As part of its legacy celebrating 50 years of innovation and performance, Escort has announced a new firmware update for its flagship Redline 360c radar detector. Building upon the firmware released earlier this year which achieved groundbreaking response times, this update addresses range, giving drivers more time and distance to react to the alerts that matter most.

In testing against previous firmware versions, the update delivered up to 24% greater detection range, meeting customer expectations for the fastest, longest-range, and most accurate detector Escort has ever put on the road. It reflects Escort’s commitment to best-in-class performance drivers can rely on, delivering greater confidence and awareness wherever they go.

This latest advancement has undergone extensive internal and external testing, validating real-world performance that translates to noticeable and useful capability on the road. With measurable improvements to K and Ka Band detection without compromising accuracy, response times, and filtering performance, this update builds on Redline’s rapid response times and accurate filtering to identify radar signals at greater distances.

Extended K Band Range: Testing showed a 21% detection range increase, iterating on previous firmware versions.

Greater Ka Band Reach: Detection range improved across dramatically across tested Ka Band frequencies, with up to a 24% detection range increase over previous firmware versions.

Advanced Signal Recognition: Improved signal-to-noise ratio algorithms help better identify weaker radar signals at greater distances, allowing the detector time to better distinguish radar signals from surrounding noise for more accurate long-range detection.

No Filtering Compromises: The update extends detection range without compromising overall filtering performance, designed to deliver greater sensitivity without creating additional false alerts.

Continuing Escort’s commitment to advancing its existing products, the latest firmware gives Redline 360c owners a new way to get more from their detector. By updating their device, drivers can access greater detection range supported by the response and filtering capabilities that form the foundation of Redline’s performance.

Firmware updates are also now available for ESCORT Redline 360c International and MAXcam 360c, as well as hotfixes for the newly released Cobra RAD 390 and RAD 490i.
