The brand held a HAPPY DANCE event to mark the opening of the new store, its first Zanmang Loopy IP-themed store outside of mainland China.

SINGAPORE, July 10, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — In July, global lifestyle brand MINISO celebrated the reopening of its fully upgraded store at Jewel Changi Airport as the brand’s first Zanmang Loopy IP-themed store globally (outside mainland China). The revamped store, featuring a Loopy concept design, is also the first to include a dedicated MINISO GO zone, offering travel essentials to provide greater convenience for travelers at one of the world’s busiest airports. The store’s sales on July 4th were up by approximately 1150% QoQ (compared with before the store’s upgrade).

Having taken Asia by storm recently, the adorable pink Zanmang Loopy character lands at Jewel Changi Airport and takes center stage at MINISO’s new store, providing the theme for an eye-catching interior design. The store also features a Building Blocks installation depicting Changi Airport at its entrance, highlighting the transportation hub’s status as an unmistakable symbol of Singapore. Besides the distinctive MINISO GO zone for travelers, the store also features COOLING collections perfect for the hot summer, as well as various IP zones showcasing MINISO’s collaborations with some of the world’s biggest IP licensors, including Disney, BT21, Pokémon, Minions, and more. In line with the store’s Loopy theme, MINISO has also introduced its latest Loopy collection to the store, which has been highly anticipated by fans and quickly captures consumers’ hearts.

To celebrate the grand opening, MINISO hosted a HAPPY DANCE event on July 4th, right in front of the iconic Rain Vortex at Jewel Changi Airport, the world’s largest indoor waterfall. Led by the famous singer, dancer, and Fitness instructor Will Liu (刘畊宏), the dance event drew crowds of hundreds of shoppers and influencers in the airport and over ten thousand viewers who joined the event live on Douyin (Chinese version of TikTok). With participants dancing enthusiastically, the event promoted happiness, energy, and health to both local and global attendees, expressing MINISO’s Joy Philosophy and adding to the celebratory atmosphere of the new store opening.

“We’re thrilled to reopen our Jewel Changi Airport store with a completely upgraded format and expanded product categories,” said Robin Liu, CMO and Vice President of MINISO. “We are confident that the charming Loopy theme will make a big impression on consumers. Additionally, with the new MINISO GO series, we are passionate about providing a comfortable and convenient travel experience that meets our customers’ needs whether they are embarking on a global adventure or on their way back home, making MINISO their go-to destination when they are planning to travel”

The refurbishment of MINISO’s Jewel Changi Airport store is part of MINISO’s global store upgrade initiative aimed at establishing the brand as a leading IP design retail group. This ambition has driven MINISO to pursue rapid expansion across Asia and beyond. Currently, MINISO has stores in various major shopping destinations such as Lucky Plaza, Vivo City, NEX shopping mall, and Jurong Point throughout Singapore, with plans to add more stores in more major commercial districts in the second half of the year.

KaarTech Introduces KEOS to Help Enterprises Scale AI Across Business Operations

Published

on

KEOS combines enterprise intelligence and governed AI execution across four offerings: AI-led Transformation, Enterprise AI, Phygital and AI For Growth.

CHENNAI, India, Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — KaarTech today announced KEOS, an operating layer for enterprise intelligence designed to help organisations move beyond isolated AI initiatives and embed intelligence across their business. KEOS connects enterprise systems, knowledge and operational context to help organisations make informed decisions and deploy governed AI agents at scale.

As AI adoption expands, enterprises face a common challenge: disconnected systems and fragmented business knowledge prevent AI from understanding how the organisation works. KEOS addresses this by building a shared understanding of enterprise processes, data and assets, providing the context AI needs to support decisions and execute actions within defined controls.

KEOS brings together enterprise discovery, an ontology and knowledge graph, and a Context Lake that combines enterprise knowledge with operational memory. Together, these capabilities form an Enterprise Digital Twin, a living representation of how the organisation operates. An Agent Factory and Enterprise Agent OS build on this foundation to create, orchestrate and operate governed AI agents.

Ratnakumar Nagarajan, CAIO, KaarTech, said:

“Each part of the business has different requirements, but all need reliable context and clear controls. KEOS provides a common architecture that teams can extend to their domain. They can start with a defined use case, validate how agents perform and expand as they establish value.”

KEOS delivers this vision through four offerings:

AI-led Transformation: Embeds specialised AI agents across the SAP Activate lifecycle, from landscape discovery and AI readiness assessment to migration, testing and ongoing operations. The offering helps organisations accelerate transformation while maintaining visibility and control over agent activity.Enterprise AI: Brings enterprise data, AI infrastructure, security and governance together to support contextual AI across applications and operations. It helps organisations establish AI foundations aligned with their sovereignty, deployment and data requirements.Phygital: Connects physical assets and field operations with AI through sensor, operational and enterprise data. Applications include predictive maintenance, digital twins and connected-worker copilots that support maintenance and safety decisions.AI For Growth: Applies AI across marketing, sales and commercial operations, including forecasting, pricing, customer expansion and aftermarket services. It helps organisations connect fragmented workflows and use business intelligence to identify revenue opportunities and improve execution.

KaarTech supports KEOS adoption through its Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) model, with more than 500 FDEs as of October 2026. The company plans to transition 100% of its employees into FDE roles by March 2027, extending this delivery model across its workforce.

Across these offerings, KEOS connects information from enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM and supply chain systems with operational technology, engineering models, documents and external intelligence. This shared business context allows organisations to extend AI across use cases without rebuilding enterprise understanding for each application.

