$180 Million, 77,000 Acre Iconic Texas Ranch Listed to Sell

Published

Historic 77,721-acre Texas Panhandle water oasis -Turkey Track Ranch reemerges and returns to market following recovery from the Smokehouse Creek Fire, the largest wildfire in recorded Texas history.

DALLAS, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Icon Global announces the return to market of Turkey Track Ranch, one of America’s great legacy ranches, at $180 million, including a 25% mineral stake. Spanning nearly 80,000 acres under one fence, the Texas Panhandle legacy ranch brings together significant water resources and more than a century of Coble and Whittenburg family ownership.

The ranch was withdrawn from the market following the February 2024 Smokehouse Creek Fire, which burned approximately 60% (46,000 +- acres) of the property’s range land. Recorded as the largest wildfire in Texas history and burning over one million acres to the township of Canadian and into Western Oklahoma, the fire was responsible for the killing of thousands of head of livestock, two human fatalities and the destruction of approximately 500 buildings. The fire began when a fallen utility pole adjacent to the Turkey Track Ranch boundary brought down live power lines.

The sellers were at the time in sale negotiations. Turkey Track was withdrawn from the market and given time to recover before being offered again. The land has come back with renewed strength and vigor, including robust regrowth of native vegetation, pastures and wildlife. Approximately 65 miles of new fencing have been installed and the cattle operation again in full swing. The managers of the ownership shareholders recently voted to resume public marketing and proceed with the sale of the ranch.

Water is central to the property. Stretching from Caprock country to the Canadian River, the ranch includes high mesas, open range, sheltered draws and river bottoms. Its water resources include approximately 26 miles of Canadian River frontage, eight major creek basins and natural springs, with the Ogallala Aquifer beneath the land. Across the property, 64 water wells serve livestock and wildlife, while five irrigation pivots cover 838 acres.

During the drought of the 1950s, the family began building earthen dams to slow runoff and protect the soil. That conservation work continued over decades. In 2016, Turkey Track was named a regional honoree of the Environmental Stewardship Award Program for its land and water management.

Icon Global founder Bernard Uechtritz stated, “I have represented some of the great ranches of the American West, and Turkey Track belongs in their company. The water here is extraordinary, the legacy and history incredible. It is a best in class, and rarity both. Available legacy ranches with this scale, production, recreation and history are today few and far between, scarce anywhere in the American West. Nearly 80,000 acres under one fence, a 25 percent mineral stake and more than a century of family ownership make this a very rare offering. This is a ranch you buy with the next hundred years in mind.”

The ranch encompasses the Adobe Walls battle sites of 1864 and 1874. Its brand dates to 1878, and W. T. Coble acquired the original headquarters in 1916. More than a century of Coble and Whittenburg ownership has carried that history into the present offering.

The 77,721± acre holding returns as a rare opportunity to own a landmark of American ranching and to shape its future over generations to come.

Turkey Track Ranch is offered exclusively through Icon Global. For property information, photographs and viewing arrangements, visit Turkey Track or contact 214.855.4000.

Honda Explores Robotics Solution to Support Research Aboard Future Commercial Space Stations

Published

Honda multi-fingered robotic hand combined with Redwire STAARK robotic arm could automate experiment handling and other research operations in orbitRobotics solution aims to increase research capacity while reducing crew time for lab tasks Honda and Redwire to meet with commercial station developers and prospective partners at the 2026 International Astronautical Congress

TORRANCE, Calif., Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Honda today announced efforts to develop a robotics solution for future commercial space stations that could reduce the time needed for astronauts to conduct experiments and laboratory operations in space. To advance its space station robotics concept, the U.S.-based Honda space development team is engaging with experts at Redwire (NYSE:RDW), a global leader in space and defense technology solutions. The concept would combine the Honda multi-fingered robotic hand with Redwire’s STAARK robotic arm and experiment locker technology into an integrated system for research operations in orbit.

As NASA transitions from the International Space Station (ISS) to commercially operated stations in low Earth orbit, station developers are evaluating how research and routine laboratory activities will be performed in this new operating environment. Future commercial stations are being designed around smaller crews and shorter astronaut stays, increasing the need for automation to support station operations and scientific investigations while reducing demands on crew time.

Dexterous Robotics for In-Orbit Research

Many research activities conducted in orbit require astronauts to retrieve experiments, transfer samples, operate laboratory equipment, and move materials between workstations. These routine tasks consume valuable crew time aboard today’s space stations. A robotic system capable of performing these activities could help reduce operational costs while enabling greater use of research facilities and supporting more scientific and commercial research.

