Jonathan Reyes to Lead National Catholic Outreach

GOLDEN, Colo., Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — FOCUS, one of the largest Catholic outreach and missionary organizations in the country, announced today that Jonathan Reyes will serve as the organization’s next chief executive officer, effective Nov. 16. Reyes steps into the leadership of a strong and unchanging mission: helping people encounter Jesus Christ and equipping them to live as missionary disciples for the building up of the kingdom of God.

FOCUS walks alongside people in all stages of life, partnering with local Church leaders to equip men and women — through Bible studies, mentorship, mission trips and conferences — for a lifetime of evangelization and discipleship. Reyes’ background is marked by decades of executive leadership in evangelization, charity and Catholic higher education, uniquely equipping him to take on this new role.

“Decades ago, I joined FOCUS at Curtis Martin’s invitation to support the important work of missionary formation. That invitation changed my life in ways I never could have imagined,” said Reyes. “Over the years, I have watched God use this apostolate to transform thousands of lives on college campuses and in parishes. That fruit is a sign of God’s blessing and a testimony to the faithful leaders and missionaries who have given themselves completely to the Great Commission. It is a privilege to serve alongside them, and I pray God will continue to bless FOCUS for generations to come.”

The FOCUS Board of Directors conducted a prayerful and thorough search, and Reyes emerged as the unanimous choice based on his long history with FOCUS, extensive experience leading Catholic organizations, and deep love for Jesus Christ and his Church. Reyes returns to FOCUS, where he previously served as Vice President of Ministry and Formation and as a member of the Board.

“From the start of our search, the Board considered it ideal to find someone who combined a proven record of executive leadership with firsthand knowledge of this apostolate. Jonathan has walked alongside our missionaries, and he returns with a real understanding of how this mission bears fruit,” said William Mumma, chairman of the FOCUS Board of Directors. “We enter this next chapter with deep trust in the Lord’s guidance and gratitude for the leaders who have paved the way, including Interim CEO Tim Thoman and Founder Curtis Martin.”

Reyes has served for nearly 30 years in senior leadership and CEO roles, including his recent position as the Senior Vice President of Communications for the Knights of Columbus. His service in the Church includes nearly a decade with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops in two senior roles and leading Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver. Reyes served as the co-founder and first president of the Augustine Institute and founded the apostolate Christ in the City while in his role at Catholic Charities. Reyes also previously taught history at Christendom College, where he served as Vice President for Academic Affairs. He holds a Ph.D. in European history from the University of Notre Dame.

“I’ve known and admired Jonathan Reyes for many years, both as a lay leader and a friend,” said Archbishop Emeritus Charles J. Chaput of Philadelphia. “He’s a man of exceptional Christian character, intellect, apostolic energy and professional skill. He knows the founder’s vision and the wonderful FOCUS staff and missionaries from long personal experience, and he’ll build on that to make the work of FOCUS even more fruitful in the years ahead. The FOCUS Board made exactly the right choice in a next-generation leader.”

Reyes succeeds Interim CEO Tim Thoman, who has led FOCUS during the Board’s national search since December 2025. Curtis Martin, who launched FOCUS in 1998, continues to serve the mission as Founder and a board member, drawing on his decades of experience to collaborate with Church leadership in advocating for the New Evangelization.

“I have been blessed to know Jonathan for more than 25 years,” said Curtis Martin, founder of FOCUS. “Jonathan has extensive leadership experience working with the Church and a deep desire to help others encounter Jesus Christ. Please join me in praying for Jonathan as he helps lead FOCUS and carries this mission forward.”

Reyes and his wife, Stephanie, have been married for 31 years and have seven children. They will relocate to Colorado, where Reyes will begin his tenure as CEO at FOCUS’ national headquarters.

New project-managed program brings commercial moving, logistics, and facilities services together, with a clearly defined scope of work for every project.

WATERTOWN, Mass., Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Olympia today announced the launch of Scope 360™, a project-managed commercial moving program designed to help organizations plan and execute office relocations, workplace reconfigurations, and asset transitions with greater clarity, coordination, and control.

Commercial relocations are rarely just about moving furniture,” said Michael Gilmartin, founder and CEO of Olympia. “They involve people, facilities, technology, vendors, schedules, and business-continuity decisions. Scope 360 gives clients one experienced team to coordinate the entire transition.

Scope 360 brings the many moving parts of a commercial transition together through a single, coordinated plan. From defining the initial scope and managing building requirements to relocation, installation, storage, technology coordination, and final closeout, the program helps organizations minimize disruption and keep projects moving forward.

Scope 360 services include:

Each Scope 360 engagement begins with a customized project scope based on the organization’s facilities, inventory, timeline, operational requirements, and stakeholders. A dedicated project team coordinates the work to help reduce downtime, maintain accountability, and address potential issues before they affect the schedule.

The program is designed to support office and corporate clients as well as healthcare organizations, laboratories, universities, technology companies, professional-services firms, government agencies, and other institutions managing complex or time-sensitive transitions.

Scope 360 is available through Olympia’s operations in Greater Boston, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Austin, and Tampa, with support for regional, interstate, phased, and multi-site projects.

Olympia’s commercial team manages relocations for corporate offices, hospitals, universities, and laboratories, coordinating everything from equipment disconnect and reconnect to phased, multi-day move execution.

