Eagle Technologies exceeds $100MM in Mid-year Revenue Thanks to Keen Focus on Electric Vehicle and Battery Technology

Published

on

Since expanding into electric vehicle technologies in 2011, Eagle Technologies has become a global leader in battery production automation.

BRIDGMAN, Mich., July 22, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Eagle Technologies recently passed the $100MM revenue milestone, an achievement owed largely to an investment over the last decade into electric vehicle (EV) technology. The focus on this technology began in 2011, before electric charging stations were widely available at malls, restaurants, and roadsides. At the time, no auto manufacturer had mass production lines built for EV.

Eagle takes hold of the Electric Vehicle and Battery Automation industry with manufacturing innovation.

Eagle’s engagement with automation technology, and specifically with material handling systems for EV batteries, spearheaded domestic manufacturing efforts. As a result, Eagle was one of the first automation companies to engineer and build EV battery production lines in North America.

The move into EV technology has proved a strategic success for Eagle. Prior to 2015, Eagle’s primary project market share lay in automotive powertrain. As of 2022, 25% of Eagle’s project market share is in electric vehicles, with a further 25% each in consumer products and medical, and the final 25% split between agriculture, aerospace, logistics, energy, and the military. Today Eagle is working on automation projects for nearly every leading Electric Vehicle automaker, and expanding its customer portfolio weekly as electric vehicle launches are increasing.

Much of Eagle’s success is due to its proactive response to the accelerated pace of technological change. From the outset, Eagle has been quick to respond to the latest evolution of manufacturing technology, known as Industry 4.0, which includes new production methods that incorporate high-tech capabilities into traditional manufacturing workflows. From advanced simulation to 3D printing to IIoT-enabled robots, Industry 4.0 is expanding manufacturing capabilities—and in the process solving problems for which previous technologies had no solution.

A prime example of Industry 4.0 technology in use is on display at Rockwell Automation’s Electric Vehicle Innovation Center. Each year, hundreds of technology decision-makers visit the facility in San Jose, CA in order to experience firsthand the capabilities provided by industry leaders. Eagle’s investment in the center was to build and install an Electric Vehicle Battery Demo machine, which employs all the latest technologies to create one of the most sophisticated automated test and load machines on the market.

While foresight and an eye toward innovation have certainly helped Eagle stay on the cutting edge of advanced automation, ultimately, Eagle owes its success to the expertise and professionalism of its employees. “Our people are dedicated, highly skilled, and committed to the customer,” says Brandon Fuller, Eagle CEO. “Their eye for excellence and persistent pursuit of quality is what keeps us performing at the peak of our industry.”

Eagle Technologies is a turnkey automation supplier boasting over seven decades of manufacturing excellence. With projects spanning more than a dozen industries, 1,000 installations worldwide, 300+ square feet of engineering space, and partner facilities in China, Ireland, and Mexico, Eagle offers custom robotics, advanced testing, and premier factory automation services to businesses worldwide. Carnyx Therapeutics Unveils Oral Sleep Candidate CNYX-005 with Preclinical Data Showing Increased NREM Sleep

Published

Preclinical study shows 1.5- to 2-hour increase in total sleep time as Company advances toward clinical development and attracts Chris Brearley, M.D., as Chief Medical Officer

INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Carnyx Therapeutics Ltd. (“Carnyx” or the “Company”), a preclinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing first-in-class molecular therapeutics for sleep and retinitis pigmentosa, today unveiled CNYX-005, its lead oral sleep candidate, alongside preclinical findings showing increased total sleep time and non-rapid eye movement (NREM) sleep in aged animal models.

In the study, aged rats administered with CNYX-005 showed an approximately 1.5- to 2-hour increase in total sleep time compared to the control arm, driven primarily by increased NREM sleep. Researchers measured sleep architecture using continuous electroencephalography (EEG) monitoring.

“Our objective is not simply to induce sleep, but to investigate whether we can support restorative sleep physiology,” said Carnyx CEO Prof. Patrick Gunning. “The increase in NREM sleep is particularly interesting because it suggests CNYX-005 may influence sleep architecture, rather than simply increasing time asleep.”

NREM sleep is a fundamental component of normal sleep architecture, with deeper stages associated with restorative physiological processes including growth, hormone secretion and tissue repair. Sleep architecture changes with age, including reductions in deep NREM sleep and increased sleep fragmentation.

As Carnyx advances CNYX-005 toward clinical development, veteran drug developer Chris Brearley, M.D., has joined the Company as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Brearley brings more than 30 years of experience in translational medicine, clinical pharmacology and early-stage drug development, including senior roles at Pfizer, Amgen, and Serono. He has extensive experience designing and overseeing first-in-human and early-stage clinical studies.

“These findings provide important evidence supporting further evaluation of CNYX-005,” said Dr. Brearley. “We are particularly encouraged by the observed increase in NREM sleep as we investigate the candidate’s potential role in restorative sleep. I look forward to helping translate these findings into a rigorous clinical development program and supporting CNYX-005 toward potential clinical evaluation.”

CNYX-005 emerged from research into peptide biology associated with sleep regulation and healthy aging, including research involving Epitalon. CNYX-005 is a distinct therapeutic candidate, and Carnyx is applying medicinal chemistry, pharmacology and drug-development approaches to establish efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetic profiles.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently reviewed Epitalon and a selection of other peptides for their proposed use in compounding pharmacies. “There is growing scientific and public interest in peptides and their potential applications in health and longevity, often ahead of rigorous clinical evidence,” added Prof. Gunning. “Our focus is on translating promising biology into a formally developed therapeutic candidate through systematic preclinical evaluation and, ultimately, clinical testing.”

