Hagan joins the executive leadership team as the company expands across the U.S., the Gulf, India and Europe, and as its client relationships grow into long-term partnerships

JERSEY CITY, N.J., Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Damon A. Hagan, who most recently served as Acting Solicitor of the U.S. Department of the Interior, has joined EngineersMind as Vice President & Chief Legal and External Affairs Officer and a member of its executive leadership team, the enterprise technology company announced today. As Acting Solicitor, Hagan was the Department’s chief legal officer and principal legal adviser to the Secretary.

His arrival comes at a moment of change for EngineersMind. The company, which serves regulated industries, is expanding across the U.S., the Gulf, India and Europe, and the nature of its client relationships is shifting along with it.

Hagan will lead EngineersMind’s legal function and external affairs, including its strategic partnerships. He will work directly with clients, government bodies and partners across healthcare, insurance, financial services and the public sector, helping the company turn growing client relationships into lasting ones.

“We’re growing fast, and more of our client conversations aren’t about a single project anymore. They’re about what we can build together over years,” said Deb Misra, CEO and Founder of EngineersMind. “Damon has been on both sides of those conversations, in government and in business. He understands what each side needs, and he’s the right person to turn them into real partnerships.”

That perspective comes from a career that spans government and business. Before he was named Acting Solicitor in May 2026, Hagan served as the Department of the Interior’s Principal Deputy Solicitor. In private practice, he provided in-house counsel services to companies across multiple industries, and he has held senior roles including President of Forward Truth Media Holdings, General Counsel for Bridge Business & Property Brokers, and Vice President of Corporate and Legal Affairs for Arrow Security.

Along the way, he has built expertise in corporate structuring, commercial litigation, municipal law and contract negotiation, as well as renewable energy, grid resiliency and environmentally responsible development. Hagan earned his law degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and has been a member of the State Bars of both New York and Nevada since 2004.

For Hagan, the move is about the long view. “Regulated industries and the public sector need technology partners they can trust over the long run,” he said. “EngineersMind is building that kind of company, and I’m glad to help it build the partnerships to match.”
