ERETEC INC.: Keep the DUT in Place. Let the Robot Move

Published

on

ERETEC INC. has launched ERE-PT130, a mobile robot-based EMC measurement automation solution designed to extend automated testing beyond the fixed reach of a robotic arm. By keeping the DUT stationary while moving the robot base, the system enables Full Test-Area Automation across the test table while improving measurement repeatability and operational efficiency.

ERETEC INC. launches ‘ERE-PT130,’ an EMC robot system that automates the entire test table.

Mobile robot base overcomes the working-radius limits of fixed robots optimized for ISO 11452-9 Portable Transmitters immunity testing.

±0.05 mm high-precision control resolves the EMC testing bottleneck of the vehicle electrification era.

SEOUL, South Korea, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — ERETEC INC. (CEO: Man-Young Chi), a company specializing in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) test and measurement solutions, has launched ‘ERE-PT130,’ a new automated measurement system based on mobile robot base technology. Unlike conventional fixed robots, which can only operate within the reach of their robotic arm, the system keeps the DUT (Device Under Test) stationary while the robot itself moves, achieving “Full Test-Area Automation” across the entire test table. It is optimized for the ISO 11452-9 standard and features high-precision control accurate to ±0.05 mm, a collision-detection safety system, and integration with TOYO software. By minimizing operator intervention, the system ensures both measurement repeatability and throughput.

“ERE-PT130 expands automation beyond the robot arm’s reach, covering the entire test table while the DUT stays fixed, with minimal operator intervention for more consistent testing.”

As automotive electrification accelerates, the growing number of electronic components and wiring systems in vehicles has driven up the number of measurement points required in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing. The industry has increasingly adopted robot-based automated measurement systems, but most fixed robots are limited to the reach of their robotic arm and therefore cannot cover the entire test table. For areas beyond the robot’s reach, the test object (EUT/DUT) still had to be repositioned or measured manually by test personnel.

ERETEC INC. turned this challenge on its head. Instead of moving the DUT, the robot base itself moves to reach the required positions across the test area. According to the company, this moves beyond conventional “semi-automated robotic testing,” which is constrained by the robot arm’s working radius, achieving “Full Test-Area Automation” across the entire test table. ERETEC INC. announced on the 1st that it has officially launched ERE-PT130, which embodies this concept.

What’s Different? “Not the Robot’s Performance, but the Space It Can Move In

“ERETEC INC. CEO Man-Young Chi said, “Until now, automated test equipment has largely focused on ‘how precise the robot is.’ In actual test environments, however, the value of automation was often diminished by areas the robot simply could not reach.” He added, “ERE-PT130 is a product that expands not the robot’s performance but the ‘space’ in which the robot can move and in that it can cover the entire test table even while the DUT remains fixed, it represents a fundamentally different approach from conventional automation equipment.”

The change in how testing itself is conducted is just as important. Repeated operator intervention inevitably introduces slight variations between measurements, but ERE-PT130 minimizes manual handling so that measurements are performed under the same conditions every time. This not only improves the repeatability and reliability of results because human intervention is minimized, it also enables faster, more precise repeat measurements, delivering higher productivity in terms of throughput per unit of time compared with conventional methods.

Key Specifications: ±0.05 mm Control and a Collision-Detection Safety System

ERE-PT130 provides a flexible automated testing environment optimized for ISO 11452-9, the immunity test standard for radiated fields from portable transmitters, as applied to automotive components. Through high-speed, high-precision motion control and antenna coordinate recognition technology, it supports a range of measurement modes, including 2D and 3D curved-surface measurements.

