RICHMOND, Va., Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — AMC Technology today announced the launch of a dedicated Forward Deployed Engineering, or FDE, team focused on helping enterprises deploy, integrate and modernize voice experiences across the Salesforce platform.
The team pairs AMC’s more than 31 years of enterprise voice expertise with its purpose-built DaVinci orchestration technology to solve one of the biggest challenges in agentic voice adoption: connecting new Salesforce capabilities to the complex voice infrastructure enterprises already run.

DaVinci serves as the orchestration layer underneath that work, connecting voice signaling, media, events and customer data across enterprise voice platforms and Salesforce. The FDE model centers on hands-on customer engineering rather than traditional advisory consulting. AMC engineers work directly inside complex customer environments to design architectures, validate use cases, build integrations and move voice workloads into production. The company has applied this approach in large enterprise voice environments spanning thousands of agents, legacy telephony, CCaaS platforms and real-time transcription, guiding many of them through phased Salesforce migrations. WASHINGTON, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — More than 50 leading organizations spanning technology, policy, research, investment, philanthropy, and movement-building today announced the Pro-Human AI Coalition, a global effort that brings urgently needed infrastructure and resources to the work of keeping AI under human control and prioritizing public interest over corporate profit.
The launch follows an extraordinary week in which AI researchers resigned over safety concerns, new details emerged about AI agents conspiring to evade safeguards, and the industry’s own leaders called for slowing the pace of AI development. The Coalition will not only work for better policy to keep AI under human control, but also address foundational questions around who benefits from the technology.
Established as an independent nonprofit institution and co-founded by Project Liberty, Future of Life Institute, and Ergo Impact, The Coalition’s steering committee includes Mila, the world’s largest academic AI research institute, and Omidyar Network, a leading philanthropic investment firm.
“The last generation of digital technology was designed to connect people. Instead, over time, it pulled us apart, harvested our data, and extracted our humanity for profit. We can’t allow that to happen again,” said Frank McCourt, founder of Project Liberty and a co-founder of the Coalition. “AI is technology powered by all our collective data and creativity. Humanity deserves a say in who owns it, who governs it, and who benefits from it. The answers shouldn’t be dictated by a handful of powerful companies. Policy can help answer some of those questions. We also urgently need to address the underlying architecture of AI systems. We need AI that’s designed for human agency and flourishing. Challenging a broken AI status quo is the work of the Coalition.”

The Coalition runs on high-trust guidelines that let members share intelligence, move capital rapidly, and access world-class shared services including news aggregation, public opinion research, ecosystem mapping, and event coordination. These systems are already up and running. The Coalition is also supporting fourteen strategic field-building projects, including a U.S. policy and legislative tracker covering more than 500 state and federal tech bills. Its active workstreams target five centers of power: the Pro-Human AI Stack, Policy, Middle Powers Collaboration, Narrative Intelligence, and Markets Shaping & Economic Impact.

In the U.S., Coalition members have already enacted bipartisan legislation pushing for more responsible AI in five states: Utah, California, Ohio, Connecticut, and South Dakota. Additional Coalition-aligned bills are advancing in New York, Virginia, and other jurisdictions ahead of legislative sessions that open in January. The Coalition’s membership is cross-ideological, so that its work can move forward regardless of which party holds power in Washington or throughout the nation.
The Coalition is also developing cornerstone policy deliverables for the Geneva AI Summit, a global convening, in June 2027, covering data portability, interoperability, agent transparency and duty of loyalty, child and teen safety, privacy, creator protection, procurement standards, developer liability, and anti-lock-in enforcement.

Georgia Power’s Robins Battery Storage achieves commercial operation helping to ensure reliable energy in Georgia

Newest solar connected battery facility in Macon-Bibb County adds 128 MW of storage to grid
ATLANTA, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Georgia Power leaders recently joined state and local officials and leaders from Robins Air Force Base to celebrate the commercial operation of the Robins Battery Facility, a 128-megawatt (MW) battery energy storage system (BESS) located near Warner Robins, Ga. The facility can deliver stored energy to the grid for up to four hours, enhancing grid reliability and flexibility. Paired with the nearby Robins Solar Facility, the battery system strengthens energy resilience and helps support Georgia’s continued growth.
Robins Air Force Base Col. Johari Hemphill, Sen. Larry Walker, Sen. David Lucas, Sen. Steven McNeel, Rep. Anissa Jones, Central Georgia Joint Development Authority Chairman James Vaughn, Macon-Bibb County Mayor Lester Miller and other community leaders joined Georgia Power executives to celebrate the commercial operation of the Robins Battery Facility. The event reflected the strong partnerships that helped bring the project to life and highlighted its role in strengthening Georgia’s energy infrastructure while supporting economic growth and investment in Macon-Bibb County.

At the 128 MW Robins Solar and Battery Facility, battery energy storage captures renewable energy during periods of lower customer demand and stores it for use when demand is higher, such as on cold winter mornings or during peak energy use. By pairing solar generation with battery storage, the facility provides greater flexibility and reliability while supporting Georgia’s growing energy needs.
The project is part of Georgia Power’s broader strategy to add cost-effective energy resources through the Georgia Public Service Commission’s (PSC) Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) process. Burns & McDonnell served as the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the Robins Battery Facility and delivered the project on schedule.
Expanding Battery Storage Across Georgia
The Robins Battery Facility is one of four battery energy storage projects approved in the 2023 IRP Update. Georgia Power has completed battery storage facilities in Cherokee and Lowndes counties totaling 579.5 MW and is nearing completion of a 57.5 MW facility in Floyd County.
The PSC has also approved nine additional BESS facilities across eight sites statewide, adding more than 3,000 MW of energy storage capacity. Sites were selected based on their ability to efficiently support grid operations, including proximity to existing infrastructure, substations and company-owned properties. Planned facilities include locations at Plants Bowen, Hammond, McIntosh, Wansley and Yates, as well as stand-alone sites in Hall and McDuffie counties.
To help meet growing energy needs, Georgia Power has also received approval for two solar facilities paired with battery storage, providing a combined 350 MW of generating capacity. These projects are designed to maximize solar production while minimizing land impacts. The new solar-plus-storage facilities will be located in Laurens and Mitchell counties.