Over decades of development, Honda has advanced robotics technologies capable of performing tasks that require human-like dexterity and is now exploring their applications for future space operations. The Honda multi-fingered robotic hand combines actively controlled joints with force and tactile sensing throughout the fingertips and palm, enabling precise contact detection and delicate manipulation. Its design is flexible enough for precise laboratory work, including handling research samples, manipulating small objects, and operating laboratory equipment. The Honda multi-fingered robotic hand has also completed extensive durability testing under varied fingertip loads, demonstrating a practical combination of dexterity, power and durability.

“Honda space initiatives, including our robotic hand, are focused on enabling practical operations in orbit,” said Tom Sladek, chief engineer, Space Development Division, Honda Development & Manufacturing of America, LLC. “Working with Redwire, Honda is evaluating how robotics with human-like dexterity could support research activities aboard the next generation of commercial space stations, helping crews accomplish more in an environment with fewer personnel while improving operational efficiency.”

With eight facilities currently on the ISS, Redwire has decades of experience on the ISS developing facilities hardware, as well as operating science and technology experiments. Additionally, Redwire has extensive space robotics expertise with STAARK, an affordable, modular, and easily customized robotic system designed for various on-orbit robotics applications. Recent testing successfully demonstrated that the STAARK robotic arm is capable of autonomously tracking and grasping dynamic objects, providing the reach and positioning capability needed to move equipment and access work throughout a station.

“Redwire is excited to explore opportunities with Honda that leverage our proven track record and expertise in robotics and in-space manufacturing technology development to advance the next generation of commercial research in orbit,” said Shawn Buckley, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Redwire Space. “Commercial space stations will transform Low-Earth orbit, and advanced space robotics are critical in enabling technologies that will help us unlock the value for our customers.”

Together, the technologies could support the full experiment workflow, combining Redwire’s robotic reach and station infrastructure with the Honda multi-fingered robotic hand, capable of precise manipulation and adaptable grasping across a wide range of objects and tasks. Such an integrated system has the potential to automate portions of the research workflow, ranging from sample handling and materials transfer to equipment operation and laboratory support tasks. Additional applications may include inventory management, cargo movement, inspection activities, and other station support functions.

Partner Discussions at IAC 2026

Honda and Redwire representatives will attend the International Astronautical Congress (IAC), October 5-9, 2026, in Antalya, Türkiye to discuss potential applications for the combined robotics solution with commercial station developers and prospective industry partners. Organizations interested in learning more about the concept or scheduling a meeting at IAC may contact Space@na.honda.com.

DeFi Technologies Provides September Corporate Update: Valour Reports $640.2 Million in AUM, Up 61.2% from Q2 End

Published

on

By

AUM growth: Valour reported $640.2 million in assets under management as of September 25, 2026, up approximately $243 million, or 61.2%, from $397.2 million at June 30, 2026.
Continued investor demand: Valour continues to see net inflows month over month. Higher AUM expands the asset base available to generate fee and yield income, while trading activity creates additional revenue opportunities. Inflow figures will be provided with the Company’s quarterly financial results.
Expansion into actively managed funds: Valour launched Valour Funds SPC and its first hedge fund, Smart Crypto Fund SP, while continuing development of additional fund structures, Valour Custody and its UCITS platform.
Balance sheet strength: As of June 30, 2026, DeFi Technologies held approximately $135 million across cash, stablecoins, STRC/RWUSD, treasury investments, and its venture portfolio, with no debt, providing financial flexibility to support operations and invest in growth.

TORONTO, Oct. 1, 2026 /CNW/ — DeFi Technologies Inc. (the “Company” or “DeFi Technologies”) (Nasdaq: DEFT) (CBOE CA: DEFI) (GR: R9B) (B3: DEFT31), a financial technology company bridging the gap between traditional capital markets and decentralized finance (“DeFi“),) today provided its September corporate update, highlighting growth in assets under management (“AUM”), continued net inflows and increased trading activity at Valour, its asset management business.

Valour reported assets under management of $640.2 million as of September 25, 2026, up from $397.2 million on June 30, 2026. This represents an increase of $243 million, or approximately 61.2%, since the end of the second quarter. AUM was also approximately 64% above its cycle low of around $390 million.

Valour continues to see month-over-month net inflows. These inflows add investor capital to the platform, while higher AUM provides a larger base from which Valour can generate revenue. The Company will provide inflow figures with its quarterly financial results.

How Valour Turns Growth Into Revenue

Valour’s revenue model connects asset growth with trading activity. Rising digital asset prices increase the value of assets held in its products and can encourage more trading and new investor inflows. Those inflows add to AUM, creating a larger base from which Valour can generate revenue.

