HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Dec. 9, 2024 /CNW/ — CJ 4DPLEX, the world’s leading producer of premium film formats and cinema technologies, and Showtime Cinemas, part of the Showtime Group and the second largest exhibitor in Taiwan, announced today at CineAsia they have expanded their partnership to a total 14 premium offerings with ULTRA 4DX, CJ 4DPLEX’s super premium experience that combines the multisensory 4DX and 270-degree panoramic SCREENX technology into one theater, which will be the first ever in Taiwan.

Two of the ULTRA 4DX theaters and two of the SCREENX theaters will open in 2025 at Showtime’s new flagship complex at the Taipei Dome, the popular culture and sports park. This is the first time an exhibitor will have two ULTRA 4DX and two SCREENX theaters in the same complex. The entertainment destination houses the Taipei Arena, an indoor multi-functional stadium with a capacity of 40,000 seats which hosts large-scale ball games and performances, as well as retail shops and a hotel.

The two additional ULTRA 4DXs will be located at Showtime’s Dream Mall and Wenxin locations. The first multisensory 4DX theater will open at Taichung Station. All the locations are set to open in 2025.

“Given the overwhelming success of our collaboration with CJ 4DPLEX, expanding our offerings even further with the debut of ULTRA 4DX in Taiwan was the natural evolution of the partnership,” stated Showtime Group General Manager Willy Liao. “CJ 4DPLEX is redefining moviegoing and we continue to lead the way in delivering cutting-edge cinematic experiences to Showtime’s audiences in truly unique ways.”

“We are thrilled to strengthen our collaboration with Showtime Group,” said Jun Bang, CEO of CJ 4DPLEX. “The launch of our ULTRA 4DX and SCREENX theaters at the flagship Taipei Dome site boldly signals our impact and enthusiasm to provide premium and differentiated cinematic experiences across Asia.”

Don Savant, Chief Business Officer at CJ 4DPLEX, added, “Since unveiling the first SCREENX auditorium in Taiwan earlier this year, the performance and results have been nothing short of extraordinary. SCREENX has become one of Taiwan’s leading premium formats in less than half a year.”

Chelsea FC name fast-growing fintech platform as Principal Partner

LONDON, Oct. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Chelsea Football Club has today announced a multi-year partnership with Sokin, the embedded finance and payments company used by businesses worldwide. Sokin will be named a Principal Partner and Official Business Payments and FX Partner of Chelsea FC and Chelsea FC Women.

As a Principal Partner, Sokin will be represented on the sleeves of the Chelsea FC men’s, women’s and academy home, away, and third kits from the 2026/27 season.

The partnership brings together two ambitious London-headquartered organisations with worldwide reach – a club with millions of fans across the world and a fintech platform through which businesses move more than $11 billion a year. A club of Chelsea’s scale works in many currencies every day, with partners, competitions and supporters around the world, and needs a financial partner built to handle that.

Sokin gives finance teams business payments, multi-currency accounts, foreign exchange, checkout and treasury in one place, so they spend less time juggling banks and providers and keep more of what they move.

As Official Business Payments and FX Partner, Sokin will simplify how Chelsea FC sends, receives and manages money in the currencies the club operates in.

The Sokin logo will feature on the sleeve of the Chelsea shirt for the first time [when the men’s team host Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 24th October.]

Jason Gannon, President at Chelsea FC said:

“At Chelsea, we seek to partner with organisations that share our ambition and innovative mindset. Sokin’s expertise in business payments, and their focus on making both simpler for the businesses they serve, makes them a natural fit for the Club. We are pleased to welcome Sokin to the Chelsea family and look forward to working together in the years ahead.”

Vroon Modgill, CEO and founder at Sokin said:

“Chelsea plays on the biggest stage in world football, and its business runs in dozens of currencies. Sokin was built for that with regulated, multi-currency payments and foreign exchange for organisations that operate internationally. We’re proud to be the platform behind the business payments and FX of one of the most iconic teams in football. Sokin’s platform serves businesses in more than 170 countries. We’re thrilled to be partners for the season ahead. An organisation as sophisticated as Chelsea doesn’t leave its finances to chance.”
