Former LPL Financial technology executive to lead advisor technology, platform integration and AI development

Rodriguez will report to CEO Jason Van de Loo and join Choreo’s Charlotte-based executive leadership team

CHICAGO, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Choreo, LLC (“Choreo” or “the firm”) announced today that Gabriel Rodriguez has been named Chief Technology Officer. He will report to Chief Executive Officer Jason Van de Loo, join the firm’s executive leadership team and be based in the Charlotte, North Carolina office.

Rodriguez will build the technology foundation for Choreo’s next phase of growth, creating a connected platform that helps advisor teams deliver coordinated tax and wealth advice consistently as the firm scales. He will leverage AI to expand advisor capacity and will strengthen the planning, reporting and client engagement tools advisors use every day, supported by training that helps teams adopt them.

“Gabriel has spent his career translating the needs of wealth management professionals into technology that helps them do their jobs more effectively,” Van de Loo said. “He brings the technical depth to lead our strategy and the discipline to deliver on it. He understands the role technology plays in supporting advisors and delivering better client experience. That combination will be critical as we expand our capacity to deliver coordinated advice at the intersection of tax and wealth.”

Rodriguez brings over 20 years of industry experience. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Technology at LPL Financial, responsible for ClientWorks, the firm’s advisor workstation. Before that, he spent six years at Vanguard leading technology architecture and engineering for its U.S. intermediary business. Earlier, he led investment research systems at Wellington Management and developed investment systems at Bain Capital.

His experience spans trading, investment operations, advisor platforms and client service. He has also led AI initiatives focused on advisor productivity and technology integration for acquired firms.

Rodriguez added, “Our industry faces several inflection points simultaneously as the wave of the great wealth transfer is about to crash while some industry observers expect more than a third of financial advisors may leave the industry within the decade. However, a clear solution has emerged in artificial intelligence. But that answer isn’t without additional questions, ones that must be considered carefully, strategically and in partnership with operational leadership and advisors in every firm. I’m thrilled to join a firm that understands the importance of this approach and respects the role of technology as a partner for continued growth.”

Teachers Federal Credit Union Accelerates Strategic Branch Expansion Across New York and Florida

Published

New locations complement the credit union’s nationwide digital capabilities while strengthening member relationships and community connection

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., Oct. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Teachers Federal Credit Union, one of the nation’s largest credit unions with $9.9 billion in assets and over 472,000 members, is continuing to expand its branch network across New York and Florida, with new locations planned for Estero and Wesley Chapel, Florida, and Farmingville, New York.

With a national open charter and members across all 50 states, Teachers combines the convenience of digital banking with access to personalized financial guidance. As the credit union’s membership has grown nationwide, its physical footprint has evolved alongside it, with continued investment in its home state of New York and an increasing presence in Florida. Teachers is also identifying additional markets across the country where a branch can bring the credit union closer to its members and support its long-term mission of helping members build a strong financial foundation today, for a better tomorrow.

“Our growth is guided by how we can better serve our members and support their financial well-being,” said Brad Calhoun, President and CEO of Teachers Federal Credit Union. “Our digital capabilities make it possible for us to serve members wherever they are, while our branches provide opportunities to build personal relationships and offer guidance through the financial moments that matter most. As we continue to expand in New York, strengthen our presence in Florida, and enter new markets, we remain focused on giving members more convenient ways to connect with Teachers and access the personalized service, expertise, and support they value – wherever and whenever they need us.”

To help guide its branch strategy, Teachers partnered with global commercial real estate services firm JLL to conduct a market screening.

“Establishing our partnership with JLL was an important step in developing our approach to branch expansion. We wanted to understand where our members are, what markets are evolving, and where a physical presence could create the greatest opportunity for Teachers,” added Inna Sprague, Chief Experience Officer, Teachers Federal Credit Union. “We combined internal data with factors such as market growth, demographics, competition, and site characteristics of potential locations to develop a branch expansion strategy that aligned with member needs, market opportunity, and our broader growth goals.”

Teachers has steadily expanded its branch network in recent years, entering the Florida market with its first location in Tampa’s Westshore district in 2023 and building on that presence with branches in Naples in 2025 and Lake Mary, serving the greater Orlando region, in 2026. In New York, Teachers opened a new branch in Holbrook in 2025 and continues to invest in its Long Island footprint. The planned locations in Estero, Wesley Chapel, and Farmingville represent the next phase of that strategy, expanding access in markets where Teachers sees opportunities to serve both existing and future members.

As Teachers grows, its investment in the communities it serves grows with it. The credit union’s approach extends beyond opening branches to supporting organizations and causes that make a meaningful difference in the places where its members live and work. Through its annual Golf Tournament benefiting Children’s Miracle Network, Teachers has raised more than $3 million since 2023 to support children and families, including through partnerships with Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New York and Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Florida. Teachers also supports the American Cancer Society through Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, serving in 2026 as Presenting Sponsor on Long Island and Eastern Long Island and Silver Sponsor in Tampa Bay and Southwest Florida.
