RALEIGH, N.C., Dec. 2, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — SpiritMedia.US, publisher of The Pyramid Principle joins with authors John Vallely and Paul Weissenstein, Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, GiveButter, and other strategic partners to launch a nationwide generosity campaign to share gifts of courage with 400,000 families fighting cancer in the USA.
Full details are available at: http://agiftofcourage.org.
The generosity campaign seeks to provide gift copies of The Pyramid Principle to the 400,000 families currently fighting cancer in the US while also benefiting cancer research with the ultimate dream of eliminating cancer.
The Pyramid Principle shares Erin Vallely’s journey of courage during her battle with cancer which has affected the lives of hundreds of thousands of pediatric cancer patients. The book shares the never-before-told story of John Vallely, a UCLA hall-of-fame and NBA Pro superstar who played under legendary Coach John Wooden. It would be Coach Wooden’s investment of wisdom, faith, and love that would give John Vallely championship resilience to face his daughter’s hellacious battle with cancer. John would later find strength from Erin’s courage to fight his own battle with cancer.
“I had been looking for a story that honored the legacy and faith of Coach Wooden,” says co-author Paul Weissenstein. “Hearing about John Vallely’s 12-year-old daughter, Erin, facing her third bout with cancer and asking him, ‘Daddy, will I live to see Christmas?’ convinced me that this was the story I had to tell.”
“The battle that Erin went through when diagnosed as a 9-year-old was shattering,” says author John Vallely. “The struggle that a little girl would begin and fight for three years. How do you recover from something like that? It’s just hard to describe. We must support raising money so we can change the world for all kids fighting cancer.”
Jeri Wilson, Vice President of Development for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation says, “John and Karen put themselves out there to share a story that is just beyond painful. I think the journey to know that even if you go through significant loss, there is hope, and you will come out the other side, is incredibly beautiful.”
The book shares the time Erin Vallely traded her hospital gown for a ballroom dress to attend a fundraising gala for cancer research. With supernatural courage, she said, “Unfortunately, there is an enemy to all men, women, and especially children. That enemy is cancer and it must be defeated! I’m asking you, please give and together we will see victory over cancer!”
“Cancer touches all of us,” says SpiritMedia.US Founder and CEO, Kevin White. “Most likely, you or someone in your immediate family has been diagnosed with cancer at some point. We are excited to embrace such a big, bold, and audacious goal to share gifts of courage with 400,000 families fighting cancer!”
UCLA women’s basketball coach Cori Close, a longtime friend of John Vallely, champions The Pyramid Principle and stands with him to share the announcement.
“Join us today as we raise funds for a cause that truly matters!” shares Cori Close. “I’ve been to the hospitals with the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF), and seen the kids and met some unbelievable people. We have to do whatever we can to raise awareness and dollars to eradicate cancer.”
Shelly White, a cancer survivor from North Carolina says, “The Pyramid Principle gave me the courage to face my own hard places with hope and faith. The read is a beautiful distraction in hard places. It reminds you that you are not alone and it provides principles to keep you moving on your journey.”
Generous donors worldwide are uniting to provide gifts of courage to families fighting cancer, empowering them with victory over cancer. Families and businesses can visit aGiftofCourage.org to contribute. Every contribution makes a real difference in lifting spirits, bringing courage, and empowering victory over cancer.
The book’s website, thepyramidprinciple.org, invites all families fighting cancer to request their free copy. In addition, organizers will partner with the PCRF to distribute copies through 27,000 oncologists, 1,500 cancer treatment centers, and 72 comprehensive cancer hospitals throughout the United States. All donations are tax-deductible through Spirit Media Charities, an IRS-recognized 501 C3 nonprofit organization.

Firmable launches Tech Intelligence, showing B2B sales teams what their prospects actually run and who to call about it
Published
4 seconds agoon
October 19, 2026By
Firmable now detects 75,317 technologies across 19 million businesses, including the back-office infrastructure that website-based technographics miss. Every detection provides critical business context and comes with verified decision-maker contacts.
SAN FRANCISCO and MELBOURNE, Australia, Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Firmable, the AI-native B2B sales platform, today launched Tech Intelligence. It shows revenue teams the software, infrastructure, cloud and AI a company runs, and links it to the company and contact data Firmable already verifies. Name a technology and get back the companies running it and the people who own it, in one step. Tech Intelligence is now available as a paid add-on, in-product, and through the Firmable MCP in Claude, ChatGPT, and Copilot.