Governance forms part of the KEOS architecture through a common control plane covering identity, access policies, data privacy, auditability and human approval. Evaluation and observability capabilities support oversight of AI behaviour and operating costs, helping organisations define what AI can access, which actions it can take and when people must remain involved.

Organisations can adopt KEOS within one business domain, establish enterprise understanding and initial governed agents, and then expand across additional workflows. Deployment options include customer-cloud environments, isolated air-gapped environments and region-pinned SaaS, selected according to customer policies and data requirements.

From memory and power to photonics, packaging and beyond, Playground portfolio companies announce new technology and deepen their roots in Taiwan

TAIPEI, Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Playground Global, the leading deep tech venture capital firm, today highlighted new technology, funding and commercial milestones across its portfolio at its second annual Taiwan Deep Tech Summit, underscoring Taiwan’s essential role in bringing breakthrough technologies from idea to prototype to production at scale.

The Summit includes a dinner co-hosted with Foxconn Chairman Young Liu, reflecting a longstanding partnership between Playground and Foxconn and a shared commitment to Taiwan’s technology ecosystem.

“Taiwan is where the world’s most ambitious technologies become real products at scale,” said Pat Gelsinger, General Partner at Playground Global. “Its precision, pace and technical excellence make it an indispensable partner to deep tech founders building the next era of computing. We are proud to be back for a second year and to deepen the ties between Playground’s companies and Taiwan’s extraordinary ecosystem.”

Taiwan has become a critical backbone of the global technology industry as demand for AI-related semiconductors accelerates. Its ecosystem across semiconductors, advanced packaging and precision manufacturing is increasingly central to the next era of AI and advanced computing.

“AI, quantum and cryogenic computing are transforming every layer of the stack, changing how we build and deliver computation and how we live,” said Peter Barrett, General Partner at Playground Global. “Taiwan is where computing becomes physical, placing it at the center of an extraordinary opportunity to build new companies and industries.”

Playground Launches a New Company in Taiwan as Portfolio Companies Announce Breakthroughs and Partnerships

Nagare Labs – New AI Memory Technology Launches in Taiwan

Nagare Labs launches in Taiwan, unveiling a new memory technology that combines density and speed, promising to make AI compute systems more fluidic, responsive, and economically scalable. Nagare Labs is founded by Georgia Tech’s Dr. Suman Datta and Dr. Shimeng Yu, two of the most accomplished semiconductor researchers with a track record of creating groundbreaking and commercially successful semiconductor logic and memory technologies. Nagare Labs’ memory technology is built on silicon compatible manufacturing processes rather than exotic materials, using the same manufacturing processes that Taiwan already does better than anywhere on Earth.

Syenta – Taiwan Debut: First Full-Wafer Demonstration

Syenta is unveiling its first full-wafer demonstration of its Localized Electrochemical Manufacturing (LEM) process, an important milestone toward scaling the technology for advanced packaging. The demonstration shows stamp-based, localized copper deposition across a full wafer. Each deposition takes only a few minutes and requires no conventional lithography, pointing to a significantly simpler and faster way to manufacture high-resolution copper interconnects. The same platform is designed to scale from wafers to large-area panels, supporting Syenta’s roadmap toward high-volume advanced packaging manufacturing.

Ayar Labs – Hsinchu Office Opening, $650 million in recent funding

Ayar Labs is advancing co-packaged optics to move data with light rather than electricity, helping remove the bandwidth, latency, and power constraints that limit large-scale AI infrastructure. The company is reinforcing its commitment to Taiwan with its Hsinchu office now open, supporting the co-packaged optics manufacturing and packaging ecosystem in Taiwan. This builds on a year in which Ayar Labs, a Playground unicorn valued at $3.75 billion, raised $650 million, including strategic investments from Taiwan’s Wiwynn and MediaTek.”

Powerlattice – Industry’s First Power Chiplet Demonstration

Powerlattice has demonstrated the industry’s first monolithic integrated voltage regulator (IVR) chiplet under conditions designed to emulate the wide-ranging loads and rapid changes in power demand of next-generation AI accelerators. Its chiplet integrates the controller, power transistors and on-die magnetic film inductors in a configurable design that can be tailored to individual accelerators or synchronized arrays. The company says its technology can reduce total compute power needs by more than 50%, helping data centers get more performance from available power.

PicoJool – $27.5 Million to Scale Optical Connectivity for AI

PicoJool, a pioneer in optical connectivity for AI infrastructure, is scaling its optical connectivity products and strengthening ties across Taiwan’s semiconductor ecosystem in response to increased microVCSEL demand. The company raised $27.5 million in a Series A led by Socratic Partners, with participation from Hudson River Trading, bringing total funding to $39.5 million. The round followed PicoJool’s June unveiling of its 200G VCSEL and MicroVCSEL product family for scale-up AI data centers. Its 200G products exceed 37 GHz of bandwidth, while its portfolio gives customers multiple paths to 1.6T connectivity.

Snowcap – Power Efficient Superconducting Devices for AI

Snowcap, which is developing superconducting computing for AI, with circuits that can compute using minimal energy and carry current with no electrical resistance, has demonstrated functioning superconducting devices on 300mm wafers manufactured on foundry CMOS process, with results showing the technology is ready to scale toward higher-density, larger digital designs. Snowcap’s goal is to bring the power needed for large-scale AI down from gigawatts to megawatts, and the milestone is a key step toward that.

Playground’s continued engagement with Taiwan reflects a shared commitment to building the technologies that will define the next generation of computing. By pairing breakthrough deep tech innovation with Taiwan’s capabilities in semiconductors, advanced packaging and manufacturing, Playground and its portfolio companies are helping accelerate a more powerful, efficient and resilient technology future.
