partnership-driven arrangements involving institutional landlords. This approach enables access to premium locations while supporting disciplined scaling. The company aims to reach 500,000 square feet by 2027 and 1 million square feet by the end of the decade.

Innovation and operational consistency are central to WORQ’s approach. Its cloud-based operating systems provide real-time visibility across locations, supporting standardized processes and enabling successful workspace models to be replicated with speed and precision. Its network of transit-oriented locations across the Klang Valley further strengthens accessibility and competitive differentiation, with twelve outlets located directly at train stops.

“WORQ is fundamentally an innovation company. From the get-go, our edge has been thinking differently at every stage of this industry’s evolution — prioritizing profitability and efficiency before the market saw it as essential, building the first-of-its-kind transit-oriented coworking network, and establishing coworking as essential infrastructure for the future of work. We also invested early in community and people experience, understanding that both take time to build but compound powerfully at scale. That strategic discipline is why WORQ is now the largest and strongest player in the industry. This recognition from Frost & Sullivan is a strong signal that our strategy is leading the market — and we plan to bring more exciting innovations to the market,” said Stephanie Ping, Co-Founder and CEO of WORQ.

WORQ’s commitment to customer experience further strengthens its market position. Its Space-as-a-Service and Enterprise Solution offerings manage the complexity of office occupation, from site selection and fit-out to facilities management and day-to-day administration. The company also places strong emphasis on wellbeing, community, and engagement. WORQ Well at KL Eco City, Malaysia’s first and only coworking space to receive the WELL Coworking Rating, exemplifies this approach through an experience-led workplace environment designed around productivity and wellbeing.

Beyond physical workspace, WORQ maintains continuous engagement throughout the client life cycle, working with organizations as their headcount, workplace, and operational requirements evolve. More than 62% of customers stay for the long term, while annual revenues exceed MYR 50 million, supported by diversified revenue streams across coworking memberships, private offices, enterprise solutions, meeting rooms, and event spaces.

Frost & Sullivan commends WORQ for setting a strong benchmark in competitive strategy, execution, and market responsiveness. Its disciplined operating model, customer-centric workplace experience, and strategic approach to expansion demonstrate how flexible workspace providers can create tangible value for both occupiers and property partners.

Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents the Competitive Strategy Leadership Recognition to a company that demonstrates outstanding strategy development and implementation, resulting in measurable improvements in competitive positioning, customer value, and market performance.

SparkLabs and Mirae Asset Launch a Venture Capital Fund for Central Asian Startups

Published

SEOUL, South Korea, Sept. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Qazaqstan Investment Corporation (QIC), IT Park Ventures (Uzbekistan), Mirae Asset Venture Investment and SparkLabs Group have signed a term sheet to establish SparkLabs Mirae Silk Road Fund I LP, a new venture capital fund. The fund will be managed by Mirae Asset Venture Investment and SparkLabs Group.

The signing took place in Seoul during the state visits of the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to Korea and the first Central Asia–Republic of Korea Summit.

During this past week, South Korea and Kazakhstan signed commercial agreements worth US$18.95 billion. Kazakhstan is a country of 20 million people with its core industries being oil and gas, and among the highest producers of iron and silver in the world. Uzbekistan is a country of 39 million people, and they are the largest electricity producer in Central Asia.

Qazaqstan Investment Corporation (QIC) is Kazakhstan’s national fund of funds and are anchor investors along with IT Park Ventures, the venture capital arm of the country’s state technology park. The new venture capital fund will back Central Asian startups at the Series A and later, which are businesses with a proven model that are ready to scale beyond the region. The fund is sector-agnostic but focuses on AI-native companies, where artificial intelligence is core to the product and business model.

“Higgsfield becoming Kazakhstan’s first unicorn was a turning point. It showed that a world-class AI company can be built in Central Asia. And it won’t be the last with more than half of the region’s population is under 30, growing up digital and our governments actively investing in AI. Yet the region is still largely overlooked by international investors, and that’s the opportunity this fund is built for,” explained Aslan Sultanov, Co-founder and General Partner at SparkLabs Mirae Silk Road.

Former Coinbase CTO and Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, Balaji Srinivasan, reopened his Network School in Kazakhstan last month. Telegram launched an AI lab and opened their first regional office in Kazakhstan this past year.

Beyond capital, portfolio companies will gain access to the SparkLabs and Mirae Asset’s global networks, along with hands-on support in expanding into South Korea, the United States and the MENA region.

About the Partners

SparkLabs Group is a network of startup accelerators and venture capital funds that has invested in over 600 startups across 6 continents since December 2013. These companies include OpenAI, SpaceX, Vectara, Kneron, Anthropic, Nex Team, Kraken, GenG, Lyft, MetAI, and others.

Mirae Asset Venture Investment is the venture capital arm of Mirae Asset Financial Group, one of Asia’s largest independent financial groups with over US$845 billion in assets under management. The company operates worldwide across 18 markets, and manages a fully diversified global investment platform encompassing ETFs, alternative investments, and traditional strategies.

Qazaqstan Investment Corporation (QIC) is Kazakhstan’s national fund of funds and part of Baiterek National Managing Holding. QIC invests in private equity and venture capital funds alongside international and private partners, with the goal of attracting long-term capital into Kazakhstan and developing the country’s investment ecosystem. QIC participates in 19 funds with a combined capitalization of $2.8 billion.

IT Park Ventures is the venture capital arm of IT Park Uzbekistan, the country’s state technology park and the main platform supporting Uzbekistan’s IT industry and tech exports. IT Park Ventures invests in startups from Uzbekistan and Central Asia and co-invests with international funds, connecting regional founders with global capital and markets.
