Aon to modernize how brokers access capital and syndicate risk with new Digital Placement Exchange (Aon DPX) trading platform

DUBLIN, May 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, today announced plans to launch Aon Digital Placement Exchange (Aon DPX), a new digital trading platform designed to modernize how brokers access capital and syndicate risk.

Aon DPX will be Aon’s digital approach to placing Follow Line business in the London Market, using structured data and algorithmic trading to connect risk and capital more efficiently. The platform will enable insurers to digitally express and deploy their underwriting appetite, helping accelerate execution and improve consistency in placement – reducing friction across the placement lifecycle and delivering more predictable outcomes for brokers and clients alike. The platform is scheduled to go live for U.S. Property risks in the second half of 2026, with more than a dozen leading insurers expected to participate at launch.

Traditionally, placing Follow Line business has relied on manual, repetitive processes across distribution and underwriting. Aon DPX modernizes this approach by enabling insurers to define their underwriting appetite digitally, giving brokers faster access to Follow Line capacity once Lead terms are established.

Energy Storage Portfolio Covering Residential, C&I and Utility-Scale Applications

REPT BATTERO showcased a full range of energy storage products across residential, C&I and utility-scale applications.

In the residential storage segment, the company offered multiple cell formats including 50Ah, 72Ah, 100Ah, as well as 280Ah, 314Ah and 392Ah solutions for residential ESS systems.

For C&I and utility-scale applications, REPT BATTERO presented its Wending® 392Ah and Wending® 588Ah large-capacity cells, further advancing energy density.

Compared with 314Ah products, the Wending® 392Ah Cell delivers a 25% capacity increase, reaching 1.25kWh per cell. Under 0.5P operating conditions, the cell achieves up to 95% energy efficiency and supports applications ranging from residential ESS to grid-side storage projects.

Meanwhile, the Wending® 588Ah Cell reaches 1.88kWh per cell. Leveraging Wending® technology, which enables shorter electron transmission paths and faster ion transport, the product achieves a balance of energy density, safety and cycle life. With over 10,000 cycles and a lifespan of 25–30 years, the cell is designed for long-duration energy storage applications.

Integrating 392Ah cells within a standard 20-foot container, the system increases total energy capacity to 6.26MWh, delivering a 25% improvement in energy capacity while reducing site footprint by 16% and onsite installation time by 18%.

The system supports stable operation across temperatures ranging from -40°C to 60°C, features 95.5% system efficiency and 2A active balancing capability, meeting high seismic resistance requirements, achieving zero thermal propagation, safer and more efficient transportation.

Passenger Vehicle Solutions Focus on Fast Charging, Extended Range and Hybrid Solid-Liquid Batteries

In the passenger vehicle segment, REPT BATTERO introduced its 120Ah fast-charging cell, high-capacity fast-charging hybrid PACK solutions, hybrid solid-liquid high-nickel and manganese-based battery systems.

The 120Ah Fast-Charging Cell supports 6C ultra-fast charging through advanced thermal management across a wide temperature range from -40°C to 70°C, balancing high energy density with enhanced safety performance.

The Wending® 54Ah Cell, one of the company’s most widely adopted PHEV platform products, emphasizes safety, durability and compatibility. Scania to provide 91 battery-electric buses in Sweden

SÖDERTÄLJE, Sweden, May 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Scania and transport operator VR have signed one of the largest electric bus deals in Sweden to date. The order will see 91 Scania buses battery-electric buses put into service in the Södertälje area, with service starting in June 2027.

In 2025, VR Sweden won the contract from local public transport authority SL to provide bus traffic in Södertälje and Nykvarn. Ahead of the traffic commencement date next year, VR has now ordered 91 electric buses from Scania, which has both production facilities and headquarters in Södertälje.

With a focus on electrification, operational reliability and local presence, the deal is an important step in VR Sweden’s long-term investment in sustainable public transport. For Södertälje, the investment means a continuation of the transition towards fossil-free bus traffic with modern and quiet electric buses adapted for city traffic.

“The investment is an important step in the transition to electrified public transport and enables reduced local emissions, while ensuring attractive and reliable traffic for passengers as well as a good working environment for drivers and maintenance personnel,” says Anders Frykman, Bus Director at VR Sweden.

The agreement is fully aligned with Scania’s aim to play a central role in the shift towards sustainable transport, in which electric buses are a key component. The agreement between VR and Scania extends from development and planning to traffic start, vehicle service and long-term support.

“With development and battery assembly in Södertälje, and close cooperation throughout the process, we will offer a solution that is both robust and sustainable,” says Christopher Svensson, Key Account Manager at Scania Sweden. The deal is Scania Sweden’s single largest delivery of battery-electric vehicles to date, and of the 91 units, 32 will be with a 4×2 configuration and 59 with a 6×2*4 configuration, all with 445 kWh of installed energy.

The Fencer f1 BEV buses are based on Scania’s battery-electric bus platform, developed and produced in Europe. When put into operation, they will contribute to reducing carbon emissions and improving urban environments, fitting the sustainability goals of both VR and Scania.