Most B2B sales teams know who they want to sell to. Far fewer know what tech those companies already run. So reps open calls blind. They pitch accounts locked into a rival product and miss the migration and refresh moments that create pipeline. In a recent survey by Firmable of US sales teams, 71% ranked a lack of timing and context on a prospect as their biggest headache, ahead of bad contact data. Only 12% said they have a tool that solves it.
Today’s technographics tools weren’t built to close that gap. Most read only a company’s marketing website, and some look at job ads. That picks up analytics tags and the tools a company is hiring for. It misses the back-office systems that matter most to anyone selling into, alongside or against a tech stack: mail, hosting, identity, cloud and self-hosted services. And even when a team finds the right account, it still has to enrich the list in another tool to reach the right person.
“Being AI-native means we can build products that legacy data vendors can’t bolt on,” said Leigh Jasper, co-founder and co-CEO of Firmable. “Tech Intelligence is a good example. Our AI monitors 10 billion internet endpoints every week, reads four kinds of public signals, matches what it finds to 20 million businesses and joins it to verified people. It does that around the clock. You can’t get there by patching an old database. We built our data layer for AI from day one, and that’s why we can ship this depth fast. We launched our MCP in July. Now Tech Intelligence in October. Customers should expect that pace from Firmable.”
Four ways of seeing a tech stack, in one platform
Tech Intelligence combines four detection methods, whereas most providers use one or two. Firmable reviewed 42 technographic and go-to-market data providers. None documented the same combination. Two of the methods, network and infrastructure observations, almost never show up in sales tools.
So sales teams see the back-office tech other tools miss: who hosts a company’s email, which identity provider it uses, and whether it still runs aging on-premises infrastructure. Each detection is matched to Firmable’s company records and verified contacts. The list a rep gets back already names the people to call and what to open with.
Built for teams that sell into the tech stack
Tech Intelligence is built for any B2B team whose next deal depends on what a prospect already runs. That includes software and technology vendors, managed service providers (MSPs), IT services firms and integrators, cybersecurity providers and MSSPs, and resellers and partner teams. It answers four questions those teams ask every day:
Use case
The question it answers
Example
Competitor displacement
Who runs the product we replace?
Every company in a territory on a rival email security product, plus the person who owns it
Complementary tools
Who runs a tool that makes ours a natural add-on?
Companies with over 800 employees, running Shopify, for an e-commerce add-on vendor
Service partners
Who needs services on the technology we support?
Accounts running VMware, for a migration partner
Market insights
How big is the market for a technology, and where?
The number of companies using Claude, by size and location
Inside the Firmable platform, the package adds ready-made segments built around common buying moments. Teams can also pair a technology detection with Firmable’s buying signals, such as a new Head of IT or a funding round. That surfaces accounts that are both a fit and in motion.
A rep can ask their AI assistant to “find companies in the US running a competitor’s product, with more than 200 employees, and show me the IT decision-makers at each”. They get a verified, ready-to-action list back in one step and can push it straight to a Firmable list or to their CRM.
Transparent confidence, from public-facing data only
Every Tech Intelligence detection carries a high, medium or low confidence score and a last-observed date. Detections are cross-checked across all four methods. Sales teams see how strong the evidence is and when it was last seen, so they don’t have to trust a black-box tag that could be years old.
All of Tech Intelligence is built from public-facing information. Firmable never logs in, never uses credentials and never goes inside a company’s network.
“Sales teams in the US and Canada have no shortage of data. What they’re missing is the context that turns a list into a conversation,” said Chester Thompson, VP, Americas at Firmable. “Tech Intelligence closes that gap. A rep in Chicago or Toronto can see which accounts still run VMware, which ones have switched email providers, and who owns the decision, all before they pick up the phone. For MSPs, IT services firms and channel teams across North America, that means getting to migration and refresh work before the RFP lands. We’re growing fast, and this is exactly the kind of product that wins new logos.”
The launch follows Firmable’s MCP release in July 2026 and keeps up Firmable’s fast product cadence as the company expands across the US and Canada, building on its base in Australia and APAC.

