Dale Carnegie White Paper Reveals Why Organizational Change Breaks Down in Execution

New research reveals how gaps in clarity, alignment, and leadership consistency can undermine transformation efforts

NEW YORK, Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Dale Carnegie today released its new white paper, Leading Organizational Change: The Human System Behind Successful Execution, which examines why organizational transformation efforts can lose traction even when formal change processes and implementation plans are in place. The research reveals that what organizations often interpret as employee resistance may instead reflect weakening alignment as change moves from strategy into day-to-day execution.

Dale Carnegie’s research reveals that perceptions of clarity and alignment continue to decline across organizational levels, creating greater potential for inconsistent interpretation and execution among those responsible for putting change into practice. The white paper identifies four interconnected conditions that can help organizations address those gaps: orientation, translation, reinforcement, and momentum.

“Organizations can have a strong change strategy and still struggle when that strategy reaches day-to-day execution,” said Robert Coleman, PhD, director of research and thought leadership for Dale Carnegie and author of the white paper. “Leaders need to pay attention not only to whether employees support the change, but whether they see it as credible, understand how it impacts their roles, receive consistent reinforcement, and see evidence that their efforts are producing progress.”

The white paper identifies four interconnected conditions that form the human system behind sustained change: orientation, translation, reinforcement, and momentum. Together, these conditions influence whether employees view change as credible, convert organizational direction into coordinated action, receive consistent support throughout implementation, and maintain confidence as the transformation progresses.

Key Insights

Clarity declines as strategy moves closer to execution. Only 48.2% of individual contributors believe the broader organization is “on the same page,” compared with 79.4% of leaders. As change moves from leaders to managers and individual contributors, inconsistent interpretations can increase the risk of fragmented execution.Leadership credibility affects how employees respond to change. Only 27% of employees strongly believe their immediate leader’s actions consistently align with their messages, falling to 18.5% among individual contributors. When actions and messages diverge, employees may question whether change is credible enough to support.Communication must translate strategy into individual action. Only 17.3% of individual contributors strongly agree their goals have been well-defined, compared with 43.6% of leaders. Without role-level clarity, organizations can create awareness without achieving coordinated execution. Reinforcement helps stabilize change. What leaders prioritize, model, recognize, measure, and support signals whether new expectations truly matter. Inconsistent reinforcement can push employees back toward familiar routines and legacy workflows.Visible progress helps sustain momentum. Making milestones, operational wins, and successful adaptation visible helps employees connect their effort to progress and sustain commitment before final results arrive.

“Successful change requires more than launching an initiative and communicating the strategy,” Coleman said. “Leaders need to continuously shape the conditions that allow people to understand the change, act on it consistently, and sustain their effort long enough for results to emerge. That means establishing credibility, translating strategy into role-level clarity, reinforcing and recalibrating expectations throughout implementation, making progress visible, and monitoring for signs that alignment is beginning to weaken.”

Agile Robots Launches Agile ONE SN Humanoid at NVIDIA GTC Berlin and Pilots Humanoids with Audi

BERLIN, Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On 21 October, Agile Robots and NVIDIA launched the research humanoid Agile ONE SN at NVIDIA GTC Berlin. Agile Robots has released its new-generation Diana 7 and Diana 3 arms, both supporting the Franka Control Interface (FCI).

Agile ONE SN: humanoid reference platform

Agile ONE SN is built on the NVIDIA Isaac GR00T development platform. The 1.4-metre, 43-kilogram humanoid has dual WUJI tactile five-finger hands and 71 degrees of freedom in total, runs on NVIDIA Jetson Thor and ships with the GR00T 1.7 open VLA model. Skills developed on it can transfer to the full-size industrial Agile ONE. Availability is planned for early 2027.

Two days earlier, at the Invest in Germany Summit in Berlin, NVIDIA announced plans to invest in Agile Robots.

“Agile ONE SN gives R&D labs around the world a complete humanoid platform that is ready from day one,” said Dr. Zhaopeng Chen, founder and CEO of Agile Robots.

Application: humanoids in Audi’s logistics

Agile Robots, AUDI AG, Dassault Systèmes and NVIDIA also announced a joint project at Audi’s Ingolstadt plant. In the Audi Production Lab, mobile humanoids pick parts from containers and sequence them for final assembly, a task performed around one million times a day. The workcell is first tested in a DELMIA virtual twin accelerated by NVIDIA Omniverse libraries.

Diana 7 and Diana 3: one interface, from lab to industrial payloads

Diana 7 extends Franka Research 3 to higher payloads and reach, while Diana 3 brings the same force-control platform to entry-level research. Both share ±0.05 mm repeatability and 0.5 N relative force-control accuracy, and both support FCI, so Franka Research 3 code moves directly to Diana.

Diana 3 keeps seven degrees of freedom, joint torque sensing and compliant control for precision manipulation, lab automation and sample handling. Diana 7, shown at the 26th China International Industry Fair in Shanghai (12–16 October), offers 7 kg payload and 923 mm reach, and weighs 2 kg less than before.
