BC Partners Credit Announces Initial Investment in LIV Golf, Marking the Next Step Toward a Financially Strong, Team-Focused Golf League

Published

on

NEW YORK, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — BC Partners Credit, the credit arm of BC Partners, today announced an initial committed investment in LIV Golf by funds advised on its platform. This investment is the first part of a targeted $300 million in cumulative financing to help LIV Golf emerge from its restructuring as a fiscally strong, sustainable, team-focused golf league that complements the existing professional tours and contributes to the long-term potential of the sport. The next phase of LIV Golf, or LIV Golf 2.0, will feature players participating as equity owners of both the League and the teams—providing players with a direct stake in the League’s success.

“Our goal is to facilitate LIV Golf’s emergence from the restructuring process on sound financial footing and with renewed momentum heading into the 2027 season,” said Ted Goldthorpe, Partner and Head of BC Partners Credit. “Just as importantly, we want the players who make this league what it is to share in what they help build. Giving players real and actionable ownership in the League and the teams is a unique opportunity in professional golf, and it aligns everyone around the long-term success of the product for the game and for the fans.”

A Complementary Role in the Global Game

BC Partners Credit believes LIV Golf’s team-based format offers a distinct and valuable experience that can complement and strengthen the broader golf ecosystem. BC Partners Credit looks forward to working constructively with tours and golf organizations around the world to build the game and create new opportunities for players and fans.

Building from the Ground Up

A central part of the vision for the next phase of LIV Golf is a commitment to grassroots efforts alongside nations, cities, and golf’s governing bodies. As part of this next phase, LIV Golf will aim to build on the League’s foundation and expand local programs that introduce new players to the game, support communities, and create pathways for the next generation of golfers and fans.

Players as Owners

A key feature of the next phase of LIV Golf is player ownership. Players will be equity owners of the League and the teams, providing them with a meaningful stake in the League’s growth and a direct voice in building its future. BC Partners Credit believes this unique structure will attract and retain top talent, strengthen team identity, and align the long-term interests of players, owners, and fans.

A Welcome to Players

BC Partners Credit welcomes current and prospective LIV Golf players who share the vision for the League’s next chapter. Whether joining or continuing with LIV Golf, players who choose to be part of LIV Golf 2.0 will have the opportunity to participate not just as competitors, but as owners and partners with a meaningful stake in building a stronger, more sustainable team-focused golf league.

“We are excited about what this next phase can mean for the players who compete in the League,” said Mr. Goldthorpe. “We invite those who want to help build a strong, sustainable, team golf league to join us.”

The financing by funds advised on the BC Partners Credit platform is subject to Bankruptcy Court approval and customary conditions.

Growing Enthusiasm Ahead of TEI 2026, Buyers from 113 Countries and 1,500 Exhibitors Ready to Participate

JAKARTA, Indonesia, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The 41st Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2026 has attracted strong interest from international buyers and Indonesian business players. As of 29 September 2026, buyers from 113 countries have registered to attend TEI 2026. Meanwhile, as of 25 September 2026, a total of 1,533 Indonesian business players, including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), have registered as exhibitors.

TEI 2026 will take place from 14 to 18 October 2026 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang Regency, Banten. Director General of National Export Development at the Ministry of Trade, Fajarini Puntodewi, said that the Ministry of Trade is positioning TEI 2026 as a strategic platform to connect Indonesian products and businesses with global markets.

“The number of countries represented by registered buyers, along with the strong participation of local exhibitors, demonstrates the high interest of international and Indonesian business players in meeting through a business-to-business (B2B) platform. We hope TEI 2026 will further open opportunities for Indonesian businesses to enter global markets, explore new markets, and expand their business networks,” said Puntodewi following the 41st TEI Technical Meeting Press Conference at ICE BSD City, Tangerang, Banten, on Wednesday (30 September).

Puntodewi noted that the largest number of foreign buyers came from India, followed by China, Nigeria, Malaysia, and Egypt. The strong participation of these buyers is supported by the active role of Indonesian Embassies, Consulates General, and Indonesian trade representatives in expanding networks and identifying potential buyers from various countries.