Tumor Ablation Market Set to Surge to US$ 1.8 Billion by 2031, Growing at 11.6% CAGR: Wissen Research
Published
13 seconds agoon
October 19, 2026By
SHERIDAN, Wyo., Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The global tumor ablation market is valued at USD 1.04 billion in 2026 and is projected to reach USD 1.8 billion by 2031, growing at a CAGR of 11.6% over the forecast period (2026–2031), according to a new study by Wissen Research.
Tumor ablation destroys targeted tumor tissue with heat, cold, or other forms of energy while trying to spare the healthy tissue around it. In percutaneous procedures, a physician threads a probe through the skin and into the tumor under imaging guidance, which lowers the risks that come with standard surgery. For patients who are not candidates for surgery, or for whom preserving organ function matters, it is an increasingly important option.
The demand starts with patient numbers. The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) counted about 20 million new cancer cases and 9.7 million cancer deaths worldwide in 2022, and expects the figure to rise significantly by 2050. A growing population of patients with solid tumors is driving demand for localized treatments that can work alongside surgery, radiation, and systemic therapy or, in specific cases, replace them.

The Probe Is Only Part of the System: Imaging and Planning Software Now Sit Beside the Energy Source
Tumor ablation is moving away from standalone energy delivery devices toward integrated systems. Modern platforms increasingly combine the energy source with CT, ultrasound, MRI, navigation, temperature sensors, and treatment planning software, so the physician can place the probe precisely, watch the treated zone, and plan how far the treatment should extend. CT and ultrasound help position the probe, MRI gives detailed images of the treated area, and software lets the physician define tumor borders before treatment begins. The report describes an industry that is becoming more technology- and software-oriented, with competition shifting toward more efficient image-guided tumor ablation, tighter control of the procedure, and larger, more predictable ablation zones.
Precision matters because physics can work against the treatment. The National Cancer Institute (NCI) notes that radiofrequency ablation, microwave ablation, and cryoablation are used for localized liver cancer, but tumor size and location can limit how well thermal ablation works. When a tumor sits close to a large blood vessel, flowing blood can carry heat away from the treatment area, a heat-sink effect that reduces effectiveness.
Beyond Heat: Freezing, Focused Ultrasound, and Electrical Pulses Widen the Toolkit
Radiofrequency ablation remained a leading technology in 2025 on the strength of its long clinical track record and wide availability, and the NCI lists it among the local treatment options for liver malignancies. Microwave ablation is gradually gaining ground because it can offer higher temperatures, larger ablation areas, and simultaneous treatment through multiple devices, while cryoablation, which destroys tissue by freezing and thawing, is getting stronger in kidney and prostate cancer.
Other approaches are broadening what can be treated. Irreversible electroporation (IRE) uses short electrical pulses instead of heat to disrupt cells, and is being explored where conventional heating is difficult, such as near sensitive structures. High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) delivers energy through concentrated ultrasound signals. Both remain more specialized than the established thermal methods, and the report notes that the state of the technology and the available evidence vary from one application to another, even as ablation spreads beyond the liver and kidney to other solid tumors.

What’s Fueling Growth in the Tumor Ablation Market
A larger cancer patient population: More patients with solid tumors are creating demand for localized treatments alongside surgery, radiotherapy, and systemic therapy.Preference for minimally invasive procedures: Ablation can be performed through the skin, which makes it an option when surgery is not possible or when treatment must avoid harming surrounding healthy tissue.Wider use of image-guided techniques: CT, ultrasound, and MRI allow precise probe placement, treatment planning, and monitoring of the ablation zone.Better ablation equipment: Improvements in microwave equipment and electrodes, cryoprobes, HIFU systems, and electroporation technology give physicians finer control over tumor destruction.More tumor types in play: Ablation is being applied or researched in liver, kidney, lung, prostate, breast, bone, and other localized tumors.Demand for organ-sparing treatment: Destroying a localized tumor requires less extensive intervention and preserves nearby healthy tissue.
