E2, Cleantech Leaders Roundtable Join Forces to Build Powerful and Influential Business Network

Published

Alliance combines CTLR’s network of senior clean energy executives with E2’s national reach, policy expertise, and advocacy platform.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — E2, the nation’s most effective business organization for the environment, and Cleantech Leaders Roundtable (CTLR), the nation’s most influential group of cleantech leaders, today announced they are joining forces.

E2 is a nonpartisan organization of business leaders that, during its 26-year history, has helped pass some of the nation’s most important climate and clean energy policies. CTLR is the premier private network for senior leaders driving the transition to resilient infrastructure, energy independence, and sustainable economic growth.

Under the agreement, CTLR will retain its name and identity and will become a program of E2, backed by E2’s national and state policy, advocacy, and communications resources. CTLR CEO Ann Davlin and other CTLR staff will join the E2 team. The move comes as CTLR prepares to mark its 10th year in 2027.

The addition of CTLR’s cleantech executives to E2’s national network of more than 13,000 business leaders will significantly bolster E2’s reach, influence, and advocacy strength and expand its national footprint.

“This is a moment for business leaders to lead,” said E2 Executive Director Bob Keefe. “By bringing CTLR into E2, we’re creating a stronger, more influential voice to get our clean economy back on track in America.”

CTLR members will keep the strategic networking, investment opportunities, and dynamic events with the candid, off-the-record dialogue that has defined the network since its founding. As part of E2, CTLR members will now also have a powerful outlet to amplify their voices and help shape and pass policies to expand clean energy and improve our economy and our environment. They can also participate in E2’s national and regional events and access E2’s renowned data and research, which tracks the clean economy.

“This is about creating more value and more opportunity for our members,” said Ann Davlin, CEO of Cleantech Leaders Roundtable. “CTLR has built an extraordinary community of senior leaders who want to understand where the clean energy economy is going, learn from one another, and build the relationships that help move markets. By joining forces with E2, we can dramatically expand what we offer: more cities, more sectors, more resources and a direct connection between business leadership and the policy decisions shaping our industry.”

“We created E2 more than 25 years ago with the conviction that business leaders can change the paradigm on the economy and the environment,” said E2 Chair and Co-founder Nicole Lederer. “Clean energy right now is at the center of our nation’s economic and environmental future. By combining our organizations, we’re giving the business voice for smart policy more power and impact.”

“The energy industry has reached a point where dealmaking, capital, innovation, and smart policy can’t operate in separate lanes,” said Jigar Shah, co-founder of Cleantech Leaders Roundtable. “Bringing CTLR and E2 together creates that bridge — pairing one of the strongest networks of energy executives and investors with the policy infrastructure needed to cut red tape, unlock American manufacturing, and keep the U.S. competitive globally.”

“Jigar and I started Cleantech Leaders Roundtable to be the home for funded CleanTech founders and their ecosystems. We were convinced the leaders building clean economy growth companies needed a trusted place to come together and build meaningful relationships,” said Jacob Susman, co-founder of Cleantech Leaders Roundtable. “Joining forces with E2 lets us preserve what makes CTLR distinctive while expanding our reach and resources for members.”
