Sonilo Raises $11M to Build the AI-Native Audio Stack for Video

Published

on

Founded by veterans of TikTok’s AI and music teams, Sonilo is developing proprietaryAI-native music and sound models that adapt to the pacing, emotion and story of each video

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Sonilo, a generative audio company building proprietary video-native music and sound models, today announced an $11 million funding round led by B Capital, with participation from Redpoint. The funding will be used for compute infrastructure to scale model performance, go-to-market expansion across creator and developer platforms, and grow its music licensing.

At the core of Sonilo’s platform is its Sound World Model, a proprietary multimodal AI system that connects video understanding, audio generation, and temporal alignment. Rather than treating music and sound effects as isolated assets, the model reads the timing, movement, and emotional arc of a scene to generate audio that belongs to that specific story. Creators can generate a synchronized, commercially-ready soundtrack by dropping in a video, describing what they want in text, or combining both. Sonilo’s model development is built around the creator’s actual workflow rather than industry benchmarks, a philosophy the team developed over years of building recommendation and generation systems at platform scale.

“Almost every audio-generation experience starts with a text prompt. You have to describe the music you want, line it up to the exact moments in your videos, and find the perfect sound effects which can take hours for one piece of content,” said Shawn Song, CEO and Co-Founder of Sonilo. “We built Sonilo to understand the visual story. You give us the footage, and Sonilo understands what’s happening frame by frame, including the pacing, emotion, and story, and generates music and sound effects that naturally fit the scene. We believe the future of video isn’t just about generating better pictures but making those worlds feel real through audio that fits perfectly.”

Building a video-native sound workflow requires more than audio generation. It takes multimodal AI research, music licensing expertise, and products designed around how creators work. Sonilo’s founding team brings these capabilities together. CEO Shawn Song, a CMU-trained researcher and former multimodal AI tech lead at TikTok, and CTO Alex Yin, who holds a PhD in Computer Music from the University of York and worked alongside Song at TikTok, bring expertise in multimodal understanding and audio generation. COO Keli Li, who built and led global music at TikTok, brings deep experience in music licensing and industry partnerships. CMO Trista Taylor has helped incubate consumer AI apps featured in a16z’s Top 50 rankings and leads Sonilo’s product and go-to-market strategy.

“We believe generative audio will become an essential part of the AI-native video stack. Sonilo stands out because its multimodal technology gives creators two ways to generate music and sound effects: describe what they want in text, or provide a video and let the model create audio that fits the scene,” commented Daisy Cai, General Partner at B Capital. “That model-native approach, combined with Shawn’s deep expertise in multimodal music generation and the team’s focus on the creator workflow, gives Sonilo the opportunity to define a new category in generative media. We’re excited to support the team as they build the audio layer for the next generation of video.”

Sonilo’s platform generates music and sound effects directly from footage or text for short-form and short-drama creators, developer platforms building AI video workflows, and enterprise production teams. The platform also offers AI dubbing with synchronized lip-syncing, enabling short-drama and content studios to localize video across languages without manual post-production. Early distribution partners include TapNow, an AI creator aggregator, and ComfyUI.

The company is also building its commercial music infrastructure around licensed source material, with Shutterstock as an early licensing partner. Sonilo’s models are trained on licensed music datasets, with licensing fees and revenue share flowing to rights holders and artists. Sonilo is finalizing master recording and publishing deals with major rights organizations, with agreements expected to close in the coming weeks. Sonilo plans to launch a consumer app in Q4, bringing its video-to-music generation technology directly to individual creators.

About Sonilo

Sonilo builds video-native generative audio models for creators, developers, and media platforms. Its technology generates music and sound effects directly from footage or text, creating soundtracks built for each video’s story rather than pulled from a library. Sonilo is building a future where every video can have its own soundtrack, because when music truly fits a story, people don’t just watch. They feel. Sonilo is headquartered in San Francisco and backed by B Capital. Learn more at sonilo.com.

Tucuvi joins the Microsoft Pegasus Program to scale clinically governed AI Care Management across health systems

Tucuvi brings a differentiated clinical approach to conversational AI within the Microsoft Pegasus Program, extending voice AI beyond administrative interactions into clinically governed care management.

BOSTON, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Tucuvi, an AI care management company, today announced it is joining the Microsoft for Startups Pegasus Program, which connects companies to Microsoft’s enterprise customer ecosystem and go-to-market channels.

For Tucuvi, the selection comes at a pivotal moment as the company scales its platform across health systems. Through Pegasus, Tucuvi will be able to bring its clinically-governed approach to AI care management to more organizations, helping them move beyond point solutions and deploy patient-facing AI across both administrative and clinical workflows on a single platform.

Health systems and life sciences companies can contract Tucuvi directly through Microsoft Marketplace or apply that spend against the Microsoft Azure commitment they have already made to Microsoft, turning a new vendor evaluation into a purchase against budget that is already allocated, through a procurement path their organization has already approved.

The Challenge

Health systems evaluating patient-facing AI increasingly need one platform that can support both patient access, such as scheduling, navigation and referral routing, and clinical enablement, like care-gap closure, medication adherence, transitions of care, monitoring and follow-up.

These are fundamentally different problems. In access, success means getting patients to the right service. In clinical care, AI must reliably follow protocols, capture clinically relevant information, and escalate the right cases to clinicians.

Tucuvi was built from the clinical side and expanded into access. Today, more than 80 health settings run 50+ workflow types on the platform.

