GUIYANG, China, Aug. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — A news report from CNS:

The 2026 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week (CAECW) recently commenced in Guiyang, capital of southwest China’s Guizhou Province. Under the theme “Empowering a Community of Friendship through Smart Education,” this year’s event aligns with the global momentum in artificial intelligence and responds to the shared aspiration among Chinese and ASEAN peoples for deeper mutually beneficial cooperation and a brighter future.

Maintaining its hybrid format, the week features a concentrated opening phase followed by year-round activities. Core programming includes the opening ceremony and parallel sessions focusing on higher education, vocational training, digital education, international industry-academia-research collaboration, and youth exchanges. Digital education serves as the central pillar of CAECW 2026, recognized as the most promising new frontier for regional educational partnership. Years of groundwork have established robust foundations, characterized by accessible resource platforms, functional delivery vehicles, structured teacher training programs, and a growing consensus on digital governance.

Lao Deputy Minister of Education and Sports Daravone Phothipalath highlighted the Laos-China jointly-built Railway Technical Vocational College as a flagship project. She noted that such collaborations have effectively supplied skilled talent for emerging sectors like railway operations, digital economy, and tourism. Looking ahead, Laos anticipates deepening cooperation in smart education, AI, higher education, teacher development, and digital pedagogy.

Echoing this sentiment, Myanmar’s Deputy Minister of Education, Zaw Min, emphasized his country’s eagerness to expand partnerships with Chinese and ASEAN universities in digital education, AI, faculty development, scientific research, and student mobility. He also expressed commitment to closer coordination with the China-ASEAN Centre to establish institutional networks and implement capacity-building initiatives benefiting the wider region.

This year’s event fosters a multilateral ecosystem defined by “co-organization, sharing, and win-win outcomes.” Notably, six of the 60 planned year-round projects will be hosted by ASEAN nations, including Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Thai Ministry of Education Permanent Secretary Suthep Kaengsanthia stressed that China-ASEAN educational ties are pivotal to building an open, sustainable regional education system.

Cambodian Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport Hong Kimhong underscored the “Education+” philosophy as CAECW’s defining strength. He advocated for deeper integration between education and technology, industry, culture, tourism, sports, commerce, and innovation to drive sustainable development.

Since its inception in 2008, the CAECW has drawn over 54,000 participants from nearly 90 countries and regions, involving more than 8,000 institutions across ASEAN and Belt and Road Initiative partners.

Three-month initiative in Haryana’s Nuh district follows an official Letter of Intent from the state government.AI gaze-tracking technology in ‘READ for School’ provides actionable, data-driven insights into student reading behaviors.

SEOUL, South Korea, Aug. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — VisualCamp, a global leader in AI-based eye-tracking technology, announced today that it will officially launch a three-month Proof of Concept (PoC) for its AI-powered literacy courseware, READ for School, starting this September in the Nuh district of Haryana, India. The initiative builds upon an official Letter of Intent (LOI) received from the Government of Haryana, marking a strategic milestone in the company’s expansion into India’s public education system.

The three-month PoC aims to demonstrate how VisualCamp’s gaze-based reading analytics can help educators identify student reading difficulties at an early stage, track comprehension progress over time, and deliver targeted literacy interventions. Unlike conventional assessment tools that rely solely on test scores, READ for School leverages standard mobile device cameras to analyze real-time gaze patterns—including fixation duration, reading speed, regressions, and gaze span—rendering invisible cognitive reading processes actionable for educators.

“India represents a strategically vital market for VisualCamp, and launching this Proof of Concept in September marks a crucial step in our global expansion,” said Yunchan Suk, CEO of VisualCamp. “By making reading behaviors visible, READ for School empowers educators to understand not just what students achieve, but how they read. We are eager to prove the educational impact of our technology in Haryana and help every child become a more confident, capable learner.”

