Dive Shop 360 Partners With PADI AWARE Foundation; Introduces Roundup Donations to Point of Sale System

Integration allows dive shops to prompt customers to round up purchases to support global ocean conservation

PROVO, Utah, Oct. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Dive Shop 360, an Official PADI Partner and all-in-one, cloud-based point of sale (POS) software built for dive retailers, today announced a new integration, in partnership with the PADI AWARE Foundation, that gives dive shops the ability to prompt customers to donate to ocean conservation directly from the Dive Shop 360 point of sale system.

“This partnership will help us reach the divers that power our work at a point when they are actively engaged in scuba diving.” – Mike McTernan, Director of Campaigns & Development at the PADI AWARE Foundation

Today’s divers rarely carry cash or pay with exact change, which has made the donation jar at the dive counter a thing of the past. The integration with PADI AWARE, which will be available to all Dive Shop 360 customers, prompts shoppers to round up their card purchases on the POS terminal at the time of sale, noting that the donation will go to the PADI AWARE Foundation.

The PADI AWARE Foundation has been a registered nonprofit since 1992, with registered charities in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. Its mission is to drive local action for global ocean conservation through citizen science, public policy, and community grants. Its programs include Dive Against Debris®, Adopt the Blue™, shark and ray protection, and a Community Grant Program that funds local conservation projects led by dive centers and community-based nonprofits. PADI AWARE has helped secure international protection for more than 100 species of sharks and rays, and in 2024 directed 79% of every donation to ocean conservation programs.

“Divers are some of the most passionate ocean advocates there are, and our dive shop customers have always looked for ways to give back to the places they dive,” said Summer Halstead, Director of Customer Experience at Dive Shop 360. “This integration makes it simple for every shop to turn everyday purchases into real support for ocean conservation, right at the counter, without adding any extra work for their staff.”

“PADI AWARE is excited to partner with Dive Shop 360,” said Mike McTernan, Director of Campaigns & Development at the PADI AWARE Foundation. “This partnership will help us reach the divers that power our work at a point when they are actively engaged in scuba diving. Every small donation helps us expand the reach of our global programs, enabling divers to stand up for and protect the reefs we all love.”

The PADI AWARE integration builds on Dive Shop 360’s existing PADI partnership. Dive shops already use Dive Shop 360 to manage PADI courses, assign eLearning codes and track certifications, and can now enroll divers in PADI Club™ right at checkout. Club members receive Scuba Diving® magazine, up to 20% off 19 PADI eLearning® courses, a free PADI ReActivate® refresher and more, with PADI covering the cost of the discounts rather than the shop. PADI Club has more than 114,000 active members and a 69% renewal rate, and members take continuing education courses at 30%, compared with 18% for nonmembers.

Dive Shop 360 will be at DEMA Show 2026 in New Orleans, Louisiana, November 3–6. Attendees can see the PADI AWARE and PADI Club integrations in action at booth #2232, and Dive Shop 360 customers can reserve a 45-minute walkthrough with the support team.

Polara Named Among Canada’s Fastest-Growing Technology Companies in the 2026 Deloitte Technology Fast 50™

Published

on

By

LONGUEUIL, QC, Oct. 29, 2026 /CNW/ — Polara, a leader in fleet electrification, supports organizations across North America with solutions ranging from charging infrastructure design and smart energy management through its Cleo platform to unlocking the value of electric assets in carbon markets.

With revenue growth of 560% over four years, the company is proud to announce that it has been named a 2026 winner of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ program, which recognizes the growth, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit of Canada’s top-performing technology companies.

The program recognizes the 50 Canadian technology companies with the highest revenue growth over a four-year period. To date, Polara has delivered 165 charging infrastructure projects, while its Cleo platform manages 290 sites, optimizing thousands of charging stations. In addition, nearly 150 electric fleets have entrusted Polara with the management of their carbon credits.

This recognition reflects Polara’s sustained growth and the expanding impact of its infrastructure solutions, including:

Delivery of New York State’s largest electric school bus fast-charging project for GVC Ltd.;Development of bidirectional vehicle-to-grid (V2G) infrastructure for Fremont Unified School District in California;Deployment of Canada’s first municipal vehicle-to-everything (V2X) charging station in Victoriaville, QC.

“This recognition is first and foremost a reflection of the outstanding work of our team and the trust placed in us by our customers, partners and investors,” said Sébastien Fournier, President and CEO of Polara. “Since the beginning, we have believed that the energy transition must be built on practical, cost-effective and scalable technology solutions. Being named to the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 is an important milestone in our growth journey.”

Polara helps its customers make the transition to electric mobility economically viable by adapting to the operational, regulatory and commercial realities of each market, supported by an integrated offering of infrastructure, software and services.

In carbon markets, eligible electric vehicles and equipment can generate carbon credits. Polara helps customers monetize these credits, creating a new source of revenue. This monetization opportunity complements the operating savings generated through smart charging and further strengthens the overall business case for the energy transition.

At the heart of this growth is Cleo, which serves as the intelligence layer connecting vehicles, charging stations, buildings and power grids. The platform optimizes charging based on fleet operational requirements and site energy constraints.

Polara is also expanding its expertise in bidirectional charging, including vehicle-to-grid (V2G) energy transfer and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) applications. These approaches are paving the way for fleets that can not only use energy more efficiently, but also contribute to the resilience of buildings and power grids.

“This recognition validates the relevance of our vision and the strength of the market we serve,” added David Cantin, Vice President, Finance at Polara. “As organizations seek to reduce energy costs, strengthen resilience and achieve their environmental objectives, we will continue to invest in innovation, particularly in our Cleo platform and its smart charging management capabilities, to deliver greater savings and improve operational and energy efficiency for our customers.”

For more than 25 years, the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 program has celebrated Canadian companies that distinguish themselves through their growth, capacity for innovation and contribution to Canada’s technology ecosystem.
