Make it mobile: Ensure you’re offering a mobile app to pay for parking and citations, and encourage parkers to download the right app to make life at the curb easier, while also expediting payments for citations. In 2024, 85% of all paid citations processed by Passport were resolved online.

Over-communicate to consumers: Make sure they understand the citation and enforcement rules and next steps – including how they will receive notices. Most cities don’t send payment links via text message or request payment through unofficial channels.
