Simfoni Showcases Procurement AI Innovation at Snowflake World Tour

CTO Alan Buxton shares how an AI-ready data foundation is accelerating procurement innovation at Snowflake World Tour

NEW YORK, Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Simfoni, a global provider of spend intelligence and procurement automation solutions, today shared how its early adoption of Snowflake Postgres is giving procurement teams an AI-ready foundation, following a presentation by Chief Technology Officer Alan Buxton at Snowflake World Tour in New York.

“Our customers don’t need to follow every development in data infrastructure. They can count on Simfoni to turn those developments into AI capabilities, helping them continuously get more value from their investment.” – Alan Buxton, Chief Technology Officer, Simfoni

Procurement AI can only act on the data it can see. Simfoni now connects day-to-day purchasing data, such as quotes, purchase orders and contracts, with its spend analytics through data mirroring. That gives Virgil, its native AI agent, a complete picture of how an organization buys. Simfoni moved two core production applications to the new foundation in about six weeks. The deployment reduced database costs by 17% compared with Simfoni’s already optimized AWS RDS setup and returns results 7% faster, so procurement teams get answers sooner. Without custom data pipelines to maintain, Simfoni’s engineers can focus more time on building new capabilities for customers.

For procurement teams, that unified foundation opens the door to new capabilities in development for Virgil S2C. Live price benchmarking will let buyers compare a quote they’ve received against similar purchases across their organization and the wider Simfoni Network, helping them assess price competitiveness and identify potential savings, faster. Automated intake-to-quote will analyze the quotes and invoices a buyer already has and identify potential new suppliers across the Simfoni Network, making buying faster and easier, while supporting compliance.

“When you’re choosing a procurement platform, look at how good it is today, and also at how fast it’s improving,” said Alan Buxton, Chief Technology Officer at Simfoni. “We build on a great platform in Snowflake and push it as far as it will go, which is why we were early adopters of Snowflake Cortex last year and of Snowflake Postgres this year. Our customers don’t need to follow every development in data infrastructure. They can count on Simfoni to turn those developments into AI capabilities, helping them continuously get more value from their investment.”

Simfoni’s pace of innovation shows in Virgil’s progress. Two years ago at Simfoni LIVE, Virgil was a vision. Last year it began handling its first tasks, and today it supports the full source-to-contract process, with new capabilities continuing to arrive.

Mili and Egnyte Partner to put Client Documents to work in Financial Advice

The partnership brings Egnyte’s secure content platform and Mili’s AI agents together, so advice firms can deliver more comprehensive, personalized advice at scale.

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Mili, an AI platform for wealth management firms, and Egnyte, a leader in secure content collaboration, intelligence, and governance, today announced a partnership that brings Mili’s AI agents to client documents in Egnyte. Advisors work from a file or a whole client folder alongside data from the firm’s CRM, portfolio and planning systems, under each advisor’s Egnyte permissions.

Kitces Research finds that reviewing client documents is the most common way advisors use AI. Its productivity research puts a new financial plan at 15 to 40 hours of team time.

Advisors use Mili’s agents to model the tax cost of moving a client’s accounts into the firm’s strategy, weigh a rebalance against unrealized gains, summarize a bonus agreement and build a financial snapshot from a statement. The agents link answers to their sources and flag what an analysis may still need.

David Ringler, Managing Director at Onyx Bridge Wealth Group ($1.6B+ AUM), said, “Egnyte and Mili are two valuable pieces of technology in our stack, and bringing them together has changed how our practice runs. Mili’s meeting prep and planning agents have become significantly better with Egnyte data behind them.”

Chirag Gandhi, Co-Founder and CEO of Mili, said, “How many clients an advice firm can serve well has long been capped. It is set by the work of understanding each client’s financial life. Agentic AI is changing that, helping advice firms uplift client capacity by accelerating the delivery of high-quality advice.”

Kyle Blair, Director of Global Financial Services at Egnyte, said, “Egnyte helps financial services firms accelerate critical business operations by turning document-heavy tasks into faster, connected, and revenue-generating workflows. Our partnership enables Mili’s AI agents to securely access and work on customer data within Egnyte for better business outcomes.”

The integration is live for mutual customers. Building on Mili’s work with hundreds of advice firms, it aims to put a firm’s full client knowledge into its advice.
