IRVINE, Calif., April 18, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Roland DG Corporation, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers, printer/cutters, vinyl cutters, and other advanced digital imaging devices, has announced the global availability of 8 new printable substrates, 13 paint colors, and 4 interior decoration kits to the DIMENSE digital printing solution, which enables the production of high-value dimensional surface decoration with textured printing.

DIMENSE is a digital print solution consisting of an inkjet printer combined with special texture-forming media, a structural ink to control the texture, and CMYK water-based ink that is safe for use indoors. After printing, the media is heated by the printer’s on-board heater, causing areas not coated with structured ink to foam. This interaction between the hardware, media, and ink results in stunning textured output, including three-dimensional wallcoverings and other interior design elements, with incredible visual and tactile appeal.

Eight new types of dedicated media are now available, including new substrates which allow embossing up to 0.078 of an inch (2 mm) high for sharper and deeper dimensional effects. These media are available either in a non-woven or a textile-based canvas version. For the U.S. market, media that is compliant with the U.S. Type II standard, which defines the durability and performance of wallpaper for commercial applications, is now available. Additionally, media options with twice the scratch-resistance of standard material have been added for use in high-traffic environments.

One of the main features of DIMENSE is the ability to create awe-inspiring artistic effects that go beyond digital printing by manually painting on the embossed output. To provide a ready-to-use solution, thirteen compatible paints are now available, including metallic colors such as gold, silver, and copper as well as special effects paints like matte, sand, and velvet, expanding creative possibilities.

In addition, four new application kits are available, containing the necessary tools for post-processing such as painting and applying finished wallpaper. The kits come with manuals and instructional videos that clearly guide users through the process, so ideas can take shape quickly and easily.

JAMS Launches AI for Enterprise Job Scheduling: JAX and JAMS MCP, on the Model You Choose

Automation environments grow faster than the teams that run them. Jobs multiply across SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, SAP, JDE, and Banner, and when one fails, finding the root cause often means searching several consoles at once, frequently outside business hours. JAX is an AI agent that runs inside the JAMS Web Client. It finds jobs, troubleshoots failures, and answers how-to questions in plain language, with each response grounded in the JAMS user guide and checked against a built-in glossary. JAX acts only when a user asks it to. Reads flow freely, and every write action pauses for the user’s explicit approval before it runs. JAX does not learn between sessions, and conversations are not retained on the server.

JAMS MCP is a connector, built on the open Model Context Protocol standard, that brings JAMS into the AI tools engineering teams already use, including Cursor, VS Code with Copilot, Claude Code, Claude Desktop, and Codex. Users query jobs, investigate failures, and manage runs in plain language without leaving their tool.

Both capabilities run inside the customer’s own network and act as the signed-in user, with that user’s exact JAMS permissions. There is no elevated AI account: whatever a user cannot do in the JAMS interface, JAX and JAMS MCP cannot do on that user’s behalf. Every JAX and MCP operation is recorded in its own dedicated log, and changes made through the JAMS API land in the JAMS audit trail like any other change. Customers choose their own AI model, whether a commercial provider such as OpenAI or Anthropic or a model running entirely on their own hardware, and JAMS never trains on customer data. In the current release, neither feature edits or deletes a job, folder, schedule, or agent definition. For teams that must keep operational data within a defined boundary, JAX runs on a local model entirely inside the customer’s own network, so nothing leaves at all.