VisualCamp’s proprietary technology has already achieved strong market validation in South Korea, where it is implemented in over 500 schools and 200 learning institutions. Demonstrating its ongoing product innovation, VisualCamp has also expanded its ecosystem with ReadClass—a new AI-powered English reading analysis platform that automatically generates vocabulary, quizzes, and real-time gaze dashboards to streamline instruction for educators. Internationally, the company continues to scale through key partnerships, including Oxford Education Mexico, where its courseware currently supports literacy education across more than 10 schools in both English and Spanish environments.

About VisualCamp

VisualCamp is a global pioneer in AI-driven gaze tracking and literacy analysis. Recognized for its world-class technology, the company has won back-to-back CES Innovation Awards (2022, 2023), the GLOMO Award for Best Mobile Innovation at MWC (2021), and was named one of the Financial Times High-Growth Companies in Asia-Pacific (2024). Backed by 46 global patents—including 7 in the U.S.—VisualCamp transforms standard smartphone and tablet cameras into powerful diagnostic learning tools without requiring additional hardware. Saudi Arabia’s leading coffee producer adopts Plex to gain real‑time insight, streamline shop‑floor processes, and support scalable production for new product lines.

DAMMAM, Saudi Arabia, Aug. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Rockwell Automation, the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation, today announced that Arriyadh Roaster, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s largest specialty coffee roaster and a major supplier to leading coffee chains nationwide, has selected the Plex Smart Manufacturing Platform™ to enhance visibility, efficiency and agility across its operations.

As a fast‑growing producer of roasted coffee beans and innovative coffee‑related products, Arriyadh Roaster required a modern, cloud‑based manufacturing execution solution capable of providing real‑time insight into production, improving coordination across the shop floor, and supporting the company’s continuous expansion. With new products and manufacturing lines added regularly, the business required a robust digital foundation to maintain consistency, traceability and operational control as demand accelerates.

“Arriyadh Roaster is an ideal example of a strategic Saudi manufacturer investing in the right digital backbone for long‑term growth,” said Tom Forster, regional vice president, enterprise software sales, EMEA, Rockwell Automation. “One of the key reasons they selected Plex was its ability to deliver real‑time, actionable visibility across their shop floor. This will help the company make faster, better decisions as they introduce new products, add capacity and continue expanding their footprint.”

Arriyadh Roaster selected the Plex manufacturing execution system (MES) to streamline processes, unify data flows and enable fully connected manufacturing. The platform will equip operators and managers with immediate, data‑driven visibility into work‑in‑progress, inventory movement, order status, and quality management.

The implementation was supported by local system integrator GulfNet Solutions Company Limited (GNS), a silver-level partner in Rockwell’s PartnerNetwork™ ecosystem, that created a middleware layer to connect Plex MES with Arriyadh Roaster’s ERP system — helping ensure seamless information exchange and a single source of truth across the enterprise. The project represents a milestone for the region, marking one of the first Plex partner‑led implementations in Saudi Arabia and aligning with national initiatives to accelerate industrial modernization.

“This collaboration reflects the power of working with local partners who understand the Kingdom’s strategic direction,” said Jay Patel, managing director of GulfNet Solutions Company Limited. “Supporting Arriyadh Roaster with Plex aligns directly with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 — advancing digital capability, strengthening industrial resilience and ensuring Saudi businesses have access to world-class technology delivered through local expertise.”

Rockwell’s elastic MES portfolio is a cloud-native, interoperable MES platform designed to unify operations across operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT). This elastic, modular approach accelerates time to value, simplifies operations and allows manufacturers to scale capabilities as needed – empowering progress toward autonomous operations.

“Our business is built on quality, innovation and the ability to respond quickly to customer demand,” said Hassan Sharrofna, general manager of Arriyadh Roaster. “Plex gives us a modern, integrated platform that enhances operational visibility, supports better planning and ensures consistency across all our production lines. With real‑time insight and stronger control over our processes, we are well positioned to scale confidently, introduce new products faster and continue leading the coffee industry in Saudi Arabia.”
