SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Reducto, the agentic document platform for leading enterprises and AI teams, today announced the opening of its New York City office. The office will serve as the center of Reducto’s East Coast presence and support the company’s continued growth with enterprise customers in the region.

Since announcing more than $108 million in total funding last year, Reducto has grown to process billions of pages for the world’s largest enterprises and AI teams. Its platform powers production use cases where extracting accurate, structured data from complex documents is critical.

The company recently released r-1, the first in a new generation of unified parsing models, and is expanding its physical presence to better serve its growing customer base.

Bringing document intelligence into production requires a detailed understanding of each customer’s documents, systems, accuracy requirements, and existing workflows. Reducto works closely with customers from initial evaluations through architecture and deployment, using their most challenging documents to ensure the system performs reliably in production.

“New York is home to many of the enterprises shaping how AI is deployed across major industries. Expanding our presence there brings us closer to those customers and gives us access to an exceptional pool of commercial and technical talent. Together, that will help more enterprises move document intelligence from evaluation into production.” — Adit Abraham, CEO

Many of Reducto’s most valuable customer conversations have happened in person. The New York office builds on Reducto’s growing relationships across the region, creating more opportunities to collaborate directly with customers and better understand the workflows they are bringing into production.

Reducto is actively hiring across functions for its New York team. Current openings include Enterprise and Growth Account Executives, Business Development Representatives, and Solutions Engineers. Candidates can explore open New York roles here.

For more than 25 years, CommLab India has supported global organizations with custom onboarding solutions that can be deployed consistently across roles, regions, languages, and recurring hiring cycles.

“Effective onboarding has a direct impact on how quickly employees understand their roles and begin contributing with confidence,” said Dr. RK Prasad, CEO & Co-Founder, CommLab India. “For enterprise L&D teams, the challenge is delivering that experience consistently across different roles and locations while keeping the learning relevant to the work employees actually need to perform. This recognition reflects the trust our clients place in us to help them deliver onboarding at scale.”

Enterprise onboarding often involves more than a single orientation program. Organizations may need to prepare employees across different job families, geographies, business units, and languages while keeping content current as products, policies, systems, and processes change.

CommLab India helps L&D teams address these requirements through solutions that can include custom eLearning and role-based learning paths, scenario-based learning and simulations, microlearning and performance support, video-based learning, ILT and VILT components, multilingual learning for global workforces, and AI-enabled production support with instructional oversight.

The company’s approach combines instructional design, rapid eLearning development, learning technology expertise, and localization support to help organizations build onboarding programs that can be updated, adapted, and scaled as business needs change.

“CommLab India designs onboarding around what employees need to understand, practice, and apply in their jobs,” said Dr. Ayesha Habeeb Omer, COO & Co-Founder, CommLab India. “This can include structuring learning across multiple stages, reinforcing critical knowledge after initial training, providing opportunities to practice decisions in realistic scenarios, and making job-relevant support available when employees begin applying what they have learned.”

For L&D teams managing recurring hiring cycles or geographically distributed workforces, this approach can help create a more consistent onboarding experience without requiring every program to be rebuilt from the ground up.

The recognition from eLearning Industry reinforces CommLab India’s focus on helping organizations make onboarding relevant, scalable, and practical to execute across the enterprise.

eLearning Industry’s Top Employee Onboarding Content Providers list highlights companies specializing in learning solutions designed to support new-hire onboarding and employee readiness. CommLab India has been ranked #2 on the current list.

National competition in Shapingba District draws more than 100 teams developing robotics technologies for real-world deployment

CHONGQING, China, Sept. 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — A national robotics competition held this month in Chongqing offered a look at China’s efforts to move embodied artificial intelligence out of research laboratories and into commercial use.

The finals of the 11th “Maker in China” SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest for Intelligent Biomimetic Robots concluded Sept. 11 in Chongqing’s Shapingba District. The three-day national competition drew more than 100 teams from across China, with projects spanning biomimetic robotics, industrial automation and AI systems designed to perceive and interact with the physical world.

Alongside the competition, organizers arranged meetings involving companies, universities and research institutions, as well as discussions aimed at technology transfer, financing and local deployment. The event formed part of a national program intended to support innovative SMEs with specialized technologies. Its theme was “Pushing Tech Frontiers, Unleashing Creativity.”

The competition comprised 13 tracks, covering work ranging from foundational research to systems approaching commercial deployment. Teams in the startup category competed in three broad areas: cutting-edge technologies, core enabling technologies and specialized applications. Their projects focused in part on the hardware, software and control systems underpinning the next generation of robots.

Teams in the enterprise category, by contrast, tested systems designed for real-world use in the electric power, healthcare and service sectors. The emphasis was on whether the technologies could perform reliably in operating environments and be scaled for broader deployment.

Many of the entries targeted technical bottlenecks that have limited the wider deployment of robotic systems. Projects included multi-robot coordination and task-scheduling systems for warehouses; assistive exoskeletons for older adults and rehabilitation patients; biomimetic robots for inspecting electric power infrastructure; miniature hummingbird-inspired flapping-wing drones; and robots capable of folding clothing autonomously. Together, the projects illustrated the range of engineering approaches Chinese developers are pursuing as they seek practical applications for embodied AI.

The competition also served as a venue for financing and business-development discussions, and several participating projects announced plans to establish operations in Shapingba. At the closing ceremony, the Shapingba District government signed letters of intent with SIASUN Robot & Automation Co., Ltd. and Chentu Technology, among other companies. ZTE also signed letters of intent with teams from Zhejiang University and Xi’an Jiaotong University.

Shapingba is seeking to establish itself as a center for embodied AI within Chongqing’s broader robotics supply chain. The value of the district’s robotics output rose 233% from a year earlier during the first seven months of 2026, according to local government data.