Meanwhile, local exhibitors are distributed across five product zones. The Food, Beverage, and Agriculture Products Zone features 754 exhibitors; Fashion and Handicraft, 448 exhibitors; and Manufactured Products and Services, 183 exhibitors. The Furniture and Home Decor Zone features 85 exhibitors, while the Industrial Estate Zone features 63 exhibitors.

“The composition of exhibitors reflects the diversity of products and services that Indonesia has to offer international buyers. Through these product zones, we aim to make it easier for international buyers to identify products that meet their needs. This will enable more targeted business discussions between buyers and Indonesian exhibitors,” said Puntodewi.

Under the theme “The Ultimate Hub for Global Sourcing,” TEI 2026 will occupy an exhibition area of 16,656 square meters. TEI 2026 is targeting potential transactions of USD 17.5 billion, with approximately 1,500 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors. The event is also designed to create opportunities for investment and business partnerships.

Puntodewi explained that, to support the achievement of these targets, the Ministry of Trade has conducted a series of pre-event activities since March 2026. These activities include exhibitor recruitment and curation, buyer sourcing, the distribution of exhibitor profiles to Indonesian trade representatives overseas, business matching, and a CEO Gathering.

“As of 21 September 2026, 17 business pitching sessions and business matching preparations have been conducted, involving 17 Indonesian missions and trade representatives overseas. These activities consisted of 12 sessions in August 2026 and five sessions in September 2026,” said Puntodewi.

During the event, TEI 2026 will feature an exhibition of Indonesian export products, business counseling, business matching, business forums, the signing of memorandum of understanding (MoUs), trade agreements, investment commitments, and the Media Award.

TEI 2026 will also serve as an opportunity to strengthen economic relations with partner countries. The Ministry of Trade will facilitate visits by ministers from partner countries. In addition, invitation requests have been received from Zimbabwe, Russia, Uzbekistan, the United Kingdom, and Serbia.

TEI is not financed through the State Budget (APBN). Instead, its revenue comes from participation fees and sponsorships managed by the Professional Event Organizer (PEO). The PEO is also responsible for participant curation to ensure that participating business players have the readiness and capacity to enter international markets, including in terms of production, management, and export capabilities.

Also attending the press conference was Zelda Wulan Kartika, Senior Advisor for Economic Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She highlighted the role of Indonesian representatives overseas, including Indonesian Embassies, Consulates General, Trade Attachés, and Indonesia Trade Promotion Centers (ITPCs), in expanding trade networks while identifying and curating potential buyers. Buyers are then matched with Indonesian businesses based on their needs and potential areas for cooperation through various activities, including business matching, business forums, and site visits.

“We continue to bridge Indonesian businesses with international markets through the network of Indonesian representatives overseas. Our efforts range from providing information on market opportunities and promoting Indonesian products to connecting businesses with

suitable buyers. This synergy is part of our efforts to expand market access and encourage more Indonesian products to enter global markets,” said Zelda.

President Director of PT Debindomulti Adhiswasti, Vibiadhi Swasti Pradana, also attended the press conference. For TEI 2026, PT Debindomulti Adhiswasti serves as the Professional Event Organizer (PEO). Vibiadhi added that TEI 2026 is supported through collaboration with more than 154 local and international media outlets. Collaborative promotional efforts have also been carried out with international trade events in Russia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Australia.

In addition, the PEO has prepared facilities to support the participation of potential buyers and facilitate transaction opportunities at TEI 2026. More than 200 rooms have been prepared for buyers who have undergone the business-matching process and demonstrated transaction or partnership potential with Indonesian businesses.

“These facilities are part of the organizer’s efforts to support the business process, from connecting buyers with Indonesian businesses to facilitating potential transactions during TEI 2026,” added Vibiadhi.

TEI 2026 is supported by Pertamina as a strategic partner, Bank Mandiri as the banking partner, and the Badan Pengelola Dana Perkebunan (BPDP). TEI 2026 also receives support from several institutions and organizations, including the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN Indonesia) and the Indonesia Eximbank (LPEI).

University of Phoenix Debuts New Locked-In Pricing Guarantee, Building on Nearly a Decade of Price Certainty and Transparency

New students will know their full per-course cost before they enroll and keep it through program completion; current enrolled students’ tuition remains locked under the University’s long-standing Tuition Guarantee

PHOENIX, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — University of Phoenix today announced its Locked-In Pricing Guarantee, which gives new students one price per course, covering both tuition and the resource fee, locked from enrollment through completion in their enrolled program. The guarantee builds on the Tuition Guarantee the University introduced in 2018, which has locked tuition for enrolled students for nearly a decade.