Challenges Facing the Tumor Ablation Market
The central challenge is destroying the whole tumor while protecting what is next to it. Results depend on the tumor’s size, shape, location, and tissue properties, and on how close it sits to vital structures. Tumors that are not fully destroyed can survive at the treatment margin, raising the risk of local recurrence and the need for repeat procedures or additional treatment. Tumors near bile ducts, airways, nerves, and intestines can force physicians to reduce the energy they deliver, and inconsistent probe placement can leave tumor tissue behind. That is why imaging, probe positioning, treatment planning, and monitoring have to be clear and dependable.
Adoption has its own hurdles. Using advanced imaging technology involves regulatory requirements, the availability of clinical evidence, and the level of physician training, and technologies such as irreversible electroporation, HIFU, and laser ablation are still developing.
Recent Strategic Developments in the Tumor Ablation Market
In August 2026, IceCure Medical Ltd. of Israel entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Scovas Medical for its ProSense cryoablation systems in the Netherlands. The agreement expanded ProSense commercialization for breast cancer and interventional oncology, while the Netherlands-based THERMAC trial advanced to Phase III, supporting further clinical adoption of cryoablation.
In May 2026, AngioDynamics, Inc. of the United States announced that Palmetto GBA had issued a final Medicare coverage determination for irreversible electroporation using the NanoKnife System for selected prostate cancer cases and metastatic colorectal cancer to the liver. The coverage took effect July 5, 2026, supporting broader reimbursement and patient access to non-thermal tumor ablation.
One development opens a new market for cryoablation, and the other makes a non-thermal technique easier for patients to access.

How to Choose Paper for Fine Art Prints Explained in HelloNation Article Featuring Art Print Expert Henry McCoy
Published
22 seconds agoon
October 19, 2026By
The article outlines how paper choices affect color, texture, and longevity in reproductions of artwork.
RUSTON, La., Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — What factors matter most when selecting materials for high-quality art reproduction? HelloNation has published the piece and provides the answer in an article exploring how to choose paper for fine art prints, with guidance from Henry McCoy of Fine Line Supply Co.
The HelloNation article explains how to choose paper for fine art prints by balancing visual goals with technical considerations. It describes how different types of paper influence the way artwork reproduction prints are perceived, from sharp detail to soft, expressive finishes. Smooth surfaces tend to highlight fine lines and clarity, while more textured options can create depth and a tactile feel that complements certain styles.
The article emphasizes that paper weight plays a key role in presentation. Heavier paper weight often gives artwork reproduction prints a more substantial, professional feel, while lighter paper can make them appear more casual. According to the article, choosing the best paper for fine art prints involves evaluating how the weight contributes to both durability and the overall impression of the piece.
Paper finish is another important factor discussed in the article. A glossy paper finish can enhance vibrancy and contrast, making colors stand out more prominently. Matte paper finish, on the other hand, reduces glare and softens tones, which may be better suited for certain display environments. The article notes that understanding paper finish helps artists maintain control over how their work is viewed under different lighting conditions.
Paper texture is also highlighted as a defining factor in choosing paper for fine art prints. The article describes how subtle or pronounced paper texture can change the personality of artwork reproduction prints. For example, a watercolor-style paper texture can introduce a painterly quality, while smooth photo paper delivers a crisp, precise appearance. Matching paper texture to the original artwork helps preserve the intended emotional impact.
Longevity is a key concern addressed in the article, particularly for artists creating pieces meant to last. Archival-quality paper is recommended to prevent yellowing and deterioration over time. The article explains that selecting archival-quality paper ensures that artwork reproduction prints maintain their integrity for years, making it an essential factor in determining the best paper for fine art prints.
Color accuracy is another critical topic covered in the article. It explains that different papers can subtly shift hues, making test prints an important step in the process. By evaluating color accuracy across various paper types, artists and printers can make adjustments that preserve the original vision. The article notes that attention to color accuracy is essential when choosing paper for fine art prints.
The article also discusses the importance of testing samples before making a final decision. Variables such as paper weight, paper texture, paper finish, and lighting conditions can all influence the final result. Taking time to compare options helps artists ensure the selected paper enhances both the visual quality and longevity of their work.
In summary, the HelloNation article presents a thoughtful process for choosing paper for fine art prints that combines technical knowledge with artistic judgment. By considering paper weight, texture, finish, archival-quality paper, and color accuracy, artists can produce reproduction prints that reflect their original intent while maintaining durability.