LOLA®, clinical voice AI, and the platform behind it

Tucuvi Health Manager is Tucuvi’s AI care management platform. At its core is LOLA®, a clinical voice AI agent that holds inbound and outbound phone conversations with patients in natural language. LOLA follows configurable clinical and administrative protocols, captures structured information, and escalates cases when human intervention is required. The platform is omnichannel, extending the same workflows to text when needed.

LOLA® integrates with Microsoft Foundry as the platform layer for deploying and monitoring the models behind LOLA’s conversational capabilities in addition to Azure Speech for the voice layer of patient conversations.

Around LOLA®, care teams can configure protocols, manage escalations, coordinate workflows, and integrate with existing EHRs, CRMs and call center systems.

The platform also provides visibility into program performance including reach, engagement, escalations and workflow outcomes so teams can monitor and adjust programs while they are live.

Health systems and payers run LOLA across workflows including:

Post-discharge follow-up and Transitional Care Management (TCM)Chronic Care Management (CCM) and monitoring check-insCare-gap closure and quality outreach, including medication adherencePharmacy operations, such as prescription refillsPatient access workflows, such as scheduling

Clinical governance and safety

Clinical governance is built into the platform. Healthcare organizations can use evidence-based protocols or configure their own, define escalation criteria and workflow actions, while care teams retain oversight of patient interactions and clinical decisions.

Tucuvi’s technology is developed to medical-device safety standards and is certified as Class IIb Software as a Medical Device in the European Union, a level of clinical validation that remains uncommon among patient-facing voice AI platforms.

“Health systems tell us they want one platform across access and clinical care, and that the clinical side is where the requirements get strict,” said María González Manso, CEO and co-founder of Tucuvi. “What they ask us is not whether the agent sounds natural. It is who defines the protocol, what happens when a patient says something that needs a clinician, and whether the same thing happens on every call. Our model was proven in clinical workflows first, across more than 80 health settings, and that is the part that does not transfer easily from a customer service platform. The Pegasus Program lets us bring it to more health systems, faster.”

“We welcome Tucuvi to the Microsoft for Startups Pegasus Program. This initiative gives select startups access to Microsoft Azure’s cutting-edge AI models, enterprise-grade security and privacy, and unique go-to-market support to accelerate growth. Through Pegasus, startups like Tucuvi can build fast, scale smart, and sell more by tapping into the full power of Azure and the Microsoft ecosystem,” said Tom Davis, General Manager, Microsoft for Startups.

About Tucuvi

Tucuvi’s model is proven across more than 80 health organizations and over 50 clinical workflows, spanning patient access, care transitions, chronic disease management, medication management and screenings. The platform is omnichannel and integrates with existing EHRs, CRMs and call center systems. Truck Accident Claims Explained In HelloNation, Featuring Personal Injury Attorney Joe Stanley

Published

The article outlines key differences between truck accident and car accident claims in New York and why liability and insurance issues are more complex.

SYRACUSE, N.Y., Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — What makes a truck accident claim more complicated than a typical car accident case? HelloNation has published an article that provides the answer, featuring insights from Personal Injury Attorney Joe Stanley of Syracuse, New York.

The HelloNation article explains that a truck accident in New York often involves more parties than a standard car accident. While a car accident usually centers on one driver, a truck accident may include the trucking company, cargo handlers, and maintenance providers. Each party can carry separate insurance coverage, making liability determination more complex and time-consuming.

The article explains that identifying liability in a truck accident case requires a deeper investigation. Commercial truck drivers must follow strict safety rules, but driver fatigue, negligence, or traffic violations can still occur. The trucking company may also be responsible if it failed to maintain the commercial truck or enforce safety protocols. These overlapping responsibilities make liability more complex than in a typical car accident.

The article notes that documentation plays a major role in these cases. Investigators often review driver logs, maintenance records, and company policies to determine the cause of the truck accident. This level of detail is rarely required in a car accident claim, where fault is often more straightforward. Personal Injury Attorneys emphasize that gathering and analyzing these records is essential to building a strong case.

Another key difference highlighted in the article is the scale of damage. A commercial truck is significantly larger than a passenger vehicle, which can lead to more severe injuries and higher property damage. As a result, truck accident claims often involve larger compensation amounts. Insurance companies may respond by challenging claims more aggressively, especially when damages are substantial.

The HelloNation article also explains how multiple insurance policies can complicate the claims process. A truck accident may trigger coverage from the driver’s insurance, the trucking company’s policy, and other involved parties. Each insurance provider may dispute liability or attempt to reduce payouts. This layered insurance structure is far less common in a car accident, where typically only one policy is involved.

Legal regulations specific to the trucking industry add another layer of complexity. The article highlights that federal and New York state rules govern driver hours, cargo loading, and commercial truck maintenance. Violations of these regulations can directly impact liability. However, proving such violations requires careful review of records and compliance data, which is not usually necessary in a standard car accident case.

The article further emphasizes that understanding these differences can help individuals navigate the legal process more effectively. Truck accident claims often take longer due to the number of parties, the complexity of liability, and the involvement of multiple insurance carriers. Personal Injury Attorneys note that this complexity underscores the importance of injured individuals fully understanding their rights and options under New York law.

By outlining these distinctions, the article provides practical guidance for those dealing with a truck accident. It reinforces that while both truck accident and car accident claims seek compensation for damages, the legal paths can differ significantly due to the involvement of commercial truck operations and regulatory oversight.

How Truck Accident Claims Differ From Car Accident Claims in New York features insights from Joe Stanley, a Personal Injury Attorney in Syracuse, New York, on HelloNation.
