Initiative with Alex Copeland will modernize SAFE’s internal operations, expand manufacturing capacity and support new skilled and high-level career opportunities.

WASHINGTON, Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — SAFE Structure Designs LLC announces a strategic partnership with Copeland Applied Systems, whose Founder, President and CEO, Alex Copeland, is heading up the initiative to advance the company’s internal operations through AI agents, intelligent automation and technologies increasingly described as Super Intelligence, or SI. The initiative is designed to strengthen SAFE’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities, support workforce growth and expand its capacity to serve United States Department of War customers and other government customers. SAFE Structure is investing in operational improvements intended to help its employees manage more demanding projects, coordinate complex requirements and deliver mission-critical equipment with greater efficiency. The company’s objective is to translate those improvements into increased manufacturing activity, additional employment opportunities and stronger support for customers.

Investing in People and Production Capacity

The initiative will focus on integrating intelligent tools into SAFE Structure’s internal workflows, including proposal development, contract administration, engineering documentation, purchasing coordination, project management, quality documentation and company knowledge management.

By reducing repetitive administrative tasks and improving access to information, SAFE intends to give its teams more time for engineering, production, problem-solving and customer service. Better coordination across these functions is expected to help the company take on additional work and support increasingly complex programs.

SAFE’s purpose for this initiative is workforce expansion rather than job reduction. As capacity and customer demand grow, the company intends to create opportunities in manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, logistics and program management, alongside high-level roles in automation, intelligent systems, robotics integration and technical leadership.

“God has blessed SAFE Structure with the opportunity to serve our country, and we give Jesus Christ the glory for the doors He continues to open,” said Johnny Buscema, President and CEO of SAFE Structure Designs LLC. “We are investing in technology to help our people accomplish more and to build a stronger company around them. Our goal is to turn greater efficiency into more American manufacturing, more skilled jobs and more high-level career opportunities. This initiative is intended to bring SAFE to a level of capability and responsiveness unprecedented in our company’s history, strengthening our support for the United States Department of War and the men and women who serve our nation.”

Strengthening Customer Support Through Intelligent Operations

For SAFE Structure’s military and government customers, the initiative is intended to improve the company’s ability to coordinate requirements, maintain project visibility and manage work from initial planning through delivery and ongoing support.

AI agents will be developed to assist employees with information retrieval, documentation and workflow coordination. SAFE’s personnel will retain responsibility for engineering judgment, quality decisions, contractual commitments and customer relationships.

The company will prioritize applications that produce practical improvements in execution. Implementation will account for the sensitivity of customer information and applicable contractual requirements, with human oversight built into the workflows.

These investments are intended to strengthen the foundation behind SAFE’s products: the people, processes and coordination required to deliver dependable mission-critical equipment.

Copeland Applied Systems Partnership Supports SAFE’s Growth Strategy

Alex Copeland, Founder, President and CEO of Copeland Applied Systems, is heading up the initiative and will work with SAFE Structure’s leadership and employees to identify operational bottlenecks, implement useful automation and develop a roadmap for continued improvement.

Copeland, son of the late Al Copeland, founder of Popeyes, brings a family legacy of entrepreneurship alongside his own work in AI, automation and robotics. His role in this initiative will focus on applying that expertise to SAFE’s operational needs and growth objectives.

“Alex’s intelligence, business acumen and ability to connect advanced technology with practical business needs are exceptional,” Buscema said. “I see in him the entrepreneurial vision and drive that helped define his family’s legacy. I feel blessed that God brought us together. Our shared purpose is to help SAFE’s people succeed, expand our manufacturing capabilities and strengthen the work we do for our country.”

Advancing American Manufacturing in the Era of Super Intelligence

SAFE Structure Designs is pursuing practical applications of Super Intelligence, or SI, and AI agents to expand American manufacturing capacity, create skilled and high-level employment opportunities, and strengthen its ability to support United States Department of War customers.

Through its partnership with Copeland Applied Systems, SAFE intends to turn operational efficiency into greater production capacity and stronger mission support. The company’s objective is to help American workers accomplish more, expand domestic engineering and manufacturing capabilities, and strengthen the nation’s defense industrial base.

The company plans to build a foundation that can accommodate advancing technologies as they mature. Beyond internal operations, the partnership will support evaluation of AI and robotics applications for SAFE equipment, guided by customer needs, technical readiness and mission requirements.
