TrewUp Launches Three New Capabilities to Close the Loop on CPG Trade Spend

TrewValidate, TrewInsights, and Trewdy let Finance and Sales teams verify, analyze, and optimize their trade spend data in one platform

DENVER, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — TrewUp, the #1 trade spend intelligence platform built for mid-market CPG brands, today announced a revolutionary launch: TrewValidate, TrewInsights, and Trewdy. Together, they extend TrewUp’s depth and breadth of capabilities across the trade spend lifecycle, bringing generative clarity to Finance and Sales teams as they verify what they’re being charged, see what their promotions delivered, and get answers on demand. Each is built to inform decisions.

“TrewUp wasn’t built by software developers guessing at what CPG brands need, or by CPG operators guessing at what AI could do,” said Kyle Barnholt, CEO and Co-Founder of TrewUp. “Between our leadership team, we’ve got more than 120 years of hands-on experience running trade spend, deductions, and finance inside CPG companies, matched by just as much depth on the AI and software side. When we say we understand the problem and know how to solve it, it’s because we’ve lived both halves of it.”

TrewValidate

TrewValidate matches a brand’s promotional contracts against incoming distributor deductions, line by line, down to the UPC and retailer level, uncovering variances that used to stay invisible and surfacing whether each one matches on item, period, and rate. Most brands do this by hand today, checking a hundred-page deduction PDF against a contract. TrewValidate puts that comparison in front of the user, ready to approve or dispute.

TrewInsights

TrewInsights connects TrewUp’s deduction and trade spend data to SPINS syndicated point-of-sale data, leveraging TrewUp’s proprietary trade spend data to give brands a single view of how a promotion performed, not just what it cost. Brands can go straight to a retailer and a promoted group and see what was spent, what it drove, and whether it’s worth doing again. This is post-promotion analysis most CPG teams want to do, but don’t have the time for. Pulling it together by hand takes more time than most teams have.

Trewdy

Trewdy runs autonomous discovery across a brand’s trade spend and deduction data, ready to answer questions like: Were we overspent at [retailer]? Did our last promotion actually work? What’s our trade rate running at [retailer]? Trewdy surfaces the insight, so the brand can take the action that’s right for them.

“These features exist because our customers told us what would enable them to optimize profitability and drive growth,” said Kyle Barnholt, CEO and Co-Founder of TrewUp. “TrewUp has already processed more than $1.1 billion in deductions and tracked over $4 billion in purchase orders for our customers, reviewing more than 1.5 million deductions along the way. On average, that translates to about $100,000 or more recovered per customer, and roughly a four-time return on their subscription. TrewValidate, TrewInsights, and Trewdy are built to push that number even higher, by closing the gaps between what was agreed to, what was charged, and what actually worked.”

TrewValidate, TrewInsights, and Trewdy are available now to TrewUp customers. Learn more at trewup.com.

Linker Vision Announces ESG Agent to Help Cities Plan More Sustainable Urban Environments

Published

on

By

BERLIN, Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Linker Vision announced a new ESG AI agent designed to help urban planners evaluate sustainability initiatives and make more informed decisions. By combining environmental predictions with AI reasoning, the agent assesses urban heat and shade coverage to guide tree planting and greenery management, supporting cities’ climate adaptation goals.

Turning sustainability goals into practical decisions

Linker Vision is working with MVRDV, the Dutch architecture and urban design firm, to explore how AI can help cities assess potential interventions before making changes in the real world. MVRDV contributed scientific data, shaped the evaluation criteria the agent uses to assess planning options, and tested the ESG agent during development.

An initial application focuses on urban forests. Linker Vision is collaborating with MVRDV on a digital twin that supports predictions of urban heat island effects and shade coverage. In the pilot, the agent identifies heat hotspots, selects suitable tree species and simulates the results, projecting that shade coverage could rise from 15.7% to more than 50% within 15 years.

Building on this pilot, the approach allows a shared digital twin to support multiple planning needs, including climate adaptation and disaster resilience. Urban forest planning is available today, and going forward, the city digital twin is designed to serve as a common foundation that government agencies can build on for additional applications, such as analyzing pedestrian flows and preparing venues for major sporting events.

How it works

The workflow combines a digital twin built using 3D Gaussian Splatting with NVIDIA accelerated computing and AI technologies. NVIDIA Omniverse libraries and OpenUSD have been implemented to unify city, tree and environmental data into a single scene, while NVIDIA Nemotron reasoning models let users run planting scenarios and optimize shade through natural language. NVIDIA Metropolis Blueprint for video search and summarization (VSS) and Cosmos open world foundation model help interpret video and understand real-world conditions.

In practice, a planner asks the agent where new trees would best reduce street-level heat. The agent tests planting options and simulates shade and temperature over a 15-year timespan in minutes, and planners review the recommended plan before an urban heat hotspot project moves forward.

Designing for future generations

“Every decision about a city shapes how future generations will live,” said Paul Shieh, founder and CEO of Linker Vision. “By connecting real-world understanding with simulation and AI reasoning, we want to help cities explore what is possible and make better choices for people and the planet.”
