SYDNEY, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — LG Electronics Australia (LG) has expanded its hospitality technology portfolio with Pro:Centric Hub, a built-in capability available on compatible LG Smart Hotel TVs running webOS 25 and webOS 26.

Designed for independent hotels and residential-style accommodation where a full CMS-based hotel TV solution may not be practical, Pro:Centric Hub provides essential hotel TV functionality directly through compatible LG Smart Hotel TVs, without requiring a CMS subscription or separate PMS integration. The solution was showcased as part of LG’s hospitality portfolio at NoVacancy 2026, held at ICC Sydney.

As hotel operators look to balance guest expectations with operational simplicity, properties need hotel TV experiences that can be branded and managed without adding unnecessary infrastructure or complexity. Pro:Centric Hub addresses this need by combining hotel branding, guest entertainment, app access and privacy-focused features within compatible LG Smart Hotel TVs.

With Pro:Centric Hub, hotels can customise the TV home screen with their own background images and welcome messages, creating a more branded and welcoming in-room experience. The platform can also support a curated selection of hotel-enabled applications, while allowing guests to download additional apps during their stay.1

Where the checkout function is configured and used through the built-in Hub PMS, guest credentials and downloaded apps can be cleared at checkout, returning the TV to the hotel-defined baseline for the next guest.2

Key features of LG Pro:Centric Hub include:

Hotel branding: Customisable home-screen background images and welcome messages help create a branded in-room TV experience on compatible LG Smart Hotel TVs.Guest app choice: Guests can download additional applications during their stay where supported, while the hotel’s default app lineup remains unchanged. App availability may vary by country, model, software version and hotel configuration.Entertainment content: Access to supported entertainment and content services, including LG Channels and the LG Gaming Portal, is subject to regional availability, service availability, model compatibility and hotel configuration. Available services and applications may vary by market and can change without notice.Google Cast: Built-in Google Cast enables guests to pair their personal devices using a QR code and cast content to the hotel TV, where Google Cast is supported and enabled by the hotel. Availability may vary by model, region and configuration.Privacy protection: Where checkout is processed through the built-in Hub PMS, guest-downloaded applications and credentials can be cleared at checkout, helping return the TV to its hotel-defined configuration for the next guest. Functionality may vary by model, software version, region and hotel configuration.Simple deployment: Designed to operate without a CMS subscription, separate PMS integration or a complex user interface, Pro:Centric Hub supports essential in-room hotel TV functionality for compatible LG Smart Hotel TVs.

“Not every hotel property needs or has the resources for a full CMS-based hotel TV solution,” said Chris Wilson, Sales General Manager – Information Display at LG Electronics Australia.

“Pro:Centric Hub is designed for those environments, giving hotels the ability to create a branded guest experience while offering guests more choice in entertainment and connectivity, without adding unnecessary system complexity.”

For properties requiring centralised management across multiple hotels, rooms and devices, LG Pro:Centric Cloud provides cloud-based management capabilities for compatible hotel TVs across a property or portfolio.

Together, Pro:Centric Hub and Pro:Centric Cloud support different hospitality operating models — from built-in, TV-based hotel functionality for compatible LG Smart Hotel TVs through to centralised cloud-based management across multiple properties.

1 Subject to regional availability, model compatibility and hotel configuration, where supported.

2 Checkout-based clearing requires the hotel manager or authorised hotel staff to process guest checkout through the built-in Hub PMS. Availability and operation may vary by model, software version, hotel configuration and region.

Key Insights from the Event

H.E. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of Thailand, said “I am especially pleased to welcome CNN Global Perspectives, building on the success of CNN Countdown last year…CNN Global Perspectives gives us the chance to hear different views and discuss how economic decisions affect people’s daily life. I hope today’s program will bring different perspectives together and keep the discussions grounded in practical choices.”

Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, said, “What we have at the moment is this recurring, infamous war of Russia against Ukraine, that is continuing and it’s putting pressure on refinery capacities, as you know. But since March ’26, we also have the war in the Middle East, which is also putting a huge strain on the supply and movement of oil and gas.”

Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-general of the World Trade Organization, told CNN’s Richard Quest, “Trade is facing the biggest disruptions it’s ever faced in the 80 years history of … the World Trade Organization… But at the same time, Richard, what has really surprised us is the resilience of trade.”

Grab CEO Anthony Tan, said “AI itself is not going to take your job … but who will take your job is somebody who knows and uses AI, they’re going to take your job… If you aren’t going to re-invest and self-invest and learn and embrace AI, I’m sorry, the person on your right, on your left who is embracing AI will take your job.”

Maggie Kang, Academy Award-winning Creator and Co-director of “KPop Demon Hunters”, said “We had already, you know, as a culture, kind of cemented our place in movies and TV with ‘Squid Game’ and in music with Kpop, and I saw all of that, and you know growing up where my culture wasn’t so cool, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, we’re cool now’. Maybe it’s time that we could do something cool in the animation space because Koreans have produced a lot of animation for a lot of other people, but we never really had like something that we could call our own.”

Integrated Research launches Clarion to close the gap between what employees experience and what IT can see

Clarion, IR’s first standalone SaaS product, brings employees and IT teams together in real time to answer the deceptively simple question behind a bad call: “Is it me, or the platform?”

SYDNEY, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Leading global observability software company Integrated Research (IR) (ASX: IRI) today launched Clarion, a lightweight observability solution that gives employees and IT teams proactive, real-time visibility into what is affecting their call and meeting readiness. Clarion is a standalone SaaS product built on IR’s new AI-powered platform, Iris.

Built for organizations with remote, hybrid and contact center workforces, Clarion addresses a persistent visibility gap between what an employee experiences and what IT can see. When a call drops, breaks up or simply does not work as expected, it answers the first question anyone asks: “Is it me, or the platform?”

“Workplace communications rely on a technology recipe that includes multiple devices, home and corporate networks, and communications platforms. When any one of these ingredients is deficient the entire communication experience suffers, often critically. Fixing problems such as these can be complicated and time-consuming, overwhelming the IT team,” said Ian Lowe, CEO and Managing Director of IR.

Clarion solves this by giving both employees and IT teams real-time visibility of the deficiencies impacting communications. It also provides employees a pre-call health check.

A lightweight widget on the employee desktop tells them, in plain language, what is affecting their calls and meetings. Fleet dashboards aggregate telemetry across the whole workforce, so IT teams can establish whether a problem is isolated or part of something wider. Where many monitoring tools track the network, device or platform in isolation, and only surface a problem after it has been reported, Clarion brings all these signals together in one real time view, often before a call is even affected.

For an employee, that might mean seeing that weak Wi-Fi or headset connectivity is affecting a call and acting on it without contacting IT. When support is needed, Clarion captures the technical context around the issue, giving IT a far better starting point than a ticket reporting that ‘something isn’t working.’

For IT teams, that same visibility surfaces warnings and critical issues across endpoints, exposes patterns, and allows them to drill down from a single device or connection to a problem affecting a wider group of employees.

Clarion is designed to give employees that visibility while respecting their privacy. It observes the technology supporting their work rather than the employees themselves. It does not record screens, log keystrokes, track activity or idle time, or access what is said on calls.

“Everything we have built has been about giving organizations visibility into the technology behind their most critical operations,” said Lowe. “Clarion takes that in a new direction. As a standalone, cloud-native SaaS product, it gives us a simpler way to reach more organizations and more users.”

Clarion extends IR’s enterprise observability portfolio, including Prognosis, Prognosis Elevate (observability-as-a-service), and AI Chat powered by Iris.

Clarion is available from 15 October 2026 with a 30-day free trial. For more information or to request a demonstration, visit the website.