“Scope 360 reflects how our commercial team already approaches complex projects: understand the complete picture, build the right plan, and stay accountable through the final detail,” Gilmartin added. “The name gives that approach a clear identity and makes it easier for clients to access Olympia’s full range of commercial capabilities.”

100kW and 72kW Power Shelf solutions highlight Acbel’s expanding capabilities in high-density AI data center power infrastructure

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Acbel Polytech Inc., a global provider of power solutions, today announced that it will showcase its latest high-density power solutions at OCP Global Summit 2026, taking place October 13–15 in San Jose, California. Exhibiting alongside its subsidiary OmniOn Power, Acbel will demonstrate power technologies supporting ±400V/800V DC and 50V DC architectures for AI data center infrastructure.

As AI computing continues to scale, higher-power GPUs and accelerators are driving significant increases in server- and rack-level power requirements. These demands are accelerating the shift toward power architectures that deliver greater power density and efficiency while maintaining reliability and deployment flexibility.

For ±400V/800V DC architectures, Acbel will showcase its 100kW Power Shelf, which delivers 100kW of output in a compact 1OU form factor. Combined with Acbel’s patented PDU design, the solution can be configured for either ±400V or 800V output based on customer requirements, supporting flexible deployment across different data center DC power architectures.

For 50V DC architectures, Acbel will feature its 19-inch 72kW Power Shelf, incorporating 12kW power modules with power density of up to 102 W/in³. The modules have achieved 80 PLUS Ruby certification, delivering high power density and energy efficiency for increasingly power-intensive AI infrastructure. Acbel is also developing liquid-cooled power technologies to address rising power density and thermal requirements as AI computing platforms continue to evolve.

“AI is fundamentally changing how power infrastructure is designed for data centers,” said Sven Lee, Vice President of Power and Energy Solutions Business at Acbel. “As rack power continues to increase, customers need solutions that deliver more power within limited space without compromising efficiency, reliability or flexibility. Acbel is building on its power conversion expertise to expand from high-density power solutions toward more advanced data center power architectures and liquid-cooled technologies.”

Acbel’s participation in OCP Global Summit 2026 reflects the company’s continued expansion in AI data center power infrastructure and its commitment to collaborating with cloud service providers, server manufacturers and ecosystem partners to address evolving power requirements.

MICHAELA JAÉ RODRIGUEZ TO BE HONORED BY APLA HEALTH AT THE 42ND ANNUAL AIDS WALK LOS ANGELES ON OCTOBER 18, 2026

Joel Kim Booster to present Rodriguez with the Voice of Visibility Award, followed by an Opening Ceremony Performance from Singer/Songwriter David Archuleta

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — APLA Health announced today it will present its inaugural Voice of Visibility Award to honor actress and activist Michaela Jaé Rodriguez (Pose, Loot) on Sunday, October 18, 10:30 a.m. at the 42nd annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles, a fundraising event celebrating life, honoring those who have been lost, and taking action against HIV. On-screen co-star and advocate Joel Kim Booster will present Rodriguez with the honor during the AIDS Walk kick-off ceremony in West Hollywood Park, which will also feature a live performance from David Archuleta. Registration is now open at aidswalkla.org.

“There is still a cruel distance between what medicine can do and who actually gets to benefit from it. We know access to testing, treatment, and consistent care saves lives, yet our most marginalized communities, especially Black and Brown trans women, continue to bear a disproportionate burden,” said Rodriguez. “Our lives cannot become negotiable when the political climate changes or when supporting us becomes inconvenient. If you stand with this community, that commitment has to remain when it is hardest. We are not disposable, and we deserve the same chance to live fully, love freely, dream boldly, and grow old.”

As the first and oldest AIDS walk in the country, APLA Health presents its Voice of Visibility Award to Rodriguez for her commitment to HIV/AIDS awareness and destigmatization, and her advocacy for the transgender community. Rodriguez lives this year’s APLA Health AIDS Walk theme, “Defend Care, Demand Action,” a message aimed squarely at closing the gap between what medicine can now do and who can actually get it.

“Michaela Jaé is a powerful voice for the community,” said Craig E. Thompson, CEO of APLA Health. “Voices like hers keep HIV and equity in the public conversation at a time when it would be easy to look away. HIV is no longer the death sentence it once was, but that progress depends on people being able to afford testing, treatment, and ongoing care.”

Rodriguez won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama Series for Pose, becoming the first openly transgender actress to win the award, and was the first trans woman nominated for a Primetime Emmy in a leading acting category, also for Pose. She was also honored with GLAAD’s Stephen F. Kolzak Award and named The Advocate’s Person of the Year for her work promoting LGBTQ+ acceptance and HIV/AIDS awareness.

This year’s sponsors of APLA Health’s AIDS Walk Los Angeles 2026 include Premier Sponsor Paul Hastings; Grand Sponsors ABC 7, Gilead, and Paramount; Principal Sponsors Anthem, City of West Hollywood, ViiV Healthcare, Latham & Watkins, and NuvemRx; Major Sponsors Albertsons and Starbucks; Supporting Sponsors City National Bank, Baldwin Hills Investors, Ltd., and The Abbey; and Event Sponsors Amgen, Decron, Lionsgate, Eddie’s Pharmacy, KPMG, Queer Industry Night, Enterprise Mobility, Jeni’s Ice Creams, Keck Medicine of USC, and Room & Board Home Furnishings.