Valour monetizes that activity in three main ways:

Management fees: Applicable products earn fees based on the assets they hold.Staking and lending income: Eligible digital assets can generate staking or lending income, where permitted by the relevant product structure.Trading flow: Market making and trading related to Valour’s products create additional revenue opportunities as investors buy and sell.

The flywheel is straightforward: rising asset values and net inflows expand AUM, while greater trading activity creates more opportunities to earn revenue.

As revenue grows, costs do not necessarily increase at the same pace, creating the potential for higher margins. The outcome depends on product mix, fee levels, staking yields, trading conditions, and operating costs.

With reported AUM of $640 million as of September 25, 2026, up 61.2% from $397.2 million at June 30, 2026, Valour has a larger asset base to monetize through this model.

Valour’s Top 10 Digital Assets by AUM

As of September 25, 2026, Valour’s ten largest digital assets by associated product AUM were:

Digital asset

AUM (US$ millions)

Bitcoin (BTC)

157.51

Ethereum (ETH)

65.59

These ten assets accounted for approximately 89.8% of Valour’s total reported AUM.

Figures aggregate AUM across products referencing each asset, including yield-bearing, leveraged and short products where applicable. They represent product AUM, rather than net underlying asset exposure, and exclude look-through allocations from multi-asset basket products.

Valour Funds and Smart Crypto Fund SP

On September 21, 2026, Valour announced the launch of Valour Funds SPC and Smart Crypto Fund SP, its first hedge fund for professional and qualified investors.

Smart Crypto Fund SP combines Valour’s infrastructure with a strategy developed and managed by Neuronomics AG, a Swiss portfolio manager in which DeFi Technologies holds a minority interest. The fund is the first hedge fund portfolio within Valour Funds SPC, a Cayman Islands company registered with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority.

Neuronomics’ AI models assess price, volume and other market data to guide allocations across liquid digital assets. The strategy can adjust positions as conditions change and seeks to reduce exposure when signals weaken or assessed risk increases. Position sizes are subject to risk budgets, concentration limits and portfolio exposure controls.

This expands Valour’s offering to include an actively managed strategy alongside its exchange traded products.

Additional Fund Structures, Custody and Platform Development

The Company continues to develop additional fund structures and investment strategies, with Smart Crypto Fund SP representing the first of several planned hedge funds under Valour Funds.

These offerings are intended for distribution through fund platforms and direct institutional relationships, with international marketing subject to applicable local requirements. They create an additional channel for reaching professional investors beyond Valour’s exchange-listed ETPs.

The Company continues development work on Valour Custody and a proposed UCITS platform, consistent with its previously disclosed priorities. These initiatives remain subject to development requirements and applicable regulatory processes and approvals. They are intended to strengthen the infrastructure supporting Valour’s business and broaden the investment solutions available to clients.

Further details will be announced as development and applicable regulatory processes progress.

Balance Sheet

As reported in its Q2 2026 financial results, DeFi Technologies held approximately $135 million across cash, stablecoins, treasury investments and its venture portfolio with no debt as of June 30, 2026. This comprised $70.7 million in combined cash and USDT/USDC, $19.1 million in STRC/RWUSD holdings, $30.0 million in digital asset treasury holdings and $15.1 million in venture and private investments. These resources provided financial flexibility to support the Company’s existing operations, invest in new products and infrastructure, and pursue strategic opportunities.

Management Commentary

“AUM has increased by approximately $243 million from the end of June, and we continue to see net inflows month over month,” said Johan Wattenström, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of DeFi Technologies. “That gives us a larger asset base from which to earn fees and yield, while trading activity creates additional revenue opportunities. Our focus is on converting that growth into stronger business results.

“At the same time, we are broadening the business. Smart Crypto Fund is our first step into actively managed hedge funds, with additional fund structures, custody and a proposed UCITS platform under development. These initiatives are intended to give us more ways to serve investors and build revenue alongside our established ETP business.”

Nasdaq Minimum Bid Price Compliance Update

The Company reaffirms the additional compliance period announced on September 3, 2026. Nasdaq granted DeFi Technologies a further 180 calendar days, through March 1, 2027, to address the minimum bid price deficiency under Listing Rule 5550(a)(2).

The extension itself did not change the listing or trading of the Company’s common shares on the Nasdaq Capital Market under “DEFT.”

As outlined in that announcement, regaining compliance requires a closing bid price of at least US$1.00 per share for a minimum of ten consecutive business days during the extension, followed by written confirmation from Nasdaq.

The Company remains focused on addressing the deficiency and intends to monitor its bid price and evaluate available options. The extension does not constitute restored compliance, and there is no assurance that the Company will regain compliance within the allotted period or maintain all continued listing requirements.