– Robotic Arm: A 10 kg payload capacity and 1,300 mm working radius, combined with a mobile-base design, allow flexible deployment and operation tailored to the test object and environment

– Precision Control: ±0.05 mm high-precision control ensures reliable repeat measurements

– Safety: A collision-detection system built on sensitive detection sensors enhances safety for both test personnel and equipment

– Noise Isolation: Each of the four antennas, one per measurement frequency band, is equipped with an independently controlled positioning unit; power is cut once positioning is complete, eliminating noise at the source

– Software Integration: Integrates with software based on technology from TOYO, a Japanese company specializing in EMC measurement automation software, to support automation of signal generators and other test equipment

First Unveiled at a Seminar, Demo Requests Follow “No Manual Handling, Even for Long Harnesses”

ERETEC INC. first unveiled the Full Test-Area Automation concept at the “Automotive EMC Test Solution 2026 Seminar” held in May. Around 50 representatives from automakers, automotive parts companies, and measurement, testing, and certification organizations attended and observed a live demonstration of the mobile robot base in action, with attendees remarking that the ability to measure even long harness sections without manual intervention was particularly impressive. An ERETEC INC. representative said, “Since the seminar, we have received demonstration requests from multiple companies wanting to see the solution in actual test environments,” adding, “Based on this market response, we’re also looking at expanding our lineup to fit test environments across a range of industries.”

Strong Fundamentals, Distinctive Display: Inside TCL’s Evolving Mobile Strategy

Published

on

By

BERLIN, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Smartphones now support almost every part of daily life, from communication and photography to navigation, work, entertainment, and payments. Their quality is defined not by one headline feature, but by how consistently the whole experience works. This principle shapes TCL’s mobile strategy.

A Complete Smartphone Experience

For TCL, differentiation begins with getting the fundamentals right.

TCL develops each device around responsive performance, all-day battery life, practical charging, capable cameras, reliable connectivity, an accurate and responsive display, stable software, comfortable design and durability.

The balance varies by model, segment and market. Each device should be judged as a complete experience.

TCL’s evolving mobile strategy therefore brings together two complementary objectives: creating competitive, well-rounded smartphones and using proprietary NXTPAPER Technology to give users a meaningful additional reason to choose them.

TCL NXTPAPER as a Meaningful Point of Difference

TCL commercially introduced NXTPAPER Technology in 2021. Built on a decade of expertise in reflected light, blue-light management, visual comfort and paper-like viewing, the technology has since expanded across several generations of TCL smartphones and tablets.

Its development draws on TCL’s display research and feedback from consumers, reviewers and industry partners. According to TCL, NXTPAPER is supported by 117 patents and 15 certifications, and has received 189 media and industry awards. Its third-party certifications include SGS Performance Tested and Premium Performance recognition, as well as TÜV Rheinland Full Care Display certification.

At Mobile World Congress 2026, TCL announced what it described as the world’s first integration of NXTPAPER with AMOLED displays. Developed with TCL CSOT, it aims to combine AMOLED’s contrast, colour reproduction and brightness with NXTPAPER features that reduce glare and support more comfortable viewing.

The continued evolution of NXTPAPER—from tablets to smartphones and now AMOLED—reflects the positive response the technology has received.

The Latest Mobile Experience at IFA

At IFA, TCL will showcase its latest NXTPAPER smartphones and tablets, alongside wearable devices, in Hall 21A. Media and industry visitors can explore how TCL combines display innovation, mobile connectivity and practical design across its connected-device portfolio.

Expertise and Responsibility Behind the Strategy

TCL established its mobile communications business in 1999, expanded internationally through TCL & Alcatel Mobile Phones in 2004, and took full ownership in 2005.

Integrated research, display development, engineering, and production help TCL maintain quality while adapting products for different markets. Industry partnerships complement these in-house capabilities and support its developing AI ecosystem.

Responsible innovation is another part of this foundation. In its latest EcoVadis assessment, TCL retained a Gold rating for its environmental, social and governance performance, placing it among the top 5% of over 150,000 companies worldwide. Scores of 79 overall and 85/100 for environmental performance reflect progress in responsible manufacturing, energy efficiency, governance and sustainability reporting, including across its mobile product lines.

Product availability and features may vary by market and device. Final information is subject to local confirmation.
