Zesty Launches Automated Fractional GPUs, Bringing Automation to NVIDIA CUDA-Native GPU Fractioning

Published

on

Following NVIDIA’s open-source release of the Run:ai platform, Zesty’s new autonomous capability continuously adapts GPU memory allocation, compute sharing, and workloads placement as demand changes, enabling more workloads to run on each GPU.

SAN MATEO, Calif., Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Zesty, a leader in Kubernetes optimization, today announced support for NVIDIA’s CUDA-native GPU fractioning. Following NVIDIA’s open-source release of Run:ai as part of the NVIDIA DSX AI Factory Platform, Zesty’s Automated Fractional GPUs adds the autonomous layer that continuously decides GPU memory allocations and compute sharing modes, as well as steers workload placement as AI workload demand fluctuates. With these autonomous capabilities, teams can improve GPU utilization, run more workloads on existing infrastructure, reduce the need for excess GPU capacity, and lower infrastructure costs while protecting application performance.

66% of organizations hosting generative AI models run some or all of their inference on Kubernetes, and GPU capacity for those workloads is expensive and often constrained. Teams have traditionally allocated entire GPUs to individual workloads or shared them using time-slicing, NVIDIA Multi-Process Service (MPS), or NVIDIA Multi-Instance GPU (MIG), which divides each GPU into fixed hardware-based partitions. Allocations cannot keep pace with dynamic AI workloads and real-time changes in demand. As a result, GPU memory and compute end up stranded, and teams buy more GPUs even while existing capacity sits unused.

NVIDIA’s recent open-source release of Run:ai brings CUDA-native GPU fractioning to Kubernetes through the GPU Fractioning Operator, which enforces per-workload GPU memory limits and works with Kubernetes schedulers. The fractioning mechanism makes flexibility possible and defines how workloads can divide a GPU but does not determine how to allocate that capacity. Deciding which workloads share each GPU, how much memory each one receives, and how those allocations should change as demand rises and falls requires a separate decision layer.

Zesty provides that layer. Its Automated Fractional GPU capability continuously determines which workloads should share each GPU, how many can safely run together, how much GPU memory each one receives, which sharing mode fits each workload, and when those allocations should increase or decrease. Decisions draw on actual GPU memory usage and utilization, observed workload behavior over time, and the latency requirements and resource limits defined by teams beforehand. Every change stays within the performance and availability policies teams set for each workload.

“GPUs are among the most expensive and constrained resources infrastructure teams manage today. They’re difficult to secure, costly to add, and shared by AI workloads whose needs change constantly. Now NVIDIA has opened GPU fractioning to the ecosystem, and Zesty is making their allocation intelligent and autonomous,” said Pini Ben Nahum, VP R&D at Zesty. “Autonomous GPU Resource Management adjusts GPU memory and compute sharing while guiding workload placement as each workload’s needs rise and fall. Teams can pack more onto existing hardware, reducing new GPU purchases and the cost of running AI in production without giving up performance quality.”

The capability deploys as a lightweight agent in the Kubernetes cluster and works alongside NVIDIA Run:ai GPU Fractioning Operator and the Kubernetes scheduler, supporting both time-slicing and MPS. It requires no application code or model changes, and installation does not restart running workloads. On a supported GPU stack, Zesty manages the Kubernetes configuration needed for optimization without manual manifest changes.

Automated Fractional GPUs is available today as part of the Zesty platform. To learn more, visit http://zesty.co/platform/automated-fractional-gpus.

Why Did D-Wave Stock Drop?

According to the complaint, the truth started to emerge on August 6, 2026, when D-Wave announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2026. Then, on August 25, 2026, D-Wave issued a press release “announc[ing] that John Markovich is retiring and thus resigning from his position as Chief Financial Officer effective September 2, 2026.” On this news, D-Wave’s stock price fell $1.84 per share, or 9.51%, closing at $17.51 per share on August 26, 2026.

The Share Subdivision is intended to make the Company’s Class A ordinary shares more accessible to a broader base of investors and to enhance their trading liquidity. Subject to processing by Nasdaq, the Class A ordinary shares are expected to begin trading on a split-adjusted basis on the Nasdaq Capital Market at market open on October 26, 2026, under the Company’s existing symbol “BUUU.”

The Share Subdivision follows BUUU’s completion on September 15, 2026 of its acquisition of a 60% equity interest in Brightray Science Inc., through which the Company has established industrialized AI data center delivery as its core growth business.

Details of the Share Subdivision

Key date. The Class A ordinary shares are expected to begin trading on a split-adjusted basis on the Nasdaq Capital Market at market open on October 26, 2026.

Ratio and mechanics. As a result of the Share Subdivision, each issued Class A ordinary share and each issued Class B ordinary share will be automatically subdivided into ten shares of the same class. As a result, each shareholder will hold ten shares of the relevant class for every share held immediately before the Share Subdivision (equivalent to nine additional shares for each share held). The Class A ordinary shares will continue to trade on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the symbol “BUUU.” The new CUSIP number of the Class A ordinary shares following the Share Subdivision will be G1739L110.

Authorized and outstanding shares. Rights and ownership unchanged. The rights and restrictions attaching to each class of shares will remain unchanged, including the voting rights of one vote per Class A ordinary share and twenty votes per Class B ordinary share, and all shares of each class resulting from the Share Subdivision will rank pari passu in all respects with each other. The Share Subdivision will not change any shareholder’s percentage ownership interest or voting power in the Company. No fractional shares will result from the Share Subdivision.

No action required unless you hold physical certificates. No action is required by shareholders. Shareholders who hold Class A ordinary shares through a bank, broker or other nominee will have their positions automatically adjusted to reflect the Share Subdivision, subject to their nominee’s particular processes. The Company’s transfer agent, VStock Transfer, LLC (“VStock”), will update the holdings of registered shareholders in book-entry form. Registered shareholders holding share certificates will be asked to deliver a letter of transmittal to VStock to surrender their certificates to VStock in exchange for the right to receive post-Share Subdivision ordinary shares in electronic, book-entry form.

Outstanding securities. Proportionate adjustments will be made, to the extent provided by their respective terms, to the number of Class A ordinary shares issuable upon the exercise, conversion or settlement of, and to the exercise price or other per-share terms of, the Company’s outstanding warrants and other securities exercisable for, convertible into or settleable in Class A ordinary shares.
