Riemann Computing Releases 13B Parameter AI Model Demo, Aims at Disrupting Model Training Costs

Riemann Computing has recently unveiled the “My Name is Riemann” Prerelease, which represents a 13-billion parameter decoder-only language model.

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Riemann Computing, a technology company formerly known as Stark Drones, has released a pre-release version of its new 13.1 billion parameter AI language model, “My Name is Riemann.” The release is part of the company’s broader work in cost-effective AI training. The company says the model is an early public build rather than a finished product. It was created by growing and fine-tuning an earlier OpenPeer AI model, and Riemann Computing plans additional training in future releases. The model is available through the OpenPeer AI org on Hugging Face under an open license. The first stage of the My Name is Riemann Prerelease was trained utilizing less than $3K worth of hardware, and about $640 worth of GPU compute on the cloud for the remaining 5 stages to get to where the prerelease was at. Riemann Computing is focused on a straightforward goal: make advanced computing less expensive and more useful. The company works across several areas, including AI models, data compression, telemetry, satellite and edge computing hardware, and programming tools for demanding technical work.

Founded in 2018, Riemann Computing originally operated as Stark Drones. Today, it describes its mission as building “paradigm shifts in computing, society, and space,” with projects aimed at improving how organizations move, store, and process data.

The new model, called My Name is Riemann, has about 13.1 billion parameters. In simple terms, parameters are the internal settings an AI model uses to learn patterns from text and generate responses. This first public version was trained on 2.16 billion tokens at its final stage, with 6.5 billion tokens used across its full training process. Riemann Computing describes it as a pre-release because the company intends to continue improving it with more training and future versions. The model is part of Riemann Computing’s OpenPeer AI family, a project the company has positioned as a way to make AI more accessible and efficient.

Riemann Computing’s website includes a Data Compression and Compute Savings Slider, an interactive tool that lets visitors estimate how much money a large organization might save by using the company’s compression and computing approaches. Users can move a slider to model monthly spending from $0 to $100 million. The tool assumes a mix of compression, telemetry, and compute costs, then estimates savings in each category.

For example, at a $50 million monthly budget, the widget estimates:

$22.5 million in compression savings$12.5 million in telemetry savings$9.8 million in compute savings$44.8 million in total monthly savings, reducing spend to $5.2 million.

The company notes that these figures are estimates based on assumptions from previous tests done internally and a mix that organizations might have towards each category.

Riemann Computing has also touted the initial development of LonScript, a programming language designed for scientific and technical computing. The company says it is built to handle complex math, physics simulations, and other calculation-heavy work quicker than traditional tools.

According to Riemann Computing, LonScript can complete certain complex calculations in seconds rather than minutes. The company has claimed performance of more than 1,400 times faster than Python in its benchmark testing (across certain tests), though further real-world results will depend on the task, hardware, and software setup.

The language is intended to help researchers and developers reduce the time and computing resources needed for AI training, simulations, and large-scale data work. Riemann Computing founder Andrew Kamal has described LonScript as a shift in how computers approach difficult problem-solving.

Together, the new model, the savings estimator, and LonScript reflect Riemann Computing’s larger pitch: advanced technology should not be limited to organizations with enormous budgets. By focusing on compression, efficient compute, and faster scientific programming, the company aims to lower the cost of building and using modern software.

Riemann Computing is currently running an equity crowdfunding campaign on Wefunder, where supporters can follow its progress and learn more about its work. As always, none of this is investment or financial advice. Please do your own due diligence and research.

LEAP Group Relaunches HumanView, a Growth Intelligence System Built to Explain Why Customers Behave the Way They Do

Reimagined from the ground up, HumanView pairs statistical modeling with expert analysts to turn millions of real-world customer signals into business decisions

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — LEAP Group today announced the relaunch of HumanView, its growth intelligence service. The new version has been rebuilt from the ground up and now has a dedicated home at leapgroupnetwork.com/humanview.

HumanView analyzes what customers say and do across social platforms, e-commerce sites, review platforms, search behavior and user-generated content, including signals from Reddit, TikTok, YouTube, Meta, Amazon and Walmart+ that general AI tools cannot always access. Because the data reflects unprompted, real-world behavior, it avoids the response bias built into surveys and focus groups.

The service works in three layers. HumanView captures signals at scale, decodes millions of records through validated statistical models such as regression, correlation and clustering, and then relies on experienced analysts to interpret the patterns. Clients receive clear, human-validated insights instead of another dashboard.

“Machines find the patterns. Humans find the point,” said Alan Gilleo, CEO at LEAP Group. “The first version of HumanView showed us how much customers reveal when nobody is asking them questions. This version is built to explain why they act the way they do, and to put those answers in front of everyone making decisions, from product to service to marketing.”

HumanView focuses on three areas:

Growth Intelligence: customer motivations and how people perceive a brand and its competitors

Market and Category Intelligence: product pain points, service friction, unmet needs and competitive gaps

Audience Intelligence: new segments, positioning opportunities and gaps in the market

Every model is designed and validated by data scientists and benchmarked before it informs a recommendation.

STEPHEN A. SMITH ADDRESSES WHITE HOUSE DINNER ATTENDANCE, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO HBCUs AND PROTECTING CORPORATE INVESTMENT IN BLACK EDUCATION

Published

NEW YORK, Oct. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Stephen A. Smith, media mogul, New York Times bestselling author, and proud 1991 graduate of Winston-Salem State University, is addressing the public discussion surrounding his decision to attend a White House dinner with President Donald Trump, emphasizing his commitment to the long-term financial stability of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

For Smith, the decision was rooted in a commitment to institutions that have educated generations of Black leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and public servants.

“I will always advocate for HBCUs and the students whose futures depend on them,” Smith said. “My reason for attending the White House dinner was to discuss the challenges these institutions face in securing long-term funding and to make the case that corporate America must continue to invest in them.”

Smith acknowledged federal support through the FUTURE Act while expressing concern that political tensions surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) could discourage private companies from supporting HBCUs. He maintains that these institutions deserve sustained corporate partnerships, philanthropic contributions, and public investment.

“If we truly believe in free-market capitalism, businesses should be able to support educational institutions and charitable causes without fear of criticism or repercussions,” Smith said. “HBCUs have made extraordinary contributions to this country. They deserve sustained public and private investment.”

Ashley Christopher, Esq., Founder and CEO of the HBCU Week Foundation, recognized Smith’s advocacy and decision to engage with the administration.

“Stephen A. Smith has been a powerful advocate for HBCUs, using his platform and influence to shine a national spotlight on our institutions,” expressed Christopher, “His continued support of HBCU Week helps advance our mission of connecting students with life-changing educational opportunities, and we are proud to have him as our ambassador.”

Since Smith became an HBCU Week Ambassador in 2019, the initiative has facilitated more than 15,000 on-the-spot college acceptances and raised and awarded more than $150 million in scholarships, according to the HBCU Week Foundation.

As public discussion continues, Smith is emphasizing the importance of ensuring HBCUs have the resources and partnerships needed to educate future generations and expand opportunities for students.