The guarantee takes effect with the University’s updated pricing on Nov. 2, 2026. For new students, tuition will increase 7% and the resource fee will increase $10 per course, presented as a single all-in, locked-in price per course. For current students’ their tuition in their enrolled program remains unchanged under the Tuition Guarantee; and their resource fee will increase $10 per course, its first increase in nearly a decade. [Active-duty military graduate tuition rates will update Jan. 4, 2027.]

The price update responds to rising operating costs and expands students’ access to learning technologies, including Microsoft® Copilot® through each student’s Microsoft 365® account.

“Price transparency should be the norm in higher education. At University of Phoenix, it has been our practice for nearly a decade,” said Chris Lynne, president, University of Phoenix. “When we update pricing, we do it the way we always have— in plain terms, published in advance and with a price students can count on. The Locked-In Pricing Guarantee takes that commitment further. New students will see one all-in price before they enroll, and it’s the price they keep through program completion. Working adults value knowing the full cost, up front, so they can plan for it, without surprises, and finish what they started while living their busy, full lives.”

One price, known up front, kept through graduation
Under the Locked-In Pricing Guarantee, before enrolling, new students will see one all-in per-course price for tuition and resource fees for their enrolled program. That price includes tuition and the resource fee, which covers course electronic textbooks and materials, support resources, and AI tools, so students aren’t left to add up separate charges to understand what a course will cost. It’s one price, all-in and locked. The price stays the same from their first course through the completion date of their enrolled program, giving students a fixed number to plan around for the length of their degree.

Current and upcoming tuition and fees are published in the University’s Academic Catalog, in each student’s web account and at phoenix.edu.

Students are asking for certainty and transparency
The University’s approach aligns with what students and families say they want. In The Price Transparency Imperative, an April 2026 report from Strada Education Foundation based on a nationally representative survey of more than 5,000 people, the top-ranked affordability solutions were cost transparency (68%) and a price guarantee (65%), and 62% also prioritized a single, all-in price. Among prospective adult learners, cost and affordability were the most-cited factors in choosing where to enroll.

Preparing students for work in the age of AI
The resource fee includes course electronic textbooks and materials, Microsoft 365®, access to Microsoft® Copilot® and AI learning resources, the University Library, virtual tutoring, the Centers for Math and Writing Excellence and virtual science labs. Students also receive guidance on responsible AI use through the University’s Center for AI Resources. The University recently published a white paper about its approach to AI implementation, detailing the AI pillars framework and resources for students.

“Employers increasingly expect people to use AI well, and our students are building that capability while they learn,” said John Woods, Ph.D., provost and chief academic officer of University of Phoenix. “Putting these tools in courses helps students study more efficiently and practice the skills they’re already being asked to use at work.”

Ways to lower the cost of a degree
A locked price tells students what each course will cost. The University also helps students potentially reduce how many courses they need to take. Over the past eight years, University of Phoenix has applied more than 7 million transfer credits, helping students save an estimated $3 billion in tuition and fees by avoiding repeated coursework.

Other ways eligible students can reduce the time and cost of a degree include:

Credit for prior learning (CPL). Students may earn credit for relevant learning and experience through Prior Learning Assessment, national testing programs and military service. In fiscal year 2024–2025, students whose degree programs included CPL saved an average of $5,408 in tuition.Alternative credit providers. Eligible students can complete coursework through an alternative credit provider such as Study.com or StraighterLine that may count toward degree requirements.Scholarships. The Transfer Student Scholarship provides up to $3,000, applied over 20 courses, for qualified new bachelor’s degree students who transfer 12 to 60 credits and maintain eligibility requirements. The University’s Scholarships and Savings Guide helps students find additional opportunities.Employer tuition benefits. Upgrade skills and pursue a degree with the support of one’s employer through the University’s flexible education options for employees and members of 2,300+ organizations in healthcare, information technology, retail, financial services and many other industries.Savings Explorer®. Prospective students can use this tool to explore options based on their experience and see what students with similar backgrounds have saved.

Full tuition and fee information and program completion deadlines are available in the University’s Academic Catalog and at phoenix.edu.
