Fulcrum Announces MCP & AI Toolkit That Let Field Teams Create Fully-Featured, End-to-End Digital Workflows Through AI

Published

on

Field Operations Management workflows once deemed “too hard to build” now easily replace disparate, narrowly scoped custom apps and paper forms

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Fulcrum today announced the launch of an MCP server and AI Toolkit for its Field Operations Management platform, which field organizations use to run, record, and close out their work. The additions enable the people closest to the work to describe a field process with rigorous requirements and immediately deploy the resulting workflow to their teams.

Every field organization has a list of workflows it never built: too complicated, too slow to build, or too far down someone’s queue. Fulcrum customers have started to build out those never-before-completed workflows by using the new MCP server and AI Toolkit, which are available through the Fulcrum Labs early-release program. Replacing narrowly scoped apps and paper-based processes with end-to-end workflows immediately improves field efficiency, data quality, and integrated safety.

“Since Fulcrum already provides the core services the field needs, it’s the natural place to apply the incredible power of AI to build these workflows,” said Mike Lambert, Chief Product Officer. “The builder, whether it’s an agent or a field SME, doesn’t need to worry about how GIS data, offline sync, or other field-specific requirements are handled. Everything built in Fulcrum starts off as a structured, best-practice workflow that fits IT’s requirements by inheriting the technical and administrative capabilities directly from the platform.”

“Our customers demand infrastructure they can trust, but they’re also under a mandate to modernize,” said Jim Grady, Chief Executive Officer. “That drove us to make our Field Operations Management platform the place where the most significant drivers of trust are built in, like permissioning, integration, and audit trails. The platform also manages the most difficult field-unique requirements that modern utilities face, like lidar integration and analytics. Now Fulcrum lets AI users focus on creating end-to-end field workflows so they can get rid of the patchwork of mobile apps and paper that holds them back.”

“Fraser-Lever works with a wide range of technology platforms, but few combine extensibility, ease of use, and true offline capability as effectively as Fulcrum,” said Ben Allwood, Director at Fraser-Lever, a multidisciplinary engineering company working primarily in the resources sector. “Its flexible data architecture and powerful API provide a strong foundation for innovation, enabling us to integrate AI-assisted workflows that streamline processing, improve accuracy, accelerate turnaround times, and ultimately deliver greater value for our clients.”

“In the near term, we’re seeing customers start to break through the backlog of field workflows,” Grady said. “We get really excited, though, when discussing the rate of change that field organizations can sustain once the backlog stops governing what gets built.”

Customers can acquire the MCP server and AI Toolkit by requesting access through the Fulcrum Labs program.