In addition to CNYX-005, Carnyx is developing CNYX-001, an investigational candidate for retinitis pigmentosa.

Report on China’s Sewing Equipment Exports: From Manufacturing Hub to Capability Exporter

Published

on

By

YIWU, China, Oct. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Over the past two years, China’s industrial sewing machine exports have performed particularly well. Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, is China’s largest production and export base for industrial sewing equipment and is widely known as the “sewing equipment capital of China”. Neighboring Yiwu, a global hub for small commodities, has also benefited from this growth, with sewing equipment exports gaining momentum. Yiwugo.com, the official website of the Yiwu Commodity Market, is the largest commodity wholesale market in the world. Data from Yiwugo confirms this trend. Over the past two years, bulk buyers from Africa and Southeast Asian countries such as Cambodia and Bangladesh have significantly increased their searches for and purchases of industrial sewing machines. Meanwhile, young people in Europe and the US are increasingly embracing Chinese-inspired lifestyles, and DIY fabric crafts are gaining popularity. As a result, demand for a range of home-use automatic sewing machines and mini portable sewing and embroidery machines has also climbed clearly.

Zhang Baoshun, founder of Yiwu Baochuang Sewing Equipment Co., Ltd., has over 20 years of experience in the production and R&D of industrial sewing machines for bulk orders. His brand Qiafeng has established a presence in markets around the world. According to Zhang, the company draws on professional technical expertise from both home and abroad for its R&D on automation units and intelligent industrial control systems. It also provides follow-up maintenance and equipment upgrades, giving bulk buyers greater confidence and peace of mind when making large-scale purchases. The company now holds more than 20 patents and over 100 software copyrights, underscoring its R&D capabilities.

Following the recent Canton Fair, a number of overseas buyers found Baochuang Sewing through Yiwugo. The company tailors production lines and production schedules to each client’s specific requirements. It is currently in discussions with prospective customers to finalize order details. Preliminary estimates suggest that the company’s overseas custom orders will increase by about 20% this year compared with last year.

Zhang noted that since 2024, changes in the global economic landscape and shifts in industrial layouts have prompted many apparel brands to relocate their production lines to countries and regions across Southeast Asia and Africa. Previously, through the Yiwu market and the Yiwugo platform, Baochuang had already become a supplier of industrial sewing machines to a number of well-known domestic and international brands including CK, ERKE and Puma. With the relocation of manufacturing to new regions over the past two years, local workers have often lacked the technical skills and productivity needed to meet manufacturers’ demands to cut costs, raise efficiency and increase automation, which is exactly why Baochuang’s near-unmanned industrial sewing machines have proven very popular in these markets. With these machines, a single worker can operate six machines simultaneously, while each sewing machine turns out more than twice the output of a traditional one. Baochuang’s customized machines help workers achieve production targets more quickly and efficiently. Puma alone orders more than 100 of Baochuang’s new industrial sewing machines each year, and the annual value of orders between the two companies is currently around RMB 4 million.

Through technological innovation, Baochuang has developed industrial sewing machine solutions that solve problems such as inconsistent product quality caused by manual operations, securing partnerships with factories supplying several major brands.

Unlike Baochuang’s founder, Zhou Qiyun began his career as a shirtmaker before moving into technical work on sewing, and eventually established Yiwu Meizhen Sewing Equipment Company. Over 35 years, he has completed the shift from machine user to machine maker, which is precisely why he understands the practical challenges faced by sewing machine users. Drawing on this experience, the company has built a strong edge in modifying specialized sewing machines and in producing fully and semi-automatic conventional machines for a wide range of domestic and international markets.

Zhou said that since 2025, nearly 90% of the company’s orders have come from overseas markets, with Africa recording the fastest growth. Many overseas customers first connected with Meizhen through trade shows and advertisements on Yiwugo. As more manufacturing operations set up in Africa, buyers there are increasingly purchasing a wide range of sewing equipment in bulk. In the Indonesian market, buyers are gradually upgrading from conventional sewing equipment to semi-automatic and fully automatic machines. Not long ago, Meizhen delivered a batch of sewing machines worth over RMB 5 million for an Indonesian government procurement project. As part of the project, the Indonesian government even sent four technical personnel to Meizhen for training in the daily operation and maintenance of the new machines.

Meizhen’s technical expertise and after-sales services, including worker training, are key factors behind many customers’ decisions to choose the company. In addition, the expertise of Zhou Qiyun and his technical team also enable Meizhen to offer a comprehensive range of sewing equipment and customize machines to meet specialized requirements. In one instance, an overseas handicraft workshop needed a sewing machine capable of producing headpieces and beaded chains. Under Zhou’s leadership, the team quickly developed a specialized machine to meet the customer’s needs. Impressed by the result, the customer signed an order worth nearly RMB 1 million on the spot.

The global economic landscape continues to undergo profound changes, reshaping trade flows, industrial footprints and consumer preferences. Yet the merchants on Yiwugo and in the Yiwu market remain firmly rooted in their mission: delivering small commodities and small equipment that offer the best-value and meet buyers’ needs to customers all over the world. This steadfastness is not about resisting change. Rather, it reflects a simple yet enduring conviction: service must stay one step ahead of customer needs, and value is created when people work together. The world will become a place of greater opportunity and possibility because of a collaboration in which each party plays to its strengths and creates value together. Perhaps this is one of the most meaningful aspects of China‘s sewing industry expanding onto the global stage.
