UK pathology provider Diagnexia chooses Sectra to speed up pathology reporting for the NHS

Published

on

LINKÖPING, Sweden, Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — International medical imaging IT and cybersecurity company Sectra (STO: SECT B) has signed an agreement with Diagnexia in the UK to deliver its service for advanced share and collaborate workflows. Diagnexia will now be able to receive, send and report on pathology cases digitally from NHS organisations that need support from external specialists. This supports the development of national telepathology networks in the UK and widens access to specialist expertise for patients.

“UK pathology has spent a decade building digital capability one site at a time. Sectra has already done the connecting work across more than 500 institutions in radiology. Joining that network means the groundwork is done before the conversation starts,” says Donal O’Shea, Chief Executive Officer at Diagnexia.

Diagnexia is a UK provider of digital pathology services and a diagnostic partner to more than 30 NHS organizations. It gives NHS services access to over 250 GMC-registered specialist pathologists for routine, urgent and specialist cases, backlog clearance and MDT attendance. Its services integrate directly with Trusts’ existing LIS and PACS. Diagnexia runs a UKAS-accredited (ISO 15189:2022) histology laboratory in Oxford and digital accessioning facilities in Oxford and Exeter, both registered with the CQC.

The service, Sectra Image Exchange Portal (Sectra IEP), is a cloud-based, vendor-neutral platform for exchanging and collaborating around medical images. It is already used by more than 500 institutions, mainly within radiology. Following a substantial modernization, healthcare providers can now use the service for advanced workflows. It is also open to specialties other than radiology, and customers can go beyond image sharing to manage workflows between organisations.

“Every new connection strengthens the network, and with Diagnexia now joining IEP, a national telepathology network is rapidly becoming reality. For hospitals already connected to IEP, the benefit is immediate: Diagnexia’s reporting capacity is now accessible through the same connection and workflows they use today. No new integration, no separate supplier onboarding, and no additional infrastructure. Hospitals can quickly tap into specialist expertise and additional reporting capacity from Diagnexia, helping them manage demand and reduce reporting backlogs,” says Jane Rendall, Managing Director for Sectra UK and Ireland.

The contract was signed in the second quarter of Sectra’s 2026/2027 fiscal year and renews annually, covering up to 100,000 cases in the first year.

NHS pathology services are handling growing case volumes with a limited number of reporting consultants, and increasing subspecialisation means the pathologist best suited to a case is often at another organisation. Sending work to external capacity providers today typically relies on bespoke arrangements between individual laboratories, including the transportation of physical glass slides. This slows reporting times and creates administrative overhead for both the sending and receiving laboratories. With Sectra’s service, a case can be created as a job directly from a laboratory’s worklist, delegated to a receiving organisation, and the completed report returned to the referring organisation’s own records.

A Documentary Spotlights HEI’s Multinational Building Journey at Saudi Arabia’s Nairyah 2 Project

Published

DAMMAM, Saudi Arabia, Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Against the sweltering Saudi desert where temperatures soar up to 50°C, Harbin Electric International (HEI) is delivering the landmark Nairyah 2 combined‑cycle power plant, an important project for the significant initiative of Saudi Vision 2030. A newly‑released documentary tells the inspiring human stories behind this 1890‑megawatt energy mega‑project, capturing how cross‑border collaborators turn harsh wilderness into a source of clean electricity for local communities.

Built on a remote desert wasteland with limited mobile connectivity at early construction stages, the project faces stacked obstacles: extreme heat, frequent sandstorms, tight construction timelines and complex technical requirements for high‑end Siemens H‑class power equipment. What makes Nairyah 2 truly distinctive is its multinational workforce, drawing engineers and workers from more than 13 countries across Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Language gaps and cultural differences once stood as major barriers, yet HEI’s project team has bridged these divides through open communication, shared goals and genuine mutual respect.

On‑site meetings gather experts of diverse backgrounds to brainstorm technical solutions. Beyond work, casual football matches, group activities and shared project branding build genuine bonds. Colleagues from Spain, South Korea, Pakistan and Saudi regard the project site as more than a workplace: they have built a big, multicultural family far away from home.

This high‑end facility adopts an energy cycle technology to cut fuel consumption and carbon emissions, setting benchmark performance for global power generation. More than a power plant, HEI fosters inclusive project culture, empowering young professionals from around the world to work together seamlessly.

One power station provides reliable power for decades ahead; one united team links hearts across borders. Through sweat, understanding and joint dedication, HEI’s diverse builders are bringing light to the Saudi land, writing a vivid chapter of international energy cooperation.

Building a Broader Multi-Asset Platform

The addition of stock services adds to the exchange’s growing range of products across traditional and digital markets. Alongside crypto spot and derivatives trading, Bybit offers access to traditional markets through its MT5 platform, tokenized equities and TradFi perpetuals.

Trinasolar Introduces Latest PV and Energy Storage Solutions in Vietnam

Published

on

By

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam, Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Trinasolar, a global leader in smart PV and energy storage solutions, introduced its Vertex N G3 TOPCon 3.0 solar modules, with a power output of up to 760W, and Trina Storage’s 6.25MWh Elementa 3 battery energy storage system (BESS) at its recent event in Ho Chi Minh City. The offerings expand Trina’s PV and energy storage portfolio in Vietnam as industrial growth and artificial intelligence data centres (AIDCs) increase demand for electricity and flexible power supply.

The International Energy Agency projects global data centre electricity consumption to rise from approximately 485TWh in 2025 to 950TWh in 2030. Vietnam’s digital infrastructure strategy also calls for the development of AIDCs and hyperscale data centres by 2030. Vertex N G3 and Elementa 3 address the generation and storage needs associated with this growth, supporting greater use of solar electricity to meet demand from AIDCs.

Why Choose TOPCon 3.0 Solar Modules?

Vertex N G3 is built on Trinasolar’s TOPCon 3.0 cell technology and incorporates four core technological upgrades. Ultra cell platform technology increases power output and bifacial performance. Multi-cut technology and edge passivation technology reduce current losses and improve shading and hot-spot performance. Ultra-high density packaging technology improves module efficiency and energy yield.

A bifaciality of 85% ± 5% supports additional rear-side generation where site conditions allow, while the −0.26%/°C power temperature coefficient helps limit power losses in Vietnam’s hot climate. A maximum annual degradation of 0.35% from the second year onward, backed by a 30-year power warranty, provides developers with a defined basis for modelling long-term output and project revenue.

Solar and Battery Storage Applications in Vietnam

Trina Storage also presented Elementa 3, its 6.25MWh utility-scale BESS built on in-house 587Ah cells. Elementa 3 supports renewable energy integration and flexible power supply, including in grid-connected projects, as Vietnam expands solar generation to meet growing demand from industry and AIDCs.

Trinasolar’s solar-plus-storage project at Corona Resort in Phú Quốc provides a local proof point of its PV and BESS delivery capabilities. The project combines a 3MWp solar installation with a 10MWh AC-coupled BESS retrofit, demonstrating how battery storage can be added to an existing commercial solar system. Vertex N G3 and Elementa 3 extend Trina’s portfolio with higher module output and greater storage capacity per container, giving developers and EPC contractors greater flexibility in meeting project capacity and site requirements.
