JA’s P-HJT Modules Successfully Reach Orbit

Published

on

BEIJING, Sept. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — JA announced that its independently developed and packaged P-type heterojunction (P-HJT) modules were successfully launched aboard a Kuaizhou-11 rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on September 17 and entered their planned orbit.

The mission marks JA’s first in-orbit test of P-HJT modules, with future large-scale commercial applications as a long-term goal.

“Energy innovation has long been a driving force behind human progress,” said Dr. Ouyang Zi, Chief Technology Officer of JA. “As satellite deployment accelerates and the space economy expands, solar power is expected to play an increasingly important role in future space infrastructure. Developing more cost-competitive solar solutions for space is therefore an important strategic priority.

“JA has spent years building expertise in photovoltaic technology, with the reliability and long-term performance of its products proven through large-scale manufacturing and deployment across a wide range of terrestrial applications. This in-orbit test extends those capabilities into the space environment and marks an important step in JA’s exploration of future space energy solutions.

“Through real-world testing in orbit, we aim to assess the reliability and degradation of crystalline silicon technology in low-Earth orbit and explore more cost-competitive options for future space energy systems. The technology will require long-term validation, but we believe it is a direction worth pursuing.”

In orbit, the JA modules will be exposed to harsh conditions, including intense radiation, high-energy particles and extreme temperature swings. By comparing in-orbit performance data with results from ground-based simulations, JA will assess the long-term reliability and degradation of P-HJT technology in low-Earth orbit.

If the validation targets are achieved, the program could help accelerate the adoption of mature crystalline silicon technologies as an alternative to gallium arsenide in low-Earth-orbit applications, potentially lowering the cost of satellite power systems. It could also support the development of satellite internet, remote sensing, space communications, space-based computing and other low-Earth-orbit applications.

JA will use the mission as a starting point to further strengthen its module R&D and manufacturing capabilities and advance scalable energy solutions for space exploration and commercial space applications.

Space PV remains at an early stage of exploration and validation, and large-scale commercialization remains highly uncertain. JA currently has no orders related to space PV, and the program has no material impact on its current operating performance.

Ping An Good Doctor Launches ” Ping An GlobalCare”: AI-Powered Multilingual Services Break Down Healthcare Barriers for Expats in China

Published

By

HONG KONG, Sept. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Ping An Healthcare and Technology Company Limited (“Ping An Good Doctor” or the “Company”; Stock Code: 1833.HK) recently unveiled its new product “Ping An GlobalCare” (平安跨境康) at the Shenzhen Sci-Tech Innovation Exhibition. Targeting the pain points expats face when seeking medical care in China — language barriers, unfamiliarity with hospital procedures, and fragmented services — Ping An GlobalCare combines an AI-powered real-time translation engine with a closed loop of online and offline medical services to provide one-stop patient navigation. The product is now available for trial experience in Shenzhen.

On the technology front, Ping An GlobalCare is equipped with an advanced AI-powered translation engine that supports real-time, two-way speech and text translation across 19 languages, with precise coverage of professional medical terminology, effectively removing communication barriers between patients and physicians. To suit the habits of international users, the product supports login with mobile numbers from 198 countries and regions worldwide, greatly enhancing the convenience and reach of the service.

Beyond technology, the product also emphasizes companionship throughout the entire care journey, delivering a one-stop closed loop of “online assessment → transfer by a dedicated case coordinator → end-to-end in-person escort.” Take Michael, an American user who suffered sudden abdominal pain, as an example: after completing an online consultation with real-time AI translation through the system, he was promptly provided with a dedicated vehicle transfer, and a dedicated coordinator accompanied him throughout his hospital visit, shortening the normally cumbersome medical visit process to just three hours.

As for the medical team, the family doctor service team of Ping An GlobalCare has obtained membership certification under PKU Healthcare. Its service system has earned certification from three leading authorities: the World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA), the Chinese Society of General Practice of the Chinese Medical Association (CMA), and The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), bringing diagnostic and treatment standards fully in line with international benchmarks. Many of its team members come from 3A hospitals in mainland China, ensuring professional and high-standard medical services.

A representative of Ping An Good Doctor said that Ping An GlobalCare represents an innovative endeavor by the Company to address the medical service needs of expatriates in China. Looking ahead, the Company will continue to strengthen its cross-border healthcare capabilities and further enrich Ping An’s “online, in-hospital, at-home and corporate” service network, contributing to the development of a multi-tiered health service system and providing users at home and abroad with even more worry-free, time-saving, and money-saving full-cycle health management services.

Kmind Debuts Executive Strategy Program in Silicon Valley

Published

on

By

SHANGHAI, Sept. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Kmind Consulting, China’s leading strategy consulting firm, hosted an Executive Strategy Program on 18th September at Silicon Valley’s Computer History Museum, becoming the first Chinese strategy consulting firm to do so. Led by Noah Xie, Chairman and CEO of Kmind, the program brought the company’s strategic know-how to more than 100 executives and business leaders from the technology and consumer sectors.

The Innovation Dividend is Shrinking

Silicon Valley tech firms are experiencing a disconnect: technology is advancing rapidly, while turning technological capabilities into durable business value is becoming harder. Companies with leading AI capabilities are releasing new models and products at a relentless pace, intensifying competition while increasing the cost of innovation. At the same time, as technological capabilities become increasingly accessible, competitors can replicate products, features and even aspects of proprietary know-how more quickly.

As the window for technological differentiation narrows, entrepreneurs increasingly face the same question: How can companies turn technological leadership into sustainable business growth and build competitive advantages that are difficult to replicate?

Strategy in the age of AI

Kmind’s Program answered this question by deconstructing the company’s Next Generation Strategy, a framework blending Eastern wisdom with Western theory, with a particular focus on how customer perception shapes decisions across product development, operations and go-to-market strategy. This framework has helped more than 100 companies pursue sustained growth and stronger competitive positions.

The Program also brought real-world cases from leading Chinese companies to Silicon Valley, including:

Bosideng, a decades-old down jacket brand facing an aging brand image, reshaped its high-end perception through strategic products, achieving seven consecutive years of growth to become a global leader in the down-jacket market.Feihe, one of China’s leading dairy manufacturers, transformed from the seventh-ranked infant formula brand into a leading global player through targeted competitive positioning.

Both companies illustrate a broader principle: sustainable growth comes from connecting what a company can build with what customers value, and then embedding that insight across product, brand and go-to-market decisions.

For AI and technology companies, the same principle applies: technological capability becomes strategically valuable only when it translates into differentiated customer value.

“The central challenge for technology companies today is no longer simply how to build better technology, but how to translate technological advantage into lasting customer value and competitive advantage. That is why we brought Kmind’s Next Generation Strategy to Silicon Valley.”
Noah Xie, Chairman and CEO, Kmind Consulting

“It is rare to encounter a strategic framework as distinctive as Kmind’s Next Generation Strategy in Silicon Valley. Its emphasis on connecting technology with customer insight offers a valuable perspective for companies navigating the AI era.”
—Russell Flannery, Former Editor-in-Chief, Forbes China
