Software‑driven upgrades to increase range and efficiency

PORTSMOUTH, R.I., Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Raytheon, an RTX (NYSE: RTX) business, has been awarded a contract from the Office of Naval Research (ONR) to develop advanced target‑detection capabilities for naval radar systems.

Under the contract, Raytheon’s Advanced Technology team will develop and evaluate advanced signal and data-processing algorithms and integrate targeted software upgrades to significantly extend detection range, increase sensitivity and improve radar-system efficiency. These enhancements will undergo rigorous laboratory and field testing to validate performance and operational use, preparing them for transition into Raytheon’s SPY‑6 family of radars and other future naval radars.

“Modernizing fielded radar systems with software-first upgrades is one of the fastest and most cost-effective ways to deliver mission-ready capability,” said Colin Whelan, president of Advanced Technology at Raytheon. “These enhancements will enable naval operators to detect smaller objects at greater distances and classify targets more quickly, providing the fleet with faster, more informed decision‑making.”

The program continues Raytheon’s extensive work in software-defined apertures and leverages knowledge gained from prior ONR initiatives, including ASPIRE and STORM, which established foundational hardware and software advancements for next-generation radar capability.

Work under this contract will be conducted at Raytheon facilities in Portsmouth, R.I., and Andover, Massachusetts, through 2031.

Raytheon is significantly expanding its engineering workforce to support critical military programs. Opportunities are available for emerging talent, experienced professionals, and veterans. Discover open roles on our website and apply today.

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — PayJoy, a leading financial services provider for underserved consumers across emerging markets, today announced the acquisition of select strategic assets of Finia AI, Inc., a fintech company that developed AI-powered underwriting and financial products for micro-businesses in Mexico.

The transaction will enable PayJoy to apply Finia’s technology and expertise to its global platform, strengthening its underwriting capabilities and expanding its financial product offering for customers with limited access to formal credit.

PayJoy has reached more than 20 million customers across nine countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia through innovative financial products including digitally secured smartphone financing, credit lines, and the PayJoy Card. This acquisition brings technology developed specifically for the needs of small and informal businesses to a platform with the scale and reach to extend those innovations across global markets.

Finia built its AI underwriting capabilities to serve micro-businesses with limited financial data and owners with little or no formal credit history. “I’m excited about the path ahead with PayJoy,” said Uri Pomerantz, founder and CEO of Finia AI. “We’ve spent years building AI underwriting and financial products to serve micro-businesses in Latin America that traditional lenders too often overlook. PayJoy’s global reach creates an opportunity to scale our technology and everything we’ve learned alongside one of the strongest teams in fintech. We share a commitment to improving customers’ financial well-being, and this transaction opens a new chapter in that work.”

“Finia has developed valuable technology and deep insights that can help address one of the fundamental challenges in financial inclusion: how to assess creditworthiness when traditional financial data is limited,” said Jose Luis Gonzalez, Head of Growth for PayJoy Mexico. “Bringing these capabilities to PayJoy will strengthen our platform, enhance how we assess risk, and broaden our product offerings. We see a meaningful opportunity to extend the impact of Finia’s work across the markets we serve.”

The West Palm Beach and Colorado Springs digital marketing agency returns to the list for the second time, with 27% three-year revenue growth driven by revenue-focused marketing systems.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — THAT Agency, a digital marketing agency with offices in West Palm Beach, Florida, and Colorado Springs, Colorado, has been named to the 2026 Inc. 5000, Inc.’s annual ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. Recognized in the Advertising, Marketing & PR category, THAT Agency posted three-year revenue growth of 27%. It is the agency’s second appearance on the list, following its first in 2019.

“Making this list in 2019 was a milestone. Making it again in 2026 tells us the growth was built to last.” Bill Teubner, CEO, THAT Agency

The Inc. 5000 recognizes independent, privately held companies based on percentage revenue growth over a three-year period.

Founded in 2004, THAT Agency works with business owners and executives to build marketing systems tied to pipeline and revenue across SEO, AI search optimization (AEO/GEO), paid advertising, content marketing, social media, and email marketing. Over the past three years, the agency has expanded its AI search optimization practice, grown its Colorado Springs office and increased team size and efficiency.

“Inc. measures growth by the numbers, and so do our clients,” said Bill Teubner, CEO of THAT Agency. “Every engagement starts with a simple question: what does this need to do for the business? Making this list in 2019 was a milestone. Making it again in 2026 tells us the growth was built to last. It came from clients who could see their marketing working in their pipeline and kept investing in it. This recognition belongs to them, and to the team that delivers for them every day.”

“The marketing landscape has changed more in the last three years than in the decade before it,” said Michelle Teubner, President of THAT Agency. “AI search, rising media costs, and tighter budgets raised the bar for accountability. We built our team and our reporting around that reality. Being named to the Inc. 5000 tells us the approach is working, for our clients first and for us as a result.”
