Public Launches AI Agents for Prediction Markets

At launch, Public is focusing on trading events that move the markets

NEW YORK, Sept. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Public, the world’s first agentic brokerage, today announced the launch of AI Agents for Prediction Markets, enabling members to trade on events that can shape financial markets and connect them with the rest of their portfolio. People can trade events directly or have AI agents trade on their behalf. For example, Public’s AI agents can use prediction market data as a signal for a stock or bond trade.

Members will have access to a broad range of prediction markets across key areas of the economy and financial markets and will be able to use AI agents to make informed decisions based on prediction market data.

The launch introduces prediction markets to Public, with a focus on events that move the markets. Categories include crypto, commodities, climate, economics, corporate events, markets, indices, tech & science, and politics and elections. Each category is designed to give investors another way to assess potential risks and opportunities relevant to their portfolios — whether that means evaluating the potential impact of a Federal Reserve rate cut, anticipating bitcoin price movements, or assessing the likelihood of a corporate event.

“Public is built for investors who take an active hand in constructing their portfolios, and our AI agents let them automate those strategies,” said Leif Abraham, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Public. “Prediction markets give those agents a new input: real-world events. Members can take a position on the event directly, or use the market’s data as the signal that triggers a trade anywhere else in their portfolio.”

Public members can also use the platform’s agentic brokerage and AI agents to monitor prediction market probabilities and take action in response to changing outcomes. For example, members could instruct their agents to:

Act on clinical trial or regulatory outcomes: If the probability of FDA approval for a healthcare stock in my portfolio crosses 75%, automatically execute a $5,000 market buy for that symbol.

Monitor rate expectations: If the probability of at least three rate cuts this year rises by 10 percentage points in a single day, alert me and summarize my exposure to bank stocks.

Respond to earnings risk: If the probability of a Q3 earnings miss rises above 60% for any stock I own, buy in-the-money put options, spending no more than $2,500 per position.

Public has partnered with Kalshi, the world’s largest prediction market and a CFTC-regulated financial exchange, to offer prediction markets and execute trades for their members.

Prediction Markets are now available to all Public members. To access Prediction Markets, join Public today at www.public.com.

Richmond based investment bank’s new name reflects its emphasis on guiding founders through the full arc of a transaction — including what happens after the deal closes.

RICHMOND, Va., Sept. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Transact Capital, a licensed investment bank and member of FINRA and SIPC specializing in mergers and acquisitions for founder-led, lower-middle-market businesses, today announced it has rebranded as Sequel Advisors. The change reflects the firm’s approach to M&A advisory: helping founders navigate not just the transaction itself, but the outcome that follows it.

Founded in 2003 and based in Richmond, Virginia, Sequel Advisors is a boutique firm advising founders primarily on sell-side M&A transactions, with a core focus on business services and growing practice areas in technology, healthcare, industrials, and adjacent sectors. Many of the firm’s team members are former founders and operators themselves.

“Why rebrand? The firm we’ve become deserves a name that actually describes it, and because the founders we serve deserve to know exactly what they’re getting before they ever pick up the phone. Our name now matches the way we’ve always done the work ” said Patrick Morin, Managing Partner at Sequel Advisors.

The rebrand includes a new visual identity and a redesigned website, sequeladvisors.com, featuring an expanded collection of client case studies detailing founders’ experiences working with the firm from engagement through post-close. The firm’s leadership, team, and day-to-day operations remain unchanged. Learn more about the team here.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The Income To Support All (ITSA) Foundation, a nonprofit working to advance universal basic income through research, storytelling, and real-world projects, announced today that Amy Wilson has joined its board of directors.

Wilson spent more than two decades building HR technology at PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, and Workday, where she led product teams through the shift from on-premise software to SaaS to AI. She now advises technology companies and founders. She also co-hosts The Meg & Amy Show, a podcast on the future of work, with Meg Bear. On the show, she interviews leaders and founders about what AI demands of leadership and who stands to gain from it.

Wilson spent ten years on the board of 211 Alameda County, the phone line people call for help with housing, food, and emergency needs, and served as board chair. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.

“I’ve spent my career watching technology reshape work from the inside,” said Wilson. “ITSA Foundation lets me bring that experience to a bigger question, which is what happens to people’s economic security when the shift speeds up. I’m glad to help build that answer.”

“How AI changes people’s lives depends on the choices we make about who shares in its benefits. Universal basic income can give everyone a stake in that progress and more freedom to shape their own lives,” said Scott Santens, CEO of ITSA Foundation. “Amy’s experience will help us advance that work.”

Celebree School CEO Creating Connections to Foster Momentum for the American Franchise Act

Richard Huffman speaks on IFA Advocacy Summit panel to discuss winning bipartisan support

BALTIMORE, Sept. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Celebree School Founder, President, and CEO, Richard Huffman joined U.S. Rep. Johnny Olszewski and an owner of a local Chick-fil-A, on a featured panel at the 2026 International Franchise Association (IFA) Advocacy Summit in Washington, D.C. Hosted by Haider Murtaza, IFA’s Senior Director of Federal Government Relations, the panel explored how personal relationships are what ultimately move legislation like the American Franchise Act across the finish line.

The Summit drew a record-setting crowd of more than 500 franchise executives, owners, and Franchisees of the Year to the nation’s capital. Attendees spent the week making the case directly to lawmakers for passage of the American Franchise Act, bipartisan legislation designed to establish a single, permanent federal joint-employer standard for the franchise industry after a decade of shifting rules.

A Panel Built on Common Ground
Huffman focused less on the legislative text and more on the relationship-building that gets a bill like the AFA taken seriously on Capitol Hill.

“You don’t win a lawmaker over with a fact sheet. How you make progress is by showing up, listening, and finding the goal you already share,” said Huffman.

That shared goal is protecting franchise small businesses and the jobs they support. This is a mission that resonates on both sides of the aisle regardless of political affiliation. Huffman pointed to his own experience building Celebree from a single Ellicott City preschool in 1994 into a multi-state early childhood education franchise as proof that the franchise model is, at its core, a small business and workforce story that elected officials of any party can rally around.

Momentum for the American Franchise Act
The bill has advanced through the House Education and Workforce Committee with broad bipartisan support and companion Senate legislation. Momentum grew further during the Summit when a White House official announced the Trump Administration’s full support for the Act, a moment IFA leadership called a powerful signal that the industry’s push for certainty is within reach.

Relationships Over Rhetoric
For Huffman, the Summit reinforced a philosophy he’s carried since founding Celebree that advocacy is a long game built on trust, not a single ask. He encouraged fellow franchise leaders in the room to treat every meeting with a member of Congress as the start of an ongoing relationship rather than a transaction.

“Lawmakers remember the people who come back, who follow up, who are honest about what’s working and what isn’t,” added Huffman. “That’s how you build the kind of trust that turns into a vote.”

Huffman’s appearance also builds on his growing record of public service and advocacy. He was recently appointed by Maryland Governor Wes Moore to a five-year term on the Maryland Higher Education Commission. Celebree has also been recognized by the IFA for its commitment to responsible franchising, most notably as the inaugural recipient of the organization’s Emerging Franchisor Award.

Looking Ahead
With the American Franchise Act now awaiting a full House floor vote, Huffman and other franchise leaders left Washington with a clear next step to keep the relationships they built at the Summit alive. As Huffman told fellow attendees, the work of advocacy doesn’t end when the Summit does. It continues every time a franchise owner picks up the phone, sends a follow-up note, or invites a member of Congress to visit their business back home.
